I have looked everywhere on the internet to find out what this is with 0 luck. I have a galaxy s6 SM-G920T (zerofltetmo) with a baseband version of G920TUVS5EQA2. At first i believed this to be a hardbrick, but i did research and this is NOT a hardbrick. My phone will not turn on. the only way to get my phone to turn on is to hold the power button and volume down button for 10 seconds and then press volume down, home button, and power button all at once to boot into download mode. my phone is only capable of booting into download mode and it is extremely difficult to do so. this process is very tricky because there is no way to tell if my phone reset when i hold down the volume down and power button. my phone screen is only active in download mode. there is no boot logo or anything. i have provided as much detail as i can. please help me.:crying::crying::crying:
i should also put out there that i have tried multiple times to flash recovery or firmware with odin in download mode. after a successful flash of a firmware or recovery img, the phone would just go back to being brain dead.
(it would do nothing still)
Try booting to stock recovery. If it didnt work, try flashing custom recovery and boot it.

i have already tried to flash twrp and stock firmware but it still will only boot to download mode
on second thought this could be a hard brick. but when i look up videos on a hard bricked s6 their phone still shows the boot logo. mine shows nothing. at first i thought it could be hardware failure but it can still boot to download mode so that would not make any sense.
okay..... i have done more research and i believe it to be a hard brick. but unlike most hard bricks, i still have download mode. anything i flash with odin does not unbrick my phone. if someone has a file that could unbrick my phone then please send a link

Can you access to download mode ?
If you can try to flash an other fw
No, I only get the "PHONE ----"TIANGLE-----"COMPUTER" logo at start up.
I tried all sorts of button combinations to boot up in download mode, but nothing seems to work.
Thanks for your reply though

Your phone is bricked I'm afraid
to begin with you needed Odin 3 or Odin 4
Odin 1.x is not compatible with Galaxy S
if you can enter download mode via the 3 button, you can easily reflash again
if you can't get the 3 buttons to work, send it back to the place where you purchased the phone to have it serviced or warranted
Is there any hope for me?
Running stock 4.0.4 on my unrooted GT N7000. Phone was plugged in and charging (nearly full 89%) when I tried to use swipepad to launch my goole reader app. Everything froze while still in swipepad and was unresponsive for about five minutes while I waiting for a crash report. Crash report never came so I tried the power button. No response, still showing the frozen swipepad screen. Took the battery out and put it back in again, hit the power button and it shows the galaxy note launch screen (Galaxy Note GT N7000 in white on the black screen). It stays there with no change (this is a bootloop, right?).
I've tried going into recovery mode (vol down, home and power) and nothing happens, it just goes into the bootloop. Tried to get into odin mode (vol up, home and power) and I can get to the warning screen where you can select either boot as normal, or download mode. Boot as normal leads to bootloop, download mode gets immediately frozen.
I've also tried the "take battery out, hold volume, home and power while replacing battery" process with no luck
What happened? What did I do? What do I do?
I'm dying here.
As far as I can tell, all solutions I've seen have involved access to recovery mode....

You are not in a bootloop (which is when the bootanimation repeats over and over) you are stuck in the splash screen. Anyway, that is not important. As you are running the stock ICS firmware which has the brick bug, I would suggest you flash the rom again in ODIN PC. Find your firmware and follow the tutorial in here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1329360
DO NOT TRY TO WIPE ANYTHING IN STOCK RECOVERY.

Thanks for clearing that up (re the bootloop vs stuck in the splash screen), but looking through the tutorials, even with Odin installed on the PC, I'll need to get access to the recovery mode.
I can't boot into recovery mode. What then? Is there any way to flash a rom without recovery mode access?
From what I know you need recovery or download mode to flash a ROM you may want to order a USB jig and see if you can get it to down load mode that way other then that you may be bricked

My USB port is tempermental. OTG has been out of commission for a while.
So basically, through no fault of my own and without any recourse my phone is dead.
That's just great.
So, is this Google's fault, or Samsung's?
If you have not modified the phone be it kernel, rooted it, or custom ROMs then it would be a Samsung issue in my opinion anyways

Hmph.
Well thanks again.
I guess a terminal diagnosis is still a diagnosis.
Gutted.
i was planning on flashing a custom rom on my galaxy s6 today but at work i watched a video on how to get twrp recovery, so i downloaded it on to my phone, followed every direction and step using flashify then when i installed twrp and rebooted my phone it got stuck at the boot load screen, i cant even go to recovery mode nor download mode, everytime i hold the power button and volume rockers it just cuts off and boots back to boot loop cuts off boot loop and so on, idk what to do can someone please help
Slow down, take your time. This is not a permi-brick. Just go back, start at step 1, and try again. There is hope. There must be a way to get into recovery.
I'm having the same exact issue, I'm able to get into download mode by holding volume up, home and power buttons. I'm downloading the stock firmware now and I'm going to try to flash it with odin to see if it works.

If you two can't get into download mode for whatever reason get odin to the point it says waiting for phone or connection or whatever it says then let it boot loop a couple times with the phone plugged in (preferably start from a powered off state). This might just have been lg but for some reason I remember odin rebooting my phone into download mode if the program was at that point.
*edit*
I feel like I wasn't clear enough. You want the tar ball loaded and hit start before you plug the phone in. I could be way off but it's worth a try.
I recently unrooted my phone but then tried to reroot again using ODIN, i tried to flash a CF Autoroot file on odin i found online and disabled autoreboot like it said
since then my phone will boot at all, it is stuck on the samsung boot screen and will not go anywhere, it will not let me into recovery and it will not let me into download mode, when i hold volume down and power it just reboots back to this screen.
after waiting over 14 hours i finally think i've managed to drain the battery, the issue is when i charge the phone again it switches itself on automatically for some reason and goes straight to that screen, i haven't tried to connect it to a computer yet as im at work and not at home.
please help, anyone have any ideas how i could fix this or is it fully bricked? I've rooted multiple phones in the past including this one and never had any issues, i've soft bricked before but managed to just get back into custom recovery, obviously i cant do this this time as the phone isnt rooted
thanks

its probably just a case of having to hold the bixby button, vol down, and pwr at the same time for long enough. also, try holding all 3, and releasing only the power button. May have to do this a few times, but hard-bricked devices dont even usually show the samsung logo

cf autoroot dosent exist for n960f. you flashed something that isint for the note 9. your recovery is probably screwed up because if this.
dl mode should still be accessible. search and read.
Open Odin with stock firmware and take the down button and Bixby button at the same time put your cable on the phone to go on dowloand mode
---------- Post added at 09:22 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:21 PM ----------
And flash the latest stock firmware for your version
connect usb cable to pc and hold vol down+ bixby+power button together. when your phone screen goes black to reboot insert usb cable to phone and release power button only it will go to download mode. this is the only way to get in download mode when phone stuck on samsung screen or is in bootloop. or let the battery drain out and phone turn off. Then hold vol down + bixby button and insert usb cable in phone. Do not press power button. it should go in download mode.
Yesterday I was trying to install gsi havoc rom on my s10 g9730f and seem to have bricked it. I was following this tutorial
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Quba4DSvLc
and installed this rom:
ARM64-AB: https://sourceforge.net/projects/hav...mg.xz/download
from this page:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/pr...e-development/havoc-os-3-3-gsi-archs-t4076903
I managed to flash TWRP with odin fine and booted into twrp recovery. I then performed the wipes, flashed dm no verity and then the rom. The rom booted first time (but didnt go into any set up, just went straight to the rom as though I had already set it up, which I thought was strange).
After looking around the rom and not liking it much, I shut the phone down with the intention of going back into recovery to try and flash a different rom or flash it back to stock. The phone shut down but is now stuck showing the charging circle only. It wont turn on, I cannot boot into download mode by pressing Vol down + Bixby and plugging the cable in, and I am unable to boot into recovery by pressing power, vol up and bixby. The phone seems completely dead. My computer/odin wont recognise it if I plug it in, and adb devices doesnt find it either.
All I can think of now is to leave it long enough so the battery might drain out and then I might be able to get back into download mode to flash back to stock.
Has anyone else had this problem, and is there anything I can do? Or is it totally dead? Any help would be massively appreciated!!
Download Official Rom from Sammobile and flash it via Odin from PC.
ok crisis averted, i was too quick to assume it was bricked, i just tried again and have somehow managed to boot into download mode after all and am flashing back to stock now

im not quite sure, i was trying all the different button combinations again (which i had tried many times previous), and i think it was when i was holding power and volume down for a while, that suddenly the white charging circle went off and after being completely black for a few seconds, the samsung logo appeared, at which point i managed to boot back into the device. It obviously wasnt bricked but was definitely stuck. I shut it down again and this time it shut down properly, then managed to boot into download mode and have just flashed it back to stock.
i wish it wasnt so difficult to root s10s, its frustrating
