I have unlocked the bootloader but when I boot into Twrp recovery and Format the Data then I am unable to Enable the USB in the Enable MTP section . So, because of this I am unable to transfer any files and I am unable to root my phone . Please help me . Thank you .
I have the same issue. Even if I disable and then again enable mtp, the internal storage isn't displayed on my computer. I had formatted data. Because of this I cannot even load any OS zip and my phone is just with no OS. It's not working on any version of twrp posted in the official twrp page for the x526. Can anyone help? It's urgent.
How can I transfer files from my PC to x526 when it's in TWRP? Reinstalling Twrp or Full device wipe didn't help either.
Disabling/Enabling MTP makes the disconnection/connection sound on my PC ,but No x526 data disk is displayed.
Can anyone please reply? Is MTP transfer working fine for everyone else?

1. Usb type C otg cables are costly
2. I'm not looking forward to an added hassle of moving files into a flash drive when there is an option to directly put files in root memory.
Here is the solution :-
1 open twrp recovery in your phone
2 connect the data cable to your phone and your computer
3 in the recovery click on ENABLE MTP option
4 after that download MINIMAL ADB AND FASTBOOT SOFTWARE IN YOUR COMPUTER i will post the link
5 install it on your pc and copy any file you wanna past and past it in the c drive programme files x86 minimal adb folder
6 than open the cmd by shift and right click open cmd here
7 in cmd type 1st command - adb devices hit enter
2nd. adb push (file name) without breakets /sdcard/.
Done your file will be copied to twrp and now you can easily flash a rom , file etc.

It's a very roundabout way of doing a simple thing.
Does mtp work for you on your x526?
If yes which version /variant of twrp are you on?

I have the same problem as you have with my cm 14 version of my Ray. I just hear the USB-off sound when plugging in and out the USB cable but never saw a drive symbol on my laptop (Windows 7).
I would wish to find the answer why it doesn't work.
However, I found a way out:
The only file transfer method that works fine is USB-OTG.
Hope that helped...
Best wishes.

You really need to give a bit more info. It looks like your PC isn't seeing your phone. This could be due to a number of reasons, including wrong driver, bad usb cable, phone not set up correctly (adbd not started), etc...
What exactly have you done? From what you've posted I've no idea if you phone is even hooked up with a cable...
OP, go into Device Manager on your PC with your N1 plugged into USB. Is there a yellow warning triangle with an exclamation point next to the entry for ADB Device/Nexus one?
On Windows 7 i've always had to install N1 drivers manually from a package i found here:

Hello guys,
I have an htc one m7. I stupidly wiped system partition beforehand and downloaded an older ruu in order to get my htc one in a clean stock condition. Unfortunately, not only can I not boot up the system of the phone, I can't download anything in twrp (also tried cwm) because nothing mounts from the phone, including mtp. I still have the bootloader and recovery options .Here's what steps I tried:
fastboot rom pushing-FAIL
adb sideloading-worked to 100%, but then I get a status protocol error from twrp
adb pushing- did not help(don't know why, nothing shown in cmd)
drivers install sometimes but most of the time say not installed.
What I may try-
usb otg, but don't know if it will work if nothing mounts on my phone from twrp?
another computer.
I'm really worried that I may have converted my phone into an expensive paperweight. Is this a hard brick? How can I get out of this? Thanks so much!

You can not mount your phone like a storage device on your computer when it is booted in recovery. When you mount something in recovery, you mount it so the recovery can access it, not the computer. Use adb push, adb sideload or usb otg.

Just unlocked and rooted my phone a few days ago and I made a nadroid backup with TWRP. Of course, that has taken up most of my storage and defeats the logic of having a backup somewhere other than the device being backed up.
It's been a few years since I last had a phone I could root. My last one could be mounted as a USB drive and any files easily taken off the phone. I could push it up to dropbox but even on a wifi connection with cable broadband that will take half a day.(the backup is like 5gb)
Is there an app I can use to push the file via the USB or even wifi to my PC?

Easy. Connect to PC via USB. Go to the TWRP folder, drag off the backup inside.
You do know how to connect to PC via USB cable, right? All your folders will show up like a flash drive. Look for TWRP.
How big is your backup? Something is wrong if it takes up most of your storage. I keep one or two backups on my phone all the time. Usually just one, as that's all I really need. I make a backup almost daily. In TWRP settings, you can choose level of compression. More compression will make smaller size.

You made the backup with TWRP, right?
What version of TWRP are you on?
in the PC view, you will see all your folders. Inside TWRP will be the backup file.
No, the droid turbo doesn't support USB mode. It only supports MTP or PTP modes. If you going to be condescending at least know the product.

If that's a limit of Verizon stock ROM, then that's your fault.
You're saying Verizon stock ROM doesn't allow you to see the contents of your phone like a flash drive? That's a universal Android feature, so it's puzzling you can't see the folder.
Again, one step at a time... What version of TWRP are you on? Answer the question.

That should work. but go ahead and update to 3.0.
the reason I was asking is because a year ago there was an unofficial version of TWRP for Quark that worked with 4.4.4 but not Lollipop to see files on the PC. But 2.87 is official and works. Still go ahead and flash 3.0.
Now, when you connect to PC do you see the autoplay dialog pop up?
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
And if you see that, do you then see all the folders?
Inside that folder then is a "Backups" subfolder with the backup file.
Nope, that folder is empty. It is empty on my phone too. It isn't the same folder as /data/media/0/TWRP That folder is at /sdcard/TWRP
I'll redo the backup and plant the files there and see if they show up. But MTP doesn't show all files even in the folders that do show up.
IF you are not getting the auto play pop up dialog, then it means the proper Motorola drivers are not installed on your PC.

Forget folder /data/media/0/TWRP
That has nothing to to do with seeing the folders on your PC as a flash drive.
Look at my screenshot above. You do not see any 0/data crap. It says "internal storage".
______
Are you getting the auto play pop up dialog? Do you have the proper Motorola drivers installed on your PC?
When you plug in the phone to your PC and it turns into a thumb drive, jump drive, flash drive, you will see all the media folders.
You shouldn't have to "plant" the backup anywhere.
I've added more screenshots above. But it will help if you answer the questions... do you see the auto play pop up dialog when you plug in the phone?
When I plug in my phone, in "My Computer", I see the phone model and beside it is a description "Portable Media Player". This means it's acting as a flash drive. What does yours say in the My Computer description?
Look at my screenshot above. You do not see any 0/data crap. It says "internal storage".

Yep. MTP only shows the SDCARD directory on any phone. For a Droid Turbo, even with custom roms, that directory is emulated as there is no SDCARD on that phone.
The stock rom doesn't support USB mode. Phones that support that mode have that option in the USB connection menu. Your recovery program will not make any change on that. They are two separate OS environments.
Yes I have Moto drivers installed. Yes I get the popup(when I turn that feature on in Windows. I hate it so it is off on my machine by default) And yes I can see a TWRP directory but it isn't the same. Using root explorer, I can see TWO such directories and in two different locations. Again MTP mode only shows you the SDCARD directory of any phone. You can't get to the true /. So I can't see the /data directory and thus can't get to the default location TWRP put my files. Like I said when I get a spare moment I will move that location to the "sdcard" and try again. Thanks anyway talking to you let me work out what was going on so you have been a help.

Accessing from TWRP instead of the normal phone allowed the hidden root files to be seen. It still only provides MTP access to the emulated SDCARD but that is enough to get the job done.. TWRP is root level and the normal file sharing isn't so I'm guessing that is the issue. A custom ROM probably gives full root access even from the phone.
Sorry guys I been off here for a bit been runing high fever and found out I have pneumonia. Thank you guys for stepping up and help each other. It is going to be a week or so before I am feeling better. We maybe able to have a custom build of marshmallow by the end of the month.
Twrp locks and hides backups after you exit twrp you must cope backups to your PC from twrp this info was listed and is also on twrp forums.
If anyone is still stuck with anything just PM me so I do not have to reply to stuff that may have already been fixed.
Thank you.
I to discovered the lack of access to the TWRP files in regular viewing when connecting the phone to PC. My solution was to move the file to 0/emulated using a file Explorer on the phone. Doing it from within TWRP, connected to PC is good to know.

Ok,after a lot of searching,i found out that my problem was that windows 10 decided to install leeco drivers instead of google adb drivers.
So i remove the leeco drivers following this guide and then Installed Google drivers and successfully worked with adb links that you guys provided,so thank you very much for the help!
Guide by nAFutro on reddit:
A few steps to get rid of the LeMobile pesky driver.
Have the device manager opened "devmgmt.msc". Make sure the LeMobile is visible in the device tree by connecting your phone or tablet.
Open the Command Prompt with Admin privilege. type "pnputil /enum-drivers" This should generate a list, lookup the "Published Name" value of the LeMobile driver, should be something like "oem??.inf" Remember this name.
Use the following command in the Command Prompt with Admin rights: "pnputil /delete-driver oem??.inf /force" Of course oem??.inf should be the name you found in step 2.
Go to the device manager. Right-click on the LeMobile device still shown in the device manager and select "Update Driver Software". Now you can browse to your preferred driver like the one in location "C:\Program Files (x86)\Android\android-sdk\extras\google\usb_driver"
And You're done! Cool thing is that you will have to do it again if you connect a tablet or something new and Microsoft decides the LeMobile driver is better then Googles driver...

REQUIREMENTS:
ADB: https://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4623157&d=1540039037
STEPS:
1. Turn on USB debugging in your phone from developer options

3. Type the following commands without the ""

5.Open the cmd window again and connect your device and type the following command
"adb shell cmd package install-existing <cn.nuba.supersnap>"
6. Reboot your device and your problem will be fixed
Hi,
I just tried your instructions, and eventually, it worked out. I fixed the issue. But your manual contains some slight errors:
- The “pm uninstall -k --user 0 <cn.nubia.supersnap>” part should be typed in CMD without the < > marks, this is kind of unclear.
- Step 5 contains 2 errors, cn.nuba.supersnap should become cn.nubia.supersnap, and here the command only works when you
remove "adb shell", so: ''cmd package install-existing cn.nubia.supersnap" should work.
At least with me it worked like this, hope it helps.
Kind regards
I could not understand the starting process..
Please I didn't understand what's ABD Folder...I couldn't find it anywhere ..
