I'm pretty sure that the Note 7 s pen will work the exact same with the Note 8 but I'm not sure about the size differences (if it will actually fit inside the phone)

It's the exact same
I dont know if the note 7 spen will fit in the slot.
It should work just find tho because the tech is about the same.
I remember when the note 7 came out people compared it to the note 5. The 5 was bigger and more square but it work just find on the note 7 just wouldnt fit in the slot.
But i got 2 of the note 7 spen and i will try them out when my note 8 comes.

It will fit, there's a video of a guy fitting the note 7 pen into the note 8.
Is it a different pen altogether or is the the same part #?

Thanks for the head's up. I went on the Bay and picked up a N7 coral blue s-pen before the prices start to rise.
Also found the Youtube video where the guy inserts the N7 pen into the N8. It is a perfect fit.

def do not put the note 7 pen in the note8 that will void you warranty. you can get the note pen at sfelectronics i beleive .
I dont know if they have blue though. Also do you know were you can purchase the blue not8 i cannot find it anywhere.

Note 7 spen fits. I got both and try it
If the Note7 Spen fits in the Note8, will your Note8 still sound the alarm (providing this feature is turned on of course) if you walk away from the Spen? I'm assuming it will since this is a feature in the phone and it's maybe just sensing the slot is empty, right? Can someone test it?

I just installed the Spigen Oleo plastic protector, and while it's a good as such go, it's no glas.t. I had the Glas.t on my Note 1 and loved it.
With the Oleo (and I'm sure other covers would be the same) the pen moves very roughly, not at all what you'd want if you are taking notes and want accuracy.
Very disappointed. I'm sure the reason is the complaints about edges not sticking and such... but if they'd simply include 2 in every package, like with the plastics, there's be less of an issue with returns. I loved mine, no issues with edges.
If any of you feel the same please make your voices heard with Spigen so that they might reconsider and produce the cover.

Yes the s3 has a curved screen. I believe they had problems with the s3 glass screen protector thats why they chose not to make one for the note 2.

After using the Spigen Oleophobic screen I'm a lot less concerned about the lack of the glas.t. The spen slides over this protector like glass as it is, so no real need for the glas.t after all. Happily surprised.

i remember they did release glas.t for note 2, but they all had some weird sensitivity problem. thus they have decided to not make anymore for the note 2. but i could be wrong. or i remembered it wrongly, and the sensitivity issues were for the s3.

its not listed on their web site,i wonder why?
They have never made one for the note 2 and aren't going to. I emailed them about 2 to 3 weeks ago.
I think mobile fun had then "coming soon" for quite some time now.

I already ordered the one i posted, The price is 1/2 that of the link. I also emailed the person from the link if this is a all clear version without colour boarders, the item is for pre-order, so it's not finalised yet.
my photos are the actual stock, so it seems like it will not affect the sensors.

I have a Note 2 on order from Verizon and will be using it mostly for work and meetings. I would like to get a larger pen that I can keep in my shirt pocket. Any word if there is going to be a pen kit similar to the one for the first Note? It also seems that some of Wacom's other products may work with the Note 2, any suggestions on a larger pen that would work? Thanks!
I bought this pen from Samsung. It's the same size as most regular size pens. Works great with the Note 2.

I have the same one as the poster above. At work I use my phone as a note pad all the time. There are two other options but this one has the thinnest barrel size and even has an eraser. On another thread we've found that no Wacom tablet pen works but there are other tablet stylus' that do.
Once again the poster above has it right with the 50% coupon, hell if you have the money buy both. From what I understand the technology didn't really change just the size of the s pens.

The S-pen kit for the Note 1 can be used on the Note 2. I've used it from day one as I find the S-pen uncomfortable to use in its native form.

The Stylus in the pen kit won't fit into the Note 2 . I just wanted a more comfortable pen to use,hence I purchased the pen kit for my Note1 which I also use for my Note2.
is there any houding for note2 but with the look of note 3?

Well obviously you can, a 2 second eBay search would have told you that.
Maybe I was unclear. But I'd still like the cursor accuracy of a hovering s-pen. e.g the tiny cursor or pointer when the s-pen is over the screen.
I didnt think the cheap ebay ones could do. At least not according to the sellers I've asked. Or Can I pair2 genuine S-pen at the same time? But thanks for your response.
I have a Samsung 10.1 2014 tablet and tried it. It seems to work as usual. So you could pick up Note 8 one which would technically fit in into the slot. Or you could get the tablet one. You can find either on Amazon or eBay

That's awesome, so a second s-pen can work at the same time? Thank you for your time& your help.
A second spen will work, u just need to disable the detect spen in (enable power saving) in spen settings. Only the spen that is in the slot can use bluetooth.

Or better still you can check Samsungs website. Offers come up often. Just picked up a spare S-pen for under £15
The S-Pen from my Tab S4 and the S-Pen from my Notebook Pro 9 all work with my Note 9. I'd just buy another pen from Samsung's official store. Don't take a chance on third party. That way is full of heartache.
Picked up a brown Spen and brown LED case to match. Spen was £14.80 or something silly!
LED case was £29 in the same sale [emoji41]

I'm curious, for what do you need a spare stylus? Are you concerned about losing the original? Or are you wanting to use two stylii at the same time?
I recently bought a used Note 8 off of eBay and when I looked at the included Spen, I noticed it had what appeared to be felt on the very end of the plastic tip (see attached image). I also have a Note 4 and the tip is entirely made out of plastic so my question is if the Spen on the note 8 supposed to have this little area with felt on it or is this a knockoff?

I have never seen a Spen tip worn like this.
If the Spen works on Note 4, it is a genuine Spen and also Note 4 Spen should work on Note 8.
Just replace the tip, could be done with replacement tip of your Note 4.

The thread just ended right there. That photo you uploaded looks sketchy, to say the least. The tip is not even up for debate.
Thanks for the replies, I returned the phone and got a refund.
One does not simply return a phone due to a fake s pen.
Buying a genuine s pen is cheap, once the phone is in good condition.
If you can pull out the tip of the pen. Then chances are you probably have a genuine S-Pen.
Off a slight tangent just broke mine last night and immediately ordered one off eBay..let's see how that goes lol

This looks like the beginning of another bad story.
Please post a link to the actual item you purchased. A genuine "replacement" OEM spen ONLY comes in Black or a Grayish-Purple.
You can't buy any NEW spen in any other color directly from Samsung.
