That does not look like an Android 6.0 update though! The bottom of the page links to the marshmallow beta application.

Does anybody has a download link for this update, because my phone doesn't update?
Thank you!
Someone will make functional root for this update.
asus hadn't update their site cache, waiting this ota.
and the twrp build of MM is working on leaked beta firmware.
I found this:
fota.asus.com/delta_package/phone/WW_Phone/formal/12.8.5.222-user-WW_Phone-13.10.6.16-user-WW_Phone-10/WW_ZE500KL-12.8.5.222-13.10.6.16-fota-user.zip and it worked.

nope, that's not official release, it's beta.
it ship with broken recovery, don't flash.
sorry, I install root before first boot, and it break the recovery installation.
I wonder if ze500kg will come up soon. Might be just installing 12.8.5.222 and this update instead.

The firmware is on their website:
http://www.asus.com/Phone/ZenFone-2-Laser-ZE500KL/HelpDesk_Download/
You just have to choose option "other" instead of android on the drop down menu.
Not to mention that you have to use a computer to see it. For some reason it does not show up when I visit the page on my phone.
sorry for the rumor,
it's official release.
Has already updated using one from asus website, took long time at 25%, just let it finish its work.
I did not receive the update (and yes, I checked manually). Is this normal? Is it caused by my phone being rooted?

You can use TWRP and stock recovery flash this ROM.
It's an official ROM and signed by OP.
I have done nothing to this ROM.
Use adb sideload and stock recovery is the best way to flash it.
And it's easy to flash from H2OS to this one.Use the Setting-System update function and choose this ROM from your Storage.
Could someone add a changelog or any information about the changes they made? Could not find it on the web.
It's a pretty fast update, maybe they optimized ram management?
Works totally fine, no idea what it does though.

Make sure you're using the latest ADB when sideloading. Didn't work for me on an older verison.
No idea about the RAM management, nothing decent to compare it to.

I'm running into this exact same issue. received my phone a few days ago and it gives the "not found" error when trying to download the update.
My device says it's current: "BLU_R0010UU_V6.6_GENERIC 23-08-2016 20:17"
It says it's trying to download: "BLU_R0010UU_V7.4.2_GENERIC_6.0_20161109-1343"
Does anyone have the update file for this so i can do a local update?

I did check the guide, and that firmware/OTA post.
If you had actually checked the OTA links, you'd see that the needed update isn't there. The last OTA available to download from the guide is 6.6, which i'm already on.
I've sent in a ticket through the update app and hopefully they'll reply soon.

Honestly, you are here on XDA a developers site. I would have thought you would be happy to have the updates not working since you can just load custom recovery and flash roms made available from community.

You'd think that!
Truth is, I couldn't find a single mention of this issue anywhere online, except here.
I've rooted phones before (using guides from XDA even), but i'm not in a position to load custom firmware on this particular phone. I'm using it as a cheap work-phone and the company i work for explicitly require the device not to be rooted or the OS modified in any unofficial way unless needed for development. But XDA is a good resource for finding stock images and is the most active online resource I trust when it comes to android phones.
I contacted Blu and they told me to delete the app data but it still didn't work for me. Also my update is V7.4.2

I don't.
There are some updates "captured" from other users posted in the forum. Up to v6.6 is listed in the index , linked already.
This link is for update from 7.4.2 up to 8.3
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=72128380&postcount=2
and here too (same 7.4.2 to 8.3)
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=72146824&postcount=37
But if the OTA app is not working maybe there is something else wrong.
Do you have sdcard installed? (shouldn't mater but if so try removing it)
Are you connected to wifi?
Maybe Blu is blocking updates because they had posted that roll back.

not sure if this is against some xda policy but I opened this thread to share the beta otas with you since the OP of the other thread wanted to close it.

These require BRA1
CRE1
CRCA (newest)(Janitor87)
The rest require BRC1 (BRA1 to BRC1 update)
CRE2(Janitor 87's link)
or from android file host
Requires BRD1
CRE4(Janitor 87's link)

Some bad news the new CRE2 update requires the BRC1 firmware and we dont have an odin flashable of BRC1 the best I can do is to get the BRA1 to BRC1 update zip which means to go from one oreo beta to another we have to odin back to BRA1 flash BRC1 through recovery and then flash the oreo zip after.
Also, is everybody cool with me deleteing some of the older oreo betas? I'm running out of google drive space
The flashing to BRC1 before going to oreo beta is only required on the S7 Edge for some reason.

From what I understood, there isn't prepatched boot image for security patches above November, so I can't flash other firmwares...
Is there a way that I can rollback to NOUGAT by updating first to Pie ? And with april patch ?
I'm wondering if I could have Nougat one day
Thank you
I'll answer my own post since I managed to do it :

Battery, RAM and CPU consumption.
On ALL of my devices, I compared the oldest ROM with the next one and I always get better results on an old ROM. I mean, new firmwares are for new phones and can't be adapted perfectly to old devices in order to keep the same consumption.
It's like updating apps, in most of the case, your phone will lag more and more when you update your apps.
