Hi guys,
I have an incredible S rooted and running on Android Revolution HD 2.20 . Had that ROM for a month without any problems until today I charge my phone while using my YooBao (11200mAh) external charger , and it told me that my phone consumes more power than the charge, please close all unused applications.
I was like totally lost. I had that charger for almost half a year and it worked perfectly on my device without any problems.
Now the problem that I'm experiencing is that my phone discharges faster than it charges. and that totally sucks. I need some advice,
Could it be my battery faulty or was it the charging port?
My thoughts are your "YooBao" has ruined either your battery or the phone itself.
Hopefully it's just the battery..
That's usually why phone manufacturers ask you to use their products in comparison to other "suppliers"
Update:
I flashed Nik's v4.5 over my ARHD and I tested it by leaving it to charge until 63%.
Feeling glad that at least it's charging up to 63% , I concluded that my port isn't damaged although I wasn't able to charge using my external charger. Pretty pissed.
I went up to my phone and used it while it was charging . To my horror , the 63% dropped to 61% while I was using and STILL CHARGING . WTF?
Now i'm gonna wipe all my apps and do a clean flash and no titanium backups for me .
God.. help
Did you have gps WiFi or large processes running in the background? It could easily do it.

Well , initially I thought it was , until I wiped my phone and didn't restore my apps and I'm sure it wasnt the processes that are causing this **** . Charge my phone overnight and my phone stops charging , woke up to find that my phone is only at 50% charge and the percentage drops super quickly.
Can anyone tell me whether the charging port or the battery is covered under warranty if it's within my warranty period?
Any advice whether I should get an Ankers' battery or should I purchase another original battery that cost me SGD$68?
Couple of things you could have a look at. Check in your battery menu that your phone is on AC charge mode. Also install current widget to see how many mA your phone is drawing while in use and to check the difference when its on charge. The original charger supplies around 900mA to the phone @ around 10%.
Calibrate it?

i guess if changing battery doesnt work Yoo-b-ao't of luck
After a day of test.
Finally I got tired of it and I did a simple test to really test whether my battery is draining too much or not.
I plugged in my phone yesterday night to charge at the AC adapter, surprisingly it was charged to 100% straight with no problems.
I was tired alrd and I used an iPhone 3G as a spare phone. Throughout the day I carried 2 phones out and I noticed something:
At the end of the day, my InCs still had 78%. (WiFi 3G off) .
It means that the draining of my battery is not as bad as it seems. The real problem is that I am unable to charge properly.
When im charging at 61% , I use the phone when it's charging, the percentage can drop to 58% (which is not possible as my GPS is not on) .
So advice people:
Should I?
1) Get a replacement battery,
2) Bring to the service centre (No warranty left and pay)
Do you think:
1) Port problem
2) battery problems.
Let me know

It's for me a usage problem, got the same message too. You're running too much apps at once and never use a taskkiller. You also had GPS WiFi and Mobile Network on and maybe at full brightness. Close apps, I think you need not GPS while charging and if you have a WiFi connection mobile network isnt to be on.

Are you using thev original charger
It happens to me when I use a longer usb cable (2m) than the original (1m).
I think it a quality problem of the cable, as it does'nt happen when I use another original charger with a 2m cable.
So, it's been 2 weeks since I got my p20 pro and I'm really loving it.. It's good looking, fast, the camera is awesome.
But I've one issue, well, I'm not really sure it's an issue, but here it is;
The first two days of using the phone the battery was PHENOMENAL.. With SOT of 4.5 hours with 50% of the charge still remaining (4G and GPS on, streaming videos and music.. Photographing, etc) .
But after that it took a hit.. Now I get 3 to 3.5 hours with 50% of charge (battery saving mode on) .. And I don't know what happened exactly.. Is it something I'm doing? Is my charging habit wrong? I'm charging it once a day and I wait until it gets under 10% then charging it to 100%. Is that wrong? Is it a hardware issue that requires me to replace the phone.. Is it software? I don't know.. Here are screenshots for the two cases.. Please help.. Thanks in advance

Hi!
Follow the below steps.
Phone manager>Do optimise>tap on battery icon>Optimise battery usage. And dont let any apps to run in background. Using auto start manager you can control the apps which are running in the background.
and please post the battery usage details and check which app is consuming more battery & kill the apps which are consuming more battery.
Hopefully it would help.
I was getting 7.30-8 hours sot in first 2 weeks. But now i can get 6 hours top. I heard this from a lot of people. I dont know why this is happening but probably it s about AI.

Hi,
I'm worried about the battery life of my Mate 10 (ALP-L29). I bought this 3 months ago and the experience was really amazing until a few days. When it's fully charged used to be show 36 hours remaining but now I can't get 15 hours at 100%. Is that normal? My girl gets the same phone one month ago and this not have this issue.
Sorry for my English if it's not clear for you. I'm Colombian.
Thanks for your help
No problems here.
Maybe you have an app that is draining the battery.

I Allready checked all the apps and I disabled the automatic start, even using the ultra battery mode the device not get a full day of moderated use.
Hi bro !
With mate 10 you can hope around 6/7 hours screen on time.
If not :
- Disable all auto start app
- Clear cache and restart
- Check some "complex app". Last month the mifit app (miband) was buggy, and i had to wait 2 week for an update because just this app killed 30% battery
hey, i have had my Huawei mate 10 pro since late 2017 and recently when I bought a USB-C male to 3.5 mm headphone jack, something happened to it and now I can't use the standard USB-c earphones that came along with it and apart from that, my quick charge no longer works and the battery drains significantly fast. ever since the Android 9 update, its been draining even faster. I'm really confused and need some help regarding this.
Hello Guys.
2 Weeks ago i replace my Note 8 battery and now i have a annoying problem .
Battery goes from 100 to 1% in 3-4 h heavy use (3 and half hour SOT) and stays at 1% for a long time like another hour (SOT). So i have total around 5 hours SOT I'am happy with that but i really want to see real percentage if it's possible.
I tried :
Cache wipe 2 or 3 times.
A factory reset.
Tried to let it turn itself off and charge without turning the phone on.
Nothing helps, If you have any tips and knowledge i will be very thankful to you for any kind of help.
Thank you and i'm sorry for not perfect English.

Try these methods to recalibrate your battery.
If it doesn't work, you can consider getting a new battery. I would recommend the Samsung service centre but if you know a good reputable and trustable phone repair shop go ahead and purchase a new battery from them and have it replaced.
