Like the title says! It just stopped working after months of no issues. I have the T719, and have had no issues using T-Mobile LTE for everything, including getting apps from Play. But now it sits there for a long time and gives error 500 if I am on mobile data. Works fine on wifi. I have used almost 27 GB this month, but I wouldn't think TMO would block Google Play downloads? Any ideas? I've tried every fix I've found on the net: cleared data in all the relevant apps, removed and re-added my Google account, etc etc!!
Just went into the play store to update.
Pressed the update all button, it took ages for it to start updating .

Sometimes I will see the download arrow in the notification bar at the top, just for a split second, then it will disappear. Then it just sits there saying 'downloading' in Play store and eventually says could not download.

Well, its working for me, but not as well as before. I was thinking perhaps T Mobile will eventually bar anything from their network that is not IMEI known to them. Especially tablets. . but you and I both own devices that are technically phones

Things do tend to get more locked down over time, but I hope this continues working. They gotta let unlocked phones work, no? Yeah, as far as they know, that's what we have.
I finally downloaded an app over LTE! But it happened in another part of town, away from my home. So if I get home and it doesn't work again, I'll be scratching my head lol. Signal meter indicates similar strength both places.

Okay, Scratched that... Contacted Google Device Support (Actually Got an Intelligent Person this time) and they informed that it will be unlocked, and AT&T is only listed to let buyers know AT&T Service can be used on the Device. (and he hinted at a possible AT&T Data Only plan for the N7)

but with my experience with Google Support is they are often wrong...
YOu can't even select it now. For me it takes me to a page where it says, "The page doesn't exist on this server" or something.
Remove the _att from the end of the link.
strangely enough the canadian version of those pages don't have that issue. In canada (and likely UK and so on too) it's still the old "unlocked" thing in the selection and it works like it used to with the american before the change.
It is available for sale yet? Neither _att or without it works with a purchase link .

They haven't started selling yet, so it's not really OOS. Also, I've seen them change the links twice now. It's still slightly broken (ie: if you click on AT&T then 3G again, it gives you an error message about not available in your country).
Any second now.....and it should go on sale......hopefully....

It looks like they already sold out, I managed to get in an order of the Nexus 7 w/ the ATT Sim Card, but the device said 'unlocked'. The strange thing is, if you're on the page where it gives the description of the Nexus 7 3G + ATT Sim Page, if you scroll down, you'll see a 3rd Card that lists "Nexus 7 + WIFI + HSPA" w/o the ATT Logo and if you click that one I see that it's "Not available in your country"...

Nice and convienent feature anytime I make purchases at a store. Only certain locations are available to use pay pass but, so far the places I got to use them like CVS home depot chevron bp petco pollo tropical all work flawlessly and seamlessly. Had that happen to me too. Talk about looking like an idiot. I have the mastercard paypass app on my phone and try to send an error report through the app. Doubt it does any good, but at least I'm trying.

I also tried it at Best Buy, and the clerk was annoyed that I wanted to try. He said that it never works, and wasn't worth trying. I still have yet to find a store that can even take it. A friend mentioned McDonald's as a place to try, but I have yet to try.

Tap to pay is an awesome way to pay for stuff, but stores just need to step up with the times. There's this card thing where you can put multiple cards on one card, but if you could just use your phone, it would be a lot easier.

Exactly. I always just look for the little lights and if they're lit up then I try Tap and Pay otherwise I just use my normal credit card.

I have used it at CVS.
I have used it a few times at Rite Aid. Remember you have to be unlocked and online for it to work.
I have been using my Google Wallet debit card a lot since my usual debit card was part of the Target mess.

I'm pleased to announce that I had my first successful purchase last night using tap and pay. I drove to McDonald's after hearing that they accept it, and it worked perfectly. The cashier thought I was some sort of wizzard, and I had to explain to her exactly what I just did.
I'm not sure how practical it is, but is sure is nifty.

Finally got mine to work this weekend at CVS in NOLA. My buddies were all excited to see someone using NFC to pay for stuff and I was excited it actually worked.
Best Buy intentionally disabled it on their systems, even though the hardware supports it. I did get mine to work flawlessly at McDonalds.
Installed the Nexus 5 Wallet APK. Works great if the POS system supports it.
Walgreen's in my area disables their pay wave machines for some odd reason too??
Been using it since I got my Galaxy Nexus way back when. I love it.

Is there a way to close all running apps with one button? Previous versions of Android had it and I feel like a reviewer mentioned using the feature. I just don't have the button on my screen.

Nope. In custom ROMs for other phones (CM12 Pre-nightly) theres a button that clears all the apps in recents but its not present in stock Android.
You'll have to wait for the custom ROMs to come before you get this feature.
As far as I know there is not a way to do this. There should be in my opinion though. Maybe a mod soon

It does nothing to improve your experience but degredation in opening speed and CPU required to do so is possible. Some apps will even function incorrectly (bad design on their part, but easy to do)!

Without question you're right.
Problem is not all apps behave and not all of us are experts at identifying which app is the problem. This is where help is needed from the OS. And it seems like rather than making it easier they're making it harder (by requiring root to get certain usage data, i.e. GSAM).
Until then, folks will want a "clear all".

Going into Settings>Apps>Running will show which apps are running in the background. They will be doing so even after you clear all.

For me I'm not concerned about performance, but when you've got 40 or so different tabs to scroll through sometimes its nice just to close them all and start over. This is when a close all would be nice to have in stock android.

Its meant to be used for quick task switching. If you're trying to use recents to find an app older than say the last 5 or so, you don't want to be doing that.
Why they have to go so far back is beyond me.
If you're rooted, chain fire has an app (called recently) that helps manage recents. I set mine to show only actual running app and 5 more apps after that, for up to 2 hours. It also has a clear all button which as mentioned, should NOT be used.
If you want to root your phone you can keep it on the stock ROM and just install Recently by Chainfire.

I got a few app updates recently (including the 100GB one drive offer) but I also lost options for Google now that were there before. I can only say "ok Google" from the Google app now.

Yep I can also confirm an update removed the Ok Google commands. I was previously able to use the hot word from my lockscreen and now it only works within the Google search app. Pretty ****ing disappointing, I truly miss the Ok Google commands of the Nexus 6.
I still have them on my AT&T GS6. All up to date so far and everything working fine.
Just bought one of these to compliment my Nexus.
Definitely missing and definitely disappointing.
This is really weird...I guess I'll keep monitoring the app updates. Super strange.

I have the newest 64 bit version installed and I linked to it in a thread in general. It's from the N9 and is not what is on your phone now. Still not there.

I can all but guarantee it was a server side tweak and was done on purpose. Why?
My theory? Microsoft and Cyanogen got into bed together to replace core Google apps on upcoming phones. This phone comes with a OneDrive promotion. This is them fighting back.
Nutty and conspiracy theory ridden, but it crossed my mind ?

My first blame went to Samsung. Thought, "Oh here goes Sammy trying to make us use the crappy S Voice that NEVER wakes on command."
Has anyone else notices Google Voice Typing sucks now, too? It never starts listening when I start it up. I have to tap it a few times to get it to work.
Mine works ok still but I'm dying without ok Google being able to be used all over the phone.

Voice-to-text is fine again for me. Just had to clear cache for Play Services.

I too noticed the voice activation loss then went to GNL and it's working again.
So now not sure it ever worked or I only noticed when I used GNL prior. In any case gonna keep it on the phone as the feature is very useful to me.
I'm using Nova Launcher and it has a feature to use it unfortunately can't use it when phone is locked.
Having a bit of a problem using familywhere on t mobile. I'm able to locate myself and anyone else in my family using a galaxy s6, an idol 3, and a nexus 6 that a bought this summer. But i'm unable to locate anyone using a nexus 6 a bought last week and a nexus 6 that I bought last month. I've checked and double checked the settings, have the t mobile build of 6.0. everything seems the same as the older nexus 6 (same build mra58x, same settings) but I still cant find a way to get the 2 newer phones located. I have also switched out sims from other family members who are part of the account and its unable to locate any of the on the newer nexus 6, but work fine on my other phones including that older nexus 6. Anyone have any ideas or tips?

i enabled the tmo settings for it online and it tracked my n6 no problem. it was so annoying though, so i disabled it again.

yes. but i dont think that would do anything for it, as all nexus 6 are running the same software, and i dont run any of the specific tmobile builds(im always modding my phone).
Ok so after messing around with settings I was able to get the phone to be located by going into the cell networks settings menu and switching off 'Enhanced 4G LTE Mode'. Not sure if this means I wont get hd voice or volte though. That older nexus 6 that has always worked in familywhere has enhanced 4g enabled, and everything works fine. Maybe its some bug?
odd. mines on, volte and everything is working. bug, maybe. or a bug on their end?
