I was just wondering is the ear piece speaker and the bottom speaker compatible parts. I only ask as on eBay there is quite a large price difference between the two.

I was listening to some music while using the NC and I happen to notice something. Whenever I would press the home button the music would get louder. Presses on both sides of the button, same thing. Maybe a manufacturing defect? Jt seemsvtbe speaker isnt fully attached to the case.

I wonder who will upgrade the speaker first? The stock speaker is extreme suckage.. Come to think of it..... I would buy a case that has some speakers built in... There is a product that is called Imaingo who has some thumpin mini speakers, but would require extreme hackage to house the battery and bass ports without chunking up the NC thin appearance... hmmmmm
I got some scratches on the bottom speaker grill and was thinking of replacing it, is it possible ? Easy ?

From what i have read on xda the bottom speaker grill is just glued in place, so a hot air gun should loosen it, also from what i have read their are a few company's that sell htc parts and you can buy a spare grill.
I read this in a thread, some member wanted to paint his silver grills black, see if you can find it.
John.
EDIT : this is the thread i think.

Please do. I have also scratched my bottom speaker grill while plugging in the charger (don't ask) and thinking about replacing it.
So When I play music I can cover up the right half (display facing up) of the speaker grille on the bottom and the sound is muffled, as expected. But when I cover up the left half of the grille, there is no change in sound which means the left half is not emitting any sound at all. Is this a hardware fault or is the grill just for show to house the mic as wellr?
its normal

I thought of the same thing with my Z Ultra. I thought it was like the HTC one speakers but unfortunately it's not. It's just a microphone and headphone.

Hi all. Up to now I've really never had a complaint about this phone until I found an iPhone 5 the other day.
now I still don't like apple products but what I did notice is not only did the speaker volume and clarity blow my htc one out of the water but the in call volume was far superior as well.
Is something wrong with my phone or are or supposedly amazing front facing speakers not that great

Clean your speaker grills with a tooth brush or a paint push. Sort of stab the grills with the brush
Hi
Just got my Pixel 4 XL in the UK and it sounds like the bottom right speaker seems to be more louder then the bottom left.
Would be curious if anyone else feels the same.
It's still day one and it could be the song or tones I am playing, will see how it goes after a week.
There's no speaker on the buttom left side.

It's a dual speaker setup like a lot of other phone with the ear piece for one and only one of the bottom holes. The other is the mic.

Ah.. I Thought both the bottom holes were speakers as the cutouts were similar.
My last Google phone was the Nexus 5 since then been dabbling with Windows phones and Samsung
