Can P9 Single Sim Convert to Dual Sim like P8 Lite?

Good day all,
I just wondering can P9 single sim convert to Dual Sim like the thread in P8 lite by flash dual sim firmware?
Im very annoyed that Huawei didn't release Dual Sim in the UK

That is for P9 Lite, he asked if he can convert a P9 singel sim to dual sim not P9 Lite!!!

It's a hardware differens betwen these 2 models so u cant, works only on P8 Lite and P9 Lite.

Will c900 still receive ota updates

Hi
I have updates my UK Vodafone p9 using the b136 file everything went ok but no I have a version c900.
Question is will my phone still receive ota updates?.
New to huawei after spending so long with Samsung devices.
Great phone and a great forum.

Yes you will. In terms of updates C900 and C432 are the same and will receive all updates directly from Huawei.
Personally I would convert the device to C432 fully though as your device will have inconsistent device IDs that need changing. It's simple enough as long as you have unlocked your devices bootloader using DC-Unlocker.

Hi; I'm going to buy a p9 plus with your same ROM, C900; are there any news concerning the ota updates? Is it true that this ROM blocks the updates? Then, passing to C432, do you invalid the warranty? Many thanks

I bought it from a local guy on OLX.
After so many try finally i got bootloader unlock code from huawei. will try to unlock after getting home and will flash oeminfo and relock and C432 will report back

To get the icons correct u will have to flash hw and dt folder when u flash C432 firmware. U have it in the SrkTool Huawei.

Hi,
i unlocked the bootloader and after flashing oeminfo i flashed C432 with hw and dt and it worked. now its showing County as eu in vendor and country info. everything working fine like icons and themes

Hi Mostar, tell me; as I told you, the p9 plus (I'm going to buy it from a friend of mine) has a C55b160 firmware (Italy, Tim brand) and themes are not present...do you think that if my friend flashed the rom with a c432, before selling it to me (without unlocking the bootloader), it would be better, in general? U can debrand it the same way you debranded your phone with SrkTool Huawei by flashing oeminfo for C432 but u must unlock bootloader and root, always backup your oeminfo before debrand so u can return it to stock for warranty. U can download firmware here:

I'm having the seemingly common Android Pay issues after receiving my phone back from repair from a Huawei service centre with the C900 build on it. I have requested the bootloader code from Huawei after they refused to help get me onto the 'correct' one so if somebody could tell me what needs to be put onto my phone to get it to C432 that would be much appreciated. I'm not sure what they have put on so would this need to be known before trying to get to 432 or is it not an issue?
I am in the UK and my carrier is EE. Going through to Network Information Query ---> Vendor Country Info shows Vendor as EE and Country as GB. Build number EVA-C900B166.
Not a clue with any of this kind of thing so talk to me as if I'm stupid?!?!?!

Enable Dual Sim functionality on Huawei P9 EVA-L09 (German version)

Hi all!
I'm going to try switch finally from iOS to Android after 8 years.
I'm just having troubles with finding a clear instrruction how to enable the Dual Sim functionality on teh EVA-L09 P9 phone they sell here in Germany.
Is there no way to overwrite the firmware? If yes, which one to take? Using SRK Tool?

L09 dont have dualsim, it's differences in hardware so u cant flash L19 or L29 firmware to convert it. It only works on P8 Lite and P9 Lite.

U can use SrkTool to convert your phone, AL10 is the Chinese version, best for u is to crossflash it to L29C185 since u live in Israel, C185 cust is for Middle East/Africa. Read the guide on how to change oeminfo and custom cearfully before u start.
First u must unlock bootloader and install TWRP and root.

The tool is for P9+ to, u can not use P9 firmwares on P9+ or u will brick your phone. Always use P9+ firmwares on it. But the guide is the same for all Huawei phones.

U have a video guide in the link how to flash, it's for Mate 8 but its the same. Her is a link for download firmwares.
U need a sd card, and create a folder and name it dload, download the firmware and extract it and put the update.app in the dload folder. Update by press volym up and down and power.
Take some time and study the video and the tool before u begin. And make backup of your oeminfo and custom before.

Or if this is to hard u can always stay on the Chinese Version, u can remove most of the Chinese blootware and apps by uninstall them. U can find Google Play in the Hiawei App store on the phone and install it.

It does not mather. B150 is the oldest and B170 is the latest.

There is no specific Cust for US on the P9+
C432 is for EU
C185 is for Middle East/Africa
C432 is for Asia
Then u have branded Custs for Vodafone and others.
I would go for C432 EU cust on US.

U cant use bootloader code from video, every phone has it's unique code. U need to generate your own code.

P9 has, Honor 8 has and there is beta out for P9 Lite but for P9 Plus nada, zero, zip, nothing. Chinese VIE-AL10 has had plenty of EMUI5.0-firmwares for months so it looks like Huawei:s European offices aren't particularly interested in this model and is not pushing any updates. Makes the prospect of my next phone being Huawei dim.
It's a pity since P9 Plus is a gorgeus phone that works very well, but if not receiving any updates it's seriously crippled.

Yes, that's Africa and Asia, but it's not Europe and contrary to Samsung it's not that easy to crossflash firmwares on Huawei as they are more locked to a region than what Samsung is.

I have tested to install this APKbut nothing for me (no project for this device). So for P9 Plus VIE-L09C432B181, nothing, no EMUI 5 yet, no Nougat, so dissapointed ...

It is Region Locked to the SIM Card you use
