Hey guys,
I installed the lastest OTA Update on my P9 (called B390) and tried to install a TRWP on the device, but no TRWP started working...
I tried every built I could find in this forum, but no one started to work.
Can anyone of you help me with this problem?
How did you try to install it?
Download 3.0.3 version of twrp
find latest i gues for nuget twrp, if corect it was 3.1.1-1. then, instal on fastboot, then, unplug phone from pc/usb cable, then, hold wolume up and do force restart holding power button ~30sec. hold bouth buttons till phone vibrate, then relase power button, keep holded volume up, till you see recovery. there are a lot who didnt disconect usb cable, what is reason its dont boot in recovery

I tried all recoverys I found on the internet like this.

I had a problem flashing Nova HD.
Not sure if it was because the recovery was 4.0.0.5
Anyway, recovery couldn't restore nandroid. It said couldn't mount /system
Then I tried to flash a stock rom through smartflash.
The flash errored.
Now, I can even get the S/W update screen for smartflash. When I hold down volume and press power, I get three short honks from windows and smartflash does nothing.
Is there anything I can do. The phone is non responsive when I turn on the power button and wont boot to recovery either.
In advance thank you for any suggestions.

U need to hold the volume key only when you connect it to the computer for the smart flash method and not volume+power keys...maybe thats the problem...
Try again with only the volume down key pressed and connecting it to the computer....
Hope it helps mate
Thanks. I did try that.
I think that the answer may be to use NV Flash recovery mode (which I did not previously know about).
Battery out. Hold VOL_DWN+VOL_UP & plug in USB connection from computer:

Long story short, I have the I8190L version of the phone, currently on stock ROM. I got the phone a few weeks ago and I have rooted it right away, there were no problems while rooting, I used the Galaxy S3 mini toolkit and used the "Flash Insecure Boot Image and Root device" option, with SuperSU 1.25. Fast forward to right now, I want to install CyanogenMod, so I went and tried to boot my phone into Download Mode, to try and flash CWM recovery in order to install the Cyanogen ROM, but I simply can't start download mode, when connected to the USB pressing the Vol up + menu + power sequence, the phone just starts normally (The OS will load completely). adb reboot download doesn't work too, vol up + vol down + power and plugging in the usb cable doesn't work.. I did several hard resets and I removed root too, noone of those worked. I don't know if that is relevant, but I installed a patched google play (4.1.10 Chelpus version), I could not find a way to remove that. I can't reroot too because I would need to start my phone in download mode. Anyone knows what is happening?

are you connecting your phone to PC before you go to download-mode???
try this: download-mode (Vol up + Menu + Power) and now connect your device with your computer!
flash CWM or whatever you want...

That did not work, when it is about to go to download mode it seems that it fails and either boots the OS or just turns off (depends on how much I hold the buttons), and since adb reboot download doesn't work I think something got corrupted (adb finds the device and reboots it, but it just starts up normally).
I'm not sure why, but noone of the articles I read mentioned the actual CORRECT download mode sequence, which is: Volume Down + Home + Power buttons, and then click on Volume Up, it is working now. Thanks.

Well if you looked at the screen you would know what to press after vol down+home+power
oh my God,
you are all right.
i mixed up step one and two of Download-Mode - sorry
first you have to push Vol Down + Menu + Power (few seconds)
start odin as admin
second you connect your device to PC
third you push Vol Up
fourth you flash via Odin.
I often flash ROMs via Odin and / or use CWM so that works automatically ....

i installed viperone rom, after that i think it stopped my rooting? root apps such as setcpu would not work.
then i tried installing a new rom.. that wouldnt work got an error 7.
i then sideloaded cm11.1.3 and that gave the same error, so i tried cm-10.1-20130604-EXPERIMENTAL-m7ul-BLUETOOTH and that did work.
however the touchscreen doesnt work? it boots fine and the buttons work (volume etc) but it wont turn off or boot into bootloader (holding power and volume down)
since then i attempted to sideload another rom, but the htc one aio toolkit cannot boot me into either bootloader or recovery.
i now have a have a phone that the touchcreen wont work and cant boot into either recovery or bootloader. any help please???
Use OTG cable and a mouse. You can reboot by holding the power button for 15-20 seconds..

turning off wouldnt work, the lights simply flashed and that was it. i had to let the battery drain completly and then boot into recovery from a dead battery. it has all worked now. thanks anyway.
So, I recently updated magisk on my phone and as usual to update my phone restarts, but this time it didn't boot up.
I think its in bootloop because when i connect it to my pc with a usb cable it goes on and off also, i cannot access to TWRP.
Can you get to bootloader (fastboot)?
If so you can restore a stock boot image and start over, or try to boot to TWRP with fastboot boot twrp.img and restore the boot image from there and then flash the installer (rename the .apk to .zip as per the new v22+ installation instructions).
I am unable to go into the bootloader or maybe im just doing it the wrong way do you mind guiding me? :/
or maybe i don't have the drivers..
my phone just connects and disconnects, so im not so sure i can go into the bootloader and launch a comand.
Can you shutdown your phone?
i don't think, because it's always turning on and off because the usb sound is going off and on in my pc so i dont really know
You need to use a button combo to get to bootloader or recovery (since you can't boot to Android). A quick web search gives this:

Exactly like what happen to my device as well
Nope, it does not let me go into the bootloader. Not even with the button combo.
Do you have twrp installed on your phone by any chance? Also a stock boot.img?
First you need to calm down I know how frustrating seeing your device on bootloop and can't even shutdown it ...
i do not have twrp, but i can download a stock boot.img
would you like me to guide you how to fix it i don't have anything to do?
Yes, thank you.
Your device is going on bootloop right now and keep vibrating right?
it's not vibrating. but it probably is in bootloop
lol mine is vibrating while on bootloop okay enough chitchat let's start
vibration is actually good indication for the next process
prepare ADB and USB cable
Now press Power Button and VOL UP at the same time wait for vibration let go Power Button keep holding VOL up for at least 3secs then let go
it's still not vibrating
now press VOL DOWN there's 3 out of 1 chance that you actually made it to fastboot mode ...
Hey, I've tried (and failed) to flash TWRP on my Realme 8, and I ran into a big problem:
The device boots up into the stock ROM, but the touchscreen is unresponsive and I can't figure out a way to power off the phone. I've tried to push the power button for up to a minute, i've tried going into recovery (vol+ and power button), tried adb (the PC is unauthorized, so it didn't work). Got a USB-C adapter to plug my mouse into the phone, but it wasn't recognized.
What can i do to power it off? I believe i could reflash the stock firmware after powering it off.
Thanks for any help!
Try to force a reboot by holding power and volume down.
Right, at least 2 buttons needs to be pressed for SoC reset, try them all, you'll find the right one.
