Pls stop this nonsense thread. There is no BEST kernel.
Try them out and see what fits best for your needs.

Well a kernel is not going to change your idle drain since it is affected by apps in your case. As already said, try kernels see which you like and suits you the most.

Cmon,.. noone knows what apps you are running. How shall we tell you?
Just check in battery stats or use betterbatterymonitor to identify any battery consuming apps.
And again, try kernels out for yourself and dont ask here. What might might be "the best kernel" for one person, might not be "the best kernel" for you. Just make your own experience.
Popular kernels are for example bluspark, franco or elementalX. And several others. Just try them out and if one delivers whatever you expected from it, just stick with it.

I am sure as of now, over 70% of us have an unlocked bootloader. :highfive:
I am delighted that we have a CM10.1 available for our phone and couldn't express how delighted i am with it!
I would just like to suggest ideas on Kernels or would like to start a kernel thread with suggestions.
I have noticed that we have a small number of kernels and would like to know what one stands out from the crowd?
I've noticed with CM10.1 that my battery life is dreadful and the over heating happens too much. Any suggestions?

we have three kernels: stock 20x kernel which comes with 20x, CM kernel which comes with CM, and EPRJ kernel for CM/20x which is quite unstalble as it's in pre-alpha state. so my suggestion is, stick to either stock kernel or CM default kernel.

If I knew how to make a kernel I would. That's just the next thing on my list.
I also mentioned in another thread about controlling the CPU cores. Forcing them on and off when needed.
The P880 has the potential to be a complete beast, but somewhere down the line the Tegra 3 management let's it down.

Hello everyone. So I'm big on Chinese branded Roms and anything that isn't stock or cm based. Aside of FlymeOs has anyone encountered any roms for our device that are not posted here.
And please remember, do not link to any malicious sites.

More precisely, the most patient developers are here. The rest have left, because they were too tired to answer dozens of questions daily about battery life, and about ETA-s of bugs without logcats.

I just literally think I've flashed every ROM I've seen for the n6. Lol. Everything on xda for sure. And a few things on g+. What else is there.

Although not necessarily alternative because it's located here on XDA, AICP is on G+. In my opinion it is the best, the lead dev is a really nice guy who is willing to put whatever ideas you have to improve the feature list into action. And the feature list is bigger than any other ROM

In all reality. It's because we can haha. Some people just want higher clock speeds because we can. Others are fine with stock speeds. That's the pleasure of custom kernels

While I don't personally see the need for overclocking, I also personally don't see the need for a suburban resident to own a hellcat. But what the heck does "need" matter when a car looks and performs like that? I say GO BABY GO!!! ??? Overclock that bad boy!!!! ???
Edit: there's also a 70 year old lady at my church with a challenger hemi, 6.2 I think. She rolled up the first time before service and everybody was like "?????? What monster is that outside? ?"
