Just tried this by remapping to camera. Works 100%. Snappy too. Bixby button was a mistake but I don't mind having a dedicated camera button. Thanks for the find, OP

Bixby Button Remapper works

You can also remap it via Keylayout change with root

I used bxactions and it works perfect. I did the control mode, easy to do and works like a champ. You have to use a disabling package app and PC. You will probably want it anyways. I used BK Disabler and it worked as well. Couldn't get the other apps to work very well, so I recommend those the most. No root needed and no hiccup.

I used bxactions as well.
Works perfectly.
Reassigned key to launch Google Assistant.

I refused to buy this phone right now, I wanted 2 for 1 at tmobile with the s8+ but didn't qualify with the deal, I have 6 lines and can't add..
so now I don't care about breaking up my plan, but no root, no way... this is the best deal now... but the device looks total awesome, but that is why I decided the s8+ cause the battery 3500, compared to 3300... I loved the note series...

So far battery tests have the Note 8 besting the GS8+. Not by much, but still. Just shows what could have been witha larger battery. Didn't the Note 7 have 3500 mAh?

Agreed, although he said it wasn't too bad. I'd imagine it would have to be angled just right to put the center of gravity in the right spot, and you'd have to hold it right.
Would be interesting if it held the tablet in front of the controller... might balance out then. Would just have to get the gap right then.
Definitely makes more sense with the phone model... can't wait to get one for my S3.
Might get one of these for $15. Really wish there was more controllers like this out there that could even charge your device. Universal game controller would be nice too.

[Q] Removing Soft-Buttons?

Is there a way to remove the software buttons from the razr i and use only LMD launcher for buttons as has been done on other phones?
Thanks,
Addam.
Doing this without root would also be nice.

This mod seems to have done a good job on plenty of different phones but i dunno if it will be compatible, opinions?
That didn't work for me.

And i want to add a button! Are there possibilities??
in der art normalen razr
If we have a deodexed rom it would be very easy to add buttons. But with stock rom it's almost impossible.

I have just bought a razr i today and im about to root it.
If you go on the play store and are rooted, search for 'Gesture control' by GMD. i used to use it on a Galaxy tab, i'm sure it'll work on this phone too!

Brilliant. Think I'm going to wait for JB before doing this though. Good to know it works. always annoyed me how much space they took up.
LMT works just fine but the app which should remove the soft keys simply does nothing

Is there a custom launcher that kepps the softbutton bar transparent on home screens like the the stock launcher does? I can't use the stock launcher as it freezes very often, don't know why. I feel like i'm missing much of the advertised "full screen phone", it could look so much better.
Also, Nova Launcher seems to be the only launcher that needs root access for showing widgets in the app drawer. So I'll probably change soon anyway, even if i bought nova. Don't want to root yet.
e: Nevermind, i decided to look out for a custom launcher and i'll try Next now.

Galaxy Gear Replacement Screen

Not sure if anyone has posted this yet, although i did search .
ETrade Supply is selling OEM Galaxy Gear glass screen replacements for $7.55
I've ordered tons of things from them and they have decent customer service.
They're currently sold out but i'm sure they will be getting more in stock.
might be a good thing to stock up on since people are already complaining about scratched screens.

I hope this helps somebody

I think Depends on how used you are to tinkering with small device's.
There is an video on youtube with a guy who explains the disassembling of the watch, but he doesn't go as deep into it as I'd like.
But the process has been pretty straight forward on my previous galaxy devices. And it will break sooner or later

Your battery is at 93%. So 43% of 7% (approx 3%) Has been used by the Asus keyboard app! Maybe you did some typing?

I was hoping for this! I recently lost a file named text.doc. Could you search your server farm where you store all the files from the 200,000+ CROMi-X tablets for it, pleeeaaase? [emoji83]

What's wrong with stock email app?

I don't use this app nor have i ever set it up but it appears to be using resources.

I've uninstalled it.
If you can't uninstall it, then just disable it in the App Manager.
Yeah. Unfortunately anything built in to the system will probably be doing something in the background from time to time. I do use the email app occasionally myself, though I think email is becoming a pretty outdated concept these days with so many other ways to communicate. Sadly though, until our device gets root, the only way to stop this is by disabling the app.

With my N960F I can uninstall it (I can't remember if it's even installed in the first place).
I don't use it just because it ask for admin permissions for any business account added, which I don't want to give, so instead I use Nine.

You can use Package Disabler Pro for Samsung from the play store. No root needed for snapdragon at least.
