How do i boot into safe mode ?

power button for 3 seconds, click in power off for 3 seconds and there you have

When you normally hold the power button to turn off the phone it comes up with the on screen buttons to shut off and reboot. If you hold your finger on the Power Off button, it will ask if you want to reboot into safe mode.
i did that hold the power thing and hold the power off and it asked me if i wanted to go to safe mode and i say Ok
but the phone did not reboot to safe mode
it just rebooted normally

My LG G2 downloaded an update last night and I accepted the install. I woke up to a blank screen and i Can't do anything on it. No download mode or recovery. It was rooted before hand. VS980 Please someone help me. I see the lg screen for a few seconds then it goes all blank. If its plugged into the computer the LG screen only comes up for a split second.
Charge it for a few hours and go from there. Sounds like the battery is dead.
If you hold the power button does it continually vibrate in spurts? If so, then it's most likely just a dead battery.
Here's some more help for you.
Hold down power + volume down...the phone will turn off, but don't release them yet. It will flash LG logo for a split second and then turn off completely and stay off. You may release the buttons now.
Press and hold power + volume down. when you see the LG logo release the power button ONLY and then quickly press it and hold again until you boot into recovery.
Hit power twice to enter recovery

Holding volume up + plugging in your USB to the computer will get you to download mode as well and let you stock the phone.

Its definitely not dead. The screen stays on, but black.I can get into that one hardware mode if i press down all three buttons.

Not later than this morning I realized a problem on my Idol 4. At random moments it restarts. When it is on the screen of starting up it continues to restart in a loop. I came to the conclusion that it is a problem with the power button because when I press the volume buttons to enter download mode or even recovery, it quit the download mode (which is done by pressing power) and select options automatically in recovery (which also done by pressing power). So when it restarts I just press the power button randomly, try to pull it out of the phone and then it stops restarting. But again, minutes later it restarts... The button seems not broken or anything that kind but maybe it's in the inside ?
So just questionning how can I fix this.

I think you can just pop the screen off and buy a replacement the idol three was pretty easy to replace. No special tools just used my nails
I have a Leeco Le Max 2 x829 for 3 years now. The power button broke up. Now, the phone is off and i cant power it on.
I tried to hold the vol down button and insert the recharger, but it get stuck at the fastboot screen and i cant do anything there.
I also tried to hold the vol up button and insert the recharger, but it get stuck at the recovery mode screen without being able to do anything.
I already bought a new phone and just want to recover files inside the lemax 2. What should i do?

Fully power off the phone
Once the phone is full shut off, wait 15 seconds
Hold down the volume up button first
Continue holding the volume button down and power the phone on, continue holding the key combination until the Samsung logo appears.
You should now be in recovery mode and can navigate using the volume keys up and down, power button to confirm.
You have got it plugged in to a PC via USB right? You can't do it now unless it is plugged in to a PC with USB

turn it of
press volume up and power button
insert usb cable from your laptop
keep holding those buttons
and you go to recovery

My Samsung galaxy tab s8 ultra is stuck in a boot loop. I need to hard factory reset but it doesn't seem like power button + volume up the bootloader/download screen. Is there any other way to hard factory reset this?
Try plugging it into your computer and then holding down volume up and volume down at the same time. That can get it into download mode. You may need to try holding those buttons at different times. But try to do it right when the screen turns black at the next boot loop and then continue holding them down until it shows download mode.
If it doesn't work after a few tries, then try unplugging it from the computer and plugging it in again and repeat.
Mine was stuck in a Samsung Dex boot loop. I got out of it by pressing power + volume down, entering safe mode, and then doing the hard reset. Also if you are able to turn it off completely then hold both volume buttons while you plug it in you should get into Odin mode

Yes! That's the exact loop I'm in. I tried both power + volume up and power + volume down and it would just keep booting up normally then load Dec and reboot.
Volume up and down plugged in worked. Thanks!
