I was fortunate enough to get a chance to review and test drive this unit.
The product is solidly built, with rubber parts on the bottom that prevent the charge from moving once you place the phone on the unit. The LED bar gives you an "at a glance" update on the charging, btu may be an issue if its near your bedside. In a darkened room, it may be a minor distraction. I use this in an office setting so the led bar was not a distraction at all.
The fan built into the unit is silent. I did not even hear a whisper of it, and in fact, had to place my hand back there to see if I felt any circulation (I did--it really is quiet).
With my Galaxy Note 8, I have the OEM Samsung Military-grade rugged case Samsung Galaxy Note8 Rugged Military Grade Protective Cover with Kickstand, Black and this charged was able to charge the phone THROUGH IT! I took a photo to show this. On the Samsung Convertible Fast Charger, it would not reliably charge the phone through this case. I knew this beforehand that the Samsung would not charge the phone through this style case but I tried it anyway. The Choetech charger was successful in doing so.
This charger also charges my old school Moto Nexus 6 (photo attached). the back is curved on the Nexus 6 but the Choetech had no issues providing a secure and stable platform.
The product comes with a usb cable and operating instructions and in a minimalist design box. I am not a fan of fancy boxes because they add unnecessary cost to the products price, so I thank Choetech for continuing this trend on their products.
The unit charged the phone from 18% to full in under 3 hours. I had the screen on at times and I have the galaxy Note 8 in High Performance mode. The charge time is comparable to Samsung's Convertible Fast charger unit that I also have.
In closing, if you are looking for a simple, no-frills designed charger that competes with current industry leading fast wireless chargers, give the Choetech a serious look.

can't ever have enough photos...
How cool does it keep the phone while charging vs. a charging pad without a fan or USB-C charging?
Picked this up as well. Works just as well as the OEM Samsung one. Actually prefer this one because it has the fan. Short video on it here: https://youtu.be/WUoNYd3hjEs
The convertible wireless Sammy charger has a fan also.
As you know since you have it, the Choetech keeps the phone comfortable. The fan is not loud.
For the price, the Choetech is really a great alternative. Same consistent charging , fan...
I got this one from Choetech...

There's no fan, but my Note 4 doesn't seem to be any worse for that. I'll look to put up a full review once I've had a chance to use it with my Note 8.

So a few nights ago, I got a message from someone with CHOETECH. They'd seen that I had posted here about my Stadium Qi charger and asked if I'd be willing to try out the new Iron Stand charger. Of course I said yes - their timing couldn't have been better as I was planning on buying a stand charger soon. I only had the one and was getting tired of bringing it back and forth between work and home (not that it was a pain, but if I'd forget it I'd be grumpy ).
Packaging
The packaging was quite nice. I don't recall what the Stadium packaging was like, but a lot of stuff from China doesn't even come in a box. Quality packaging left an immediate positive initial impression.
Contents
The box contained the Iron Stand charger, a 5V 2A power adapter, USB cable, a "User Manual", and a card with instructions what to do if you were either happy (post a review, recommend, etc) or unhappy (contact their customer service) with the product.
Build Quality
First impressions - this thing is really nice. My wife, very non-tech type, even comment on how nice it looks. The stand is made of what appears to be some sort of aluminium alloy. The charging plate is in the middle and very polished (it's quite reflective). On one side is the power port and 4 blue indicator LEDs. The LED on the Stadium is very bright, but it's more subtle here on the Iron Stand. On the bottom of the stand is soft rubber that gives it a really good grip so that it doesn't slide around. Also, the USB cable that it comes with seems to be pretty high quality, on par with the Anker cables I've got. Overall, I'm pretty impressed with the quality of this charger.
Capability
Using my S6 Edge with a Ringke Fusion cover, positioning the device so that it gets a charge is very simple - it picks it up right away, vertical or horizontal. However, I found that it seems to get a faster charge when horizontal. When horizontal I get a charge on par with the Stadium charger, but it's a tad slower when vertical. Must just be something with the placement of the coils not being quite right for the S6. Aside from that, it does work well. I've had no issues with it overheating. Every once in a while the screen will kick on when fully charged, but I think this is probably a result of something draining my battery just enough to get it below 100%. Seems about the same as the Stadium on that front.
TL;DR - The Iron Stand is a really good choice for a stand Qi charger. Build quality is great, charging is on par with what you should expect from a Qi charger.
I wonder that just before reading this post, I watched a video of the same wireless charger charging the Note 5! But i don;t think the Smartphone he used in that video is Note 5! Any idea if it is compatible with Note 5 or not? Meanwhile, here is that video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vCMObdATmI0
The charger is nicely built for strong usage. Choetech built it with good quality materials. Iron stand used as charging pad is of great quality and full functional to place the mobile devices either in portrait or landscape mode. The good thing about that stand is you can watch videos while the phone is in charging. No more clumsy wire that connects your mobile and charger. LED lighting shows the status of your wireless charging. Thanks for great post.

I hadn't seen that video. You are right though, that's not the Note 5 - my guess is that it is the S6 Edge+. With my regular S6 Edge, there's still a bit of room on either side of the stand (3 or 4 mm). I looked at the Note 5 just the other day at a Sprint store and it isn't that much bigger than an S6, so my guess is that it will be physically fine on this charger. However, this is a normal Qi charger putting out a max of just 1A of 5V current. The Note 5 and S6 Edge+ have some sort of enhanced Qi capabilities that Samsung is touting as Wireless Fast Charging that requires one of the fast charging adapters. This charger doesn't support that.
I received a sample of this charger as well, and wanted to comment on it.
I had previously been using a Itian wireless charger and was very happy with how it worked on both my S6 Edge, and my Nexus 6.
The CHOETECH iron stand came in a nice package, and the coils on the stand were protected in shipping bu clear film.
Once out of the package, I noticed that the vertical stand angle was better than my Itian model, allowing my phones to stand up even more vertically, which is something I like. With my phones turned on its side, the Itian worked just fine on both my S6 Edge and my Nexus, but CHOETECH was a little picky about how i positioned my Nexus when turned sideways; eventually, I found a good spot for it, and it worked just fine on both phones.
The only that I didnt like when comparing the 2 brands, was that the CHOETECH charger charges slower than the Itian does, but eventually it does charge both of my phones 100%.
Either charger would make a nice addition to your charging inventory, and I will say the CHOETECH charger is a bit more attractive, if you prefer an "industrial" look.
Either way, both of these units work well, so the choice is yours!
CHOETECH claims to use premium quality components in the manufacturing of Standing Wireless Charger and the products. CHOETECH is certified with FCC, CE and ROHS. They also offers 18 months warranty on qi charger against all manufacturing defects with easy to reach customer services. I have read many positive reviews about CHOETECH Iron Stand Qi Wireless Charger. I am happy with its performance.
It looks a nice charging stand to charge my phone while I am enjoying a video. Hey OP, the iron construction both looks premium and feels solid, but is it heat-resistant? How do you feel like it?

Thank you for your good expectation

Bottom line, the TL;DR version, I really like this charger. Of the three I now own, it's now definitely my favorite. It's large enough to make aligning your device simple and effortless (this is the only wireless charger I have where I don't feel like I need to double check to make sure that my Nexus 7 is sitting on it correctly) and small enough to not take up much space on a surface or in a bag or pocket. With the light around the edge of the charger, it's easy to see whether or not your phone is actually charging, whereas on other chargers, the indicator light is usually obscured by whatever device is sitting on top of it charging.
And don't worry about the light being a nuisance in a dark rook — one of the attached photos (the one where you can't see anything but the charging LED of my phone) was taken of the the charger charging a phone with the camera pointed directly at the light. As you can see, it won't bother you at night. One more thing, the light doesn't go around the entire circle of the charger. It only lights up about a third of it.
If you're looking for the type of charger that you can just set your phone on that isn't a dock, I'd consider this one.
Now on to the rest of my review...
When I was offered a chance to try this wireless charger, I had very low expectations. I currently own two other wireless chargers. One is actually another CHOETECH brand charger which I've been very content with (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JA7HNZO?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00) and the other is the PowerBot "puck" wireless charger which I am not very fond of at all (http://www.amazon.com/PowerBot®-PB1...373&sr=8-2&keywords=powerbot+wireless+charger). My initial expectations were based on the latter since it is a similar shape (round) to this circle CHOETECH charger.
My biggest complaint with the PowerBot charger was that the size and shape of it just made it less ideal for charging a large phone or tablet. Basically, attempting to tap your screen while it was charging meant making your phone wobble everywhere and, since the charger is so small in comparison, it's impossible to see the indicator light so that you know the phone or tablet is on the right spot and charging. I figured these issues would just be inherent with round chargers, but that was not the case with this CHOE circle charger. It turns out I really like this charger, but I wish I could have got the black model instead.
The ring around the edge of the charger is rubbery to provide grip. For my leather back G4, that did nothing since the phone doesn't lay flat, however my Nexus 7 is held firmly in place so I don't have to worry about it sliding around. It comes with a decent sized USB cable (off the top of my head,I think it's two or three feet). The indicator light is well lit in light, more than enough to let you know it's working, and then it's basically not there in the dark.
There's really not much more to say. It's a great charger and I think $20 for it isn't bad at all.
5/5 if I had to rate it.
All photos taken with my G4. Models pictured are my G3 and Nexus 7.
Thanks and good to see your review here. May I know where did you get your cover case for your G4?

I would like to anwser you, this wireless charger works great.
I'm useing anther item more than two years.
I had this circle Qi charger for my girlfriend. Mini size is perfect for girls.
Wireless charging would be so cool and convenient. I have three all over the house and hardly ever use my wired charger now. I also have this Choetech circle qi wireless charger that supports fast charging for my Note 5. But it would be great if it was a dock instead a pad.

Looking so cool!
I feel like I need to review this as well, because I have so many wireless charging pad and I had to compare them with this. and it was an amazing experience.
Now, my co-worker is rocking with her S6 with the thick case, my generic charging pad couldn't even detect the phone to charge where as this Choetech had no problem charging through the thick case.
the case is about 5mm thick on the bottom, thats about 0.2 inches, still charges, nice!
also charges my moto 360 without any problems, guess what though! it charges my moto 360 upside down too!! that was amazing. so Choetech must have considered phones with thick cases that are having hard time wireless charging. I'll definitely put this company in my shopping list for my future mobile devices accessories from now on. they have earned my business.
it outputs to about 5w when charging, so it will take about 3 hour'ish to top off your phones, and about 45 minutes for your smart watches.
please see photos below.
Picked up this charger based on this thread and really like it so far. I was worried about the brightness of the light ring for when I sleep but it is extremely dim, to the point that it doesn't add any light to the room.
I'm using the stock charger with it and have pulled the wireless&nfc sticker from an ankway circle case (I officially must hate circle cases) and installed that to my original plastic back cover. I also have the cruiserlite bugdroid case on the phone and it still works great. I took a 3.5 hour nap and the phone was 100% charged from 22% when I woke up. I'm sure it hit 100% before I woke up.
I just received my review unit of the Cheotech Fast Wireless Charger. This charger costs 34 dollars on amazon. It supports auto-dimming so you don't have to worry about a glowing puck at night.
Just wanted to update this post with a $8 off code. Here is the code number: FOX9T3SJ Enjoy!

good review , and no angry pitch
I got the white version of this CHOETECH Fast Wireless Charger at Amazon. I use it with the new Samsung Galaxy Note 5 & the fast charging is working great. This can be purchased with the pad on it's own or bundled with a fast charging wall adapter.

I have no worry charging it with my case. But I heard that too thick a case may block the wireless charging.
I am looking forward to getting mine here and testing it out compared to some other chargers.

I have bought this Choetech Fast Wireless Charger yesterday. I am happy with its fast charging and LED Light Charging Status indicator.
Can the lights be shut off completely? I'd like to have one of these on my night stand but wouldn't want any light.
I received my charger from Choetech today and left my review on amazon, I have copied it here as well for the folks at XDA.
Feel free to ask any questions, I will try to answer them as best I can.
First, this is an amazing charger. Choetech always makes good products.
I received this in 2 days and set about testing it.
I was going to make a video showing off this thing fast charging on a Samsung Galaxy Note 5 but I see that there are already 2 excellent videos up showing that. So instead I will show you the things they did not highlight as much.
OK, the quick charge 2.0 wall plug you can get with this is the best one I have ever tried. Just like the other Qualcomm certified chargers, you will get the self adjusting voltages (12v-9v-5v) to give you a super fast charge. The extra you get with this Choetech quick charge 2.0 adapter is the USB port on it is reversible! This is the first charger I have seen with this and I now think everything should have this.
Ok now to the real reason you are reading this. The charging puck itself is a nice clean looking puck.
It is defiantly thicker than the cheapo ones you get for a few dollars. It has some heft to it making it feel more premium.
It has rubber top and bottom to keep both the charger from slipping on your desk or the phone from slipping on top the charger.
It will most defiantly charge your Note 5 or other Samsung devices quickly.
It will also charge your older devices as well. I tested it on a few LG phones in addition to the Note 5.
I noticed no abnormal warmth from the charger or any of the phones I tested this with. This is a very welcome thing as most of my other qi chargers do have heat issues.
One final thing, I tested this charger on my moto 360 and it charged it flawlessly. Most qi chargers fail here and will overheat this watch, this one did not and it charged my moto 360 from 19% to full in about 35 minutes. that is about 15 minutes faster than the stock charger does.
I have attached some pictures and may upload a video in a day or 2 after I have some more time to test this gem out.
I received this product in exchange for an honest review, this does not affect my opinion of this product.
My Review
Hey guys and gals, I received my CHOETECH Fast Wireless Charger a few days ago and wanted to add my review to this thread.
It starts off with nice packaging with color graphics on the front and information about the charger on the back. Once you open the package up, the fast wireless charging puck and included USB cable are both neatly and safely inside. The fast wireless charging puck has a piece of protective plastic on it which you will need to remove before charging.
The wireless charging puck itself is very nice. It's small and compact, has a nice gloss finish to it and has a rubber ring around it so your phone won't slide off of it while charging. The bottom also has a rubber ring around it so the puck won't slide around on whatever surface you put it on. I know this is pretty standard fare at this stage in the game, but very nice touches for a very fairly priced fast wireless charger.
How about performance? This is the most important aspect, right? To put it bluntly, it's fantastic. Compared to the Samsung branded counterpart of this, it performs admirably to say the least. And at basically half the price. I have consistently been getting about 8% charge every 10 minutes. Very respectable and performs up to spec as far as I can tell. If my math is correct, you are looking at about a little over 2 hours to charge from 0-100%.
I've also noticed that the charger has a fairly large sweet spot. You don't have to be perfect with putting your phone on there, it will charge off center. Another nice feature is the auto dimming. In bright light, the charger has green lights that glow while you are charging. The lights turn blue when you are fully charged. In low light, the lights get much dimmer. In the dark, the lights turn off completely. This is an awesome feature for people who are sensitive to lights while trying to sleep.
Overall, I highly recommend this charger. It charges fast (as advertised) and is sold at a great price. It is also well built and the auto dimming feature is very welcomed and a great addition that I didn't expect at this price point.
Yes, charge light was shut off completely.

The light goes off automatically in the dark. Perfect one for bedside use.
Got mine today in black. Very sleek and surprisingly dense. Short video here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6wMc2FBoOuY
Fast charging wirelessly is super convenient, can't say enough good things about. I know the OEM samsung fast charger has vents on the bottom because of heating. Wondering how well this will dissipate heat in the long run.
I charge over night. I would assume this would stop charging once full right? So its safe to leave it on the pad till morning... I normally unplug in the morning
How is it with placement? I can't ever seem to get phone to charge and stay charging even on 3 coil chargers
Seems to connect easily as long as you place it near the center. In the video I posted I remove and connect a few times, each time it registered fine without having to adjust placements.
Hi All,
I also just received the Choetech Quick Charger and absolutely love it! My initial impression is that the build quality is superb. It has some heft to it and seems to be built to last. The top and bottom have rubber grip zones to prevent the charger and phone from sliding around on my desk. I also like how the LED shuts off when the room is dark (great for sleeping) as I always hate bright lights at night.
As other reviewers have mentioned, it can charge the phone from 0-100% in about 2 hours which is about an hour faster then the normal wireless chargers. There's no way I would recommend buying the Samsung quick charge variant over this version as it is half the cost with the same functionality.
I haven't had any issues with the charger detecting my phone using the Spigen Liquid Crystal case and would assume that any slim fit case would be just fine.
Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with the product and would recommend it! Please reach out to me if you have questions. I'll do my best to answer them in a timely manor.

I charged mine overnight and woke up to a full charge. The phone wasn't hot (and neither was the wireless charger) so I'd say that it is safe to use overnight.
I received mine today and I can actually charge my Note 5 with the flap opened and pinned back on my folio case. Here's the case I have for reference: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B010MWJG0U?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00
When the phone is 100% charged does the charger receive the charging complete signal from the Note 5 and cut the power output from the Choetech charger? Or is the charger at 10W all the time?
So, this is my review of the Tronsmart TS-CC4PC Car Charger. Disclosure being, Tronsmart was looking for reviewers for their product, and driving a tractor trailer, I am in a unique position to give products a bit of a more thorough testing than most people can, due to the large amount of miles I drive every week. Tronsmart agreed and sent me a unit directly at no cost to me. For reference, the cost currently on amazon is 19.99$ fulfilled by amazon.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ZF7XLJU?keywords=tronsmart&qid=1446321299&ref_=sr_1_2&sr=8-2
Lets start off with what it comes with, it does come in a nice box, you get a small Volt IQ booklet, a user manual, and a USB cable. The USB cable is a nice touch, as one can never have to many USB cables. The Volt IQ booklet just states that Volt IQ selects the fastest charging speed for the device you plug in. And the manual is, well, it's a manual, it's there if you wish to take a peek at it. I personally did not look at the manual for a car charger!
Size wise, it's about the length of my finger, the knife in the picture is just a 3inch blade, 5inch closed utility knife that I use. The charger itself is right around 3.5inches x 2inches. Not the smallest, as it is a 4 port after all. But it fits nicely into my personal vehicle, and my tractor.
Probably one of the reason you'll buy this charger is for the Quick Charge 2.0. The quick charge port is denoted by blue in the ports, similar to how USB 3.0 is coming off the motherboard of your pc. If you own a Note 5 like myself, your phone can take advantage of it. And yes, it is fast. Basically a full charge in a bit over an hour. I generally leave my phone plugged in almost 24/5 while I am in my truck, for the past couple of weeks, I have not been doing that, I've been letting it sit unplugged, and then plugging it in as it drains to various levels to test the capability of the fast charging. You can literally watch the % go up when charging if you feel the need, but either way it's fast......Please remember as well, from my knowledge some USB cables won't use the quick charge, the tronsmart cable that comes with it does, and the 2 other cables I had that I tested it did. But some older/cheaper cables may not use the fast charging.
Now, this is the 4 port version. I actually specifically requested this model, as driving a truck I have tons of electronics plugged in at various times throughout the day/night. My charger is also plugged in permanently in my truck, with cords being swapped out quite often throughout the day as I go in/out, and into my sleeper and back to my cab. So far it's handled everything I've thrown at it, I did test it with 4 products plugged in, and it worked great, and charged fine although my testing with this was limited, as generally I have 3 plugged in(bluetooth headset, note 5, nexus 9), and with those being plugged in multiple times a day, it still, works perfectly as expected. I've often had problems with other car chargers due to low power output when it comes to my nexus 9 tablet, and my note 5, I often times load up the hotspot on my note 5 and stream netflix on my nexus 9, while browsing on my note, and this charger had no problems keeping both charged, and I cannot tell you how irritating it was to be watching netflix, and happen to notice the battery on my nexus 9 would be down to 10% just from streaming. This was one of my main concerns with the charger and figured if it failed, I wouldn't even be able to recommend this charger, luckily it handled it without issue, and even continued to charge my nexus 9/note 5 while streaming, which the cheap chargers will not do with a nexus 9 with it's large screen.
Another problem I have with car chargers in a truck, is build quality. A serious issue is with them popping loose out of my cigarette outlets due to poor roads. The Tronsmart actually is built quite well. It's not heavy by any means, although a bit heavier than the cheap chargers you'll get from gas stations or truck stops, it feels solid in your hands. The side metal pieces actually have a bit of resistance when pushed in, which helps keep it planted in the outlet. Generally I've noticed on the cheaper chargers they are just simply a piece of metal, this charger actually has almost a 'springy' feel to it, they also give a satisfying 'click' when you push them in with your finger and release . I don't expect any build quality issues anytime soon with this charger.
I was also concerned about heat issues with having a 4 port, as often times sitting in my truck, in the sun, will be quite hard on the electronics. I didn't notice any excess heat with this charger at all, and while it's certainly almost winter, so the temps in the 90+ are gone, with the sun beating down on the truck, it gets warm fast in there.
And thank you Tronsmart for not including an LED light on this unit. I cannot stress this enough, it's so easy to simply plug your phone, or something into a car charger to verify it's working, I don't need a bright led light to shine into my eyes to tell me it's on, I can plug it in and test it in 3 seconds myself. Such a little thing, but it's welcome in my eyes.
The one issue I did have, was with the provided USB cable. It is a quick charge cable, but it's still a little on the cheap side. The USB cable connector for my note 5 was starting to bend occasionally, my guess is this is due to the abuse, and fairly constant unplugging/replugging into my phone, getting smacked accidently as I move around in my truck, etc. I've simply bent the connector back and haven't had any issues, that said, should it bend to far, longevity of the cord that comes with the charger may be an issue depending on how much abuse you put it through, which for me, is far more than the average person. And of course, the USB cable is just a nice addition to your purchase, most of us have plenty of these lying around already, and it's nice of Tronsmart to add another to my collection, even if it's not the highest quality.
For reference the vehicle in the picture it's installed in is a 2014 Freightliner Cascadia if anyone is wondering why there is so much room, and it looks far different from any other vehicles dash setup, it is a 20k lbs tractor
At the end of the day, for 20$ currently on amazon, I find it hard to think you could ask for much more out of this charger, the fast charge works, the other ports work well, the power output is high enough to keep whatever you need charged, even while in use. It holds in your outlet well, and it doesn't have any annoying LED light lighting up your vehicle in the middle of the night. I actually hope to grab myself a 2nd, or even a 3rd to place into my sleeper of my truck instead of dealing with the cheap one I currently have back there and for my personal vehicle. I can't say I've ever owned a non-cheap one before this, but let me tell you, I should have bought one years ago instead of wasting my time with the cheap walmart/gas station ones.......And if there are any questions, feel free to ask as I'll subscribe to the thread.
TL;DR If you need a car charger with 4 ports and a fast charge port, this charger works well, and I really don't see how you could be disappointed with your purchase of this charger.
Nice review. Thanks.

Good job. Nice review. the car charger looks very nice
I bought one of these but it does not stay tight in my either of my 12V sockets in my car and keeps coming out a little bit and stops charging. I did email Tronsmart and they are sending me a replacement. Maybe the one I got was defective. It does charge fast when it stays in.
I had a previous model of this unit which was at the old "slow" charge rate and was so pleased to get the new and improved version. They even fixed the few issues I had with the older version. This model has the charging cable in back instead of sticking out the side, the LED indication light is much dimmer, although larger, which makes it easy to see where to place the phone in a dark room and not act like a flashlight while trying to sleep.
The display angle is acceptable, it works well through a case, although I haven't tried a Defender case yet and the fit is more secure than even the Samsung charger..
The unit uses a microUSB connector and a 2.1A adapter, not included.
