GOTTA have a kickstand case, but all the ones I find seem gawdy and bulky, but I Saw this case and was like I have to have it. but everywhere I looked it was Out of Stock. Spent 4 days looking, and I eventually found it on Amazon Prime for 16.99 vice 39.99 on Spigen Site. The buttons on this thing look awesome, and it doesn't seem to add much bulk o the device.
I've got this case. Love it. Can't charge wirelessly with any reliability though. Have to pop off the case, but not a big deal for me.

I had this case on the LG V20, good case. However, I find that most cases somehow always get bits of sand between the phone and the case, so on my LG, I applied a skin to the back of the phone first, then the case.
I took the case off just now, to clean up the phone to ship back to Samsung expecting my Note 8 today, and there wasn't really any sand to speak of between the case and the phone. Excellent case. I have dropped my phone a few times, and broke the glass screen protector, but the case took the falls like a champ.

I have yet to experience wireless charging issues using this case on the Note 8.
I have this case, and a host of others. It's thin, works fine for wireless charging for me. My only issue is that it feels uncomfortable. I wish they would have put a more rubberized coating on the edges. Although I loved the look and the kick stand, I went with a different case that made it more comfortable to hold for long periods of time.

Plastic kickstand. No thanks.
I used one of these cases on my Note5. Held up for over 1.5 years and totally saved the phone from quite a few falls.
Never had a problem with the kickstand breaking, despite its plastic construction.
I'd recommend it if you aren't QI charging. It does have issues with that unless you take it out of your case.
I love the Spigen cases. The Tough Armor and Rugged Armor cases are now standard purchases for any new phone. They also work with wireless charging. I can't recommend Spigen enough.
I've been using the spigen liquid armor. Great balance of protection and grip but still thin. Great price and wireless charging works.

Same here. I fast charge through the case worth ease. I'm using the Choetech Fast charger w/ fan. Works perfectly.
Got mine Friday. Great case, not bulky at all. Kickstand just fine for what I need and wireless charging works great with my Samsung wireless charger.
face down picture
Hi, could someone that has this case could take a picture of the phone face down to check the separation from the surface to the screen? almost none of the cases have this picture,
I really would like to know how separated is the screen from the table once is face down,
The bigger the space, better for a face down drop.
Thank you.

I'm surprised you say that, I am using mine daily and have no issues on the stock Samsung wireless charger, and a few choetech.
I bought this case (gunmetal colour) 2 weeks before the phones release. I love this case and had the equivilent case on ym Note 4 (took several falls at varying heights and my Note 4 still works like day 1) and ordered it for my short-lived Note 7. Spigen cases are easily my favorites but this is Spigen's best case (IMO). Doesn't add a lot of bulk, buttons feel great and work well, kickstand is nice, feels great. Haven't tried with wireless charging yet (still waiting for Samsung to ship my pre-order gifts) but seems to work by other comments above so hopefully it holds true.

I bought this case but subsequently had to return it as it wouldn't work with the Whitestone Dome screen protector which on a side note is the best thing since sliced bread.
If you are looking for a virtually identical case with better screen protector compatibility try the Caseology Legion.

Note 8 face down:
Ordered this case for both my S8+ (black) and iPhone 7+ (red). They looked great initially, but after a couple weeks looked like trash. They were scratched up, scuffed up, etc. All they really did during that time was either sit on my desk at work or sit on the counter at home (I dont use the iphone at home at all as its a work phone). I traded the S8+ for the Note8, and no longer use the one on my Iphone. I tried to reach out to Spigen and they did not want to help. Very poor customer service. I found that unfortunate as they are great looking cases when you take them out of the box.

I really like OtterBox. I had one for pretty much every phone I owned unless Powerskin made an extended battery case.
I really like the OtterBox Commuter Series Case
Its one of the few available for the Atrix HD.
I had a chance to check it out and it feels nice and you get what you payed for. Although I've been meaning to swing by and buy one, I've just been too lazy or just enjoying the really eye pleasing Atrix HD design. It's almost a shame a case would hide it's good looks. But I think the Otterbox case I mentioned does a really great job of preserving the good looks as well as protecting your phone unlike those cheap 10 dollar china branded ones you find at those shady lil cell phone accessory stores at the mall.
I went with the Incipio feather case as I had it for the og Atrix. It seems to be better made than the other as I went through 4 of these on the og Atrix.
I want the Incipio Feather case because i've read that it was the only case that would fit the docks (with removing the no case tab on the back) made for previous Atrix phones and I have both the desk & car docks. would of loved to of gotten a seidio commuter case if it would fit the docks.
I have been a fan of Otterbox cases since the iPhone 3gs came out, I have had an otterbox on every phone since, I am sure there are probably better cases out there, but otterbox has always been amazing on replacements, and warranty. So I am waiting on the Defender's Series case.

I've got an Otterbox Commuter, but the volume buttons are particularly difficult to press. Anyone else notice this?
Just got the Otterbox Defender series case for my AHD this afternoon. It fits very well and everything but it seems like the touchscreen got MORE sensitive after I put it on. I had no problem using the phone naked, I wonder if I need to take it off and reclean both the phone screen and the inside of the clear plastic cover on the Otterbox.

I've had the otterbox defender for a week. Great protection - it feels like a brick now. However, the screen is way more sensitive as well as the buttons are harder to press. I can deal with the side buttons but I will eventually have to deal with this screen sensitivity issue.

I'm hearing alot of good things about the Otterbox. So that may be a option. Can someone post pics so i can get a idea of the fit and bulk.
For those with the Otterbox Commuter cases, will they fit in the dock without having to remove the case?
TIA!
I went with Incipio SILICRYLIC DualPro. I checked it out first in [email protected] store, then ordered online for half a price.

No, anything that puts any kind of bulk on the top of the case will remove the chance of you being able to dock. I have an incipio feather that doesn't cover the top so it works fine with the desk dock, but i also have a cruzerlite case that does cover the top so it have a very week connection to the desk dock (still possible for night use, just doesn't like it if you move it too much

How bulky is the commuter? It looks nice but i'm worried it's too big to fit in my pocket. Any issues taking in and out of pocket? Any comfort issues in the pocket?

thank you.
I was hoping they would make a case. I currently have a Defender on my iPhone 4. I wish they had come up with another solution for the home button. As it is designed there is a hole in the screen protector which can allow dust to get behind the screen protector.
Instead of the otterbox I think I will be going with a Seidio active case with clip and apply my own screen protector.

Well i am still waiting for the otterbox, I have looked at the Aegis and Seidio lineup and i feel they do have some design flaws, i know it wont matter for a lot of people but for me its a deal breaker, look at the back of Aegis or Seidio, the outer hard shell doesnt have any support at the bottom near the usb charger, so whenever you pull your phone from your pocket the rubber will get misplaced and pulled in different angles, because it doesnt have any support. There are a few videos on youtube complaining about that.
Thats not the case with otterbox, the hard shell pretty much encompasses the whole device.
just my 2 cents.

A lot of people like the Trident cases. I'm especially excited for the Kraken AMS, which has loads of accessories (car mounts, bike clips, etc). Trident seems to develop a wider range of cases for their phones, all of which are cheaper than the lower end otterbox.
The main advantage with Otterbox is the plastic screen cover, which is built into the case. This is a hit-or-miss, depending on the preference. For me, it is a big miss because dust will invariably get in behind the screen (especially if you work construction like me), forcing you to remove the case to clean the phone on nearly a weekly basis. After a while of taking the case on and off, the soft outer shell will lose its tension, and will start to flop off when you don't want it to. This has been a constant design flaw with Otterbox.
The other thing Otterbox has going for it is the full size holster. I use the holster all the time, so this used to be a plus. The problem is that the hard plastic clip is prone to breaking.
I now go with the Trident Kraken and SpiGen protector. I don't use the included belt clip, and instead I use a full pouch which fits the phone case and all. This has worked well for my Nexus, and should work well for the GN2 as well.
It is a matter of preference though. This is only my opinion, and lots of people are quite happy with Otterbox.
When searching for the right case for your smartphone, try to remember, useability over style. It will save you a lot of headache.
I get an Arielle case for the edge and this case has got the protection I needed for my phone. The past case I had was a standard hard black PLASTIC cover. Wasn't worth a darn. It chipped first time I dropped it and has really bad scraps. NOT WITH THIS CASE. The Arielle Galaxy case is quite different. I've already dropped and it held up just fine. The case is part plastic but feels like a rubber has been added. It's softer and flexible. You can bend it back and forth. Also you can twist it some. Phone fits perfect and just snaps in place. All the openings and buttons are correct and push smoothly. Wipes down easy with damp rag.
The color of case is an attractive teal. (I call it teal) it's for sure different than most phone case color choose I've seen. Then it has cut outs on it with the black from inside of case showing through that. It makes it look like leather stitching. Neat design the way it's been done. I do like the case and recommend purchase."

Anyone bought this ? I'm looking forward to buying it soon.
A flip case, pouch case or wallet case protects the screen from ever being cracked. I've owned a smartphone since 2003 and always used one of those 3 and never broke the screen, even before Gorilla Glass.
I bought se original Samsung flip case. One day later I accidentaly droppt the phone from a table -> display broken.
Now I'm using a rubber case.

I think Caseology Wavelength Series Case is the good choice for Samsung S6 Edge
I bought a Ballistic Tough jacket case... still waiting for it to come, but yet on youtube it looks great and does what it should
I think Slim armor is a good case
1 vouch for the spigen thin fit case. Very comfortable to hold, great design, and it also provide protection for ur phone. yet very grippy.. but there is a draw back.. since it grippy. If u put the case on a dusty surface, it will pick up some dust.
I received a case for my S6 edge. When I opened this package I had no idea it was gonna be this phone case (the box is amazingly high quality and very well done). It resembles the packaging of a fancy bracelet/necklace - kudos on the box gus.
This is a very high quality samsung galaxy s6 edge case it fits the phone superbly all the cutouts are done very professionally all the buttons are in the right place.
I especially like the 2 in 1 it adds a bit of quality to the case the metal looks very classy it has the name turata embodied into the metal plate and four bolts in each corner.
Overall I am extremely impressed with this case from turata the quality is excellent it fits brilliantly what else fo you need.

Just received my S7 Edge today, I've actually bought the Tech21 case for it.
However with the lack of decent screen protectors at the minute is there not a case which takes care of this for you?
I've had a look around and found an X-Doria Defense 360 Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Case – Clear , anybody managed to get one or something similar which isn't too bulky?
Thanks
As i thought the Tech21 Evo Frame case edges must be fairly sharp and I can't get the screen protector to stay down especially up near the top. I've tried both the InvisibleShield Original and the Ultimate Shield one (I am in the UK). Has anybody got one to work with this case?
If not has any got any recommendations for cases with a built in screen protector as mentioned above?
Thanks

Right now they are one of the few that actually makes case-friendly screen protectors. They do ship internationally though.
What is the difference between the case friendly and a regular screen protector? They have a few different option on amazon, but don't explain the difference.
By the looks of the post above compared to what I have got it seems to be cut out more at the top and the bottom corners compared to trying to cover the whole screen. The weakest places with my cover on are up near the very top and bottom so this should help it from not lifting when you put the case on but still cover most of the screen.
Both Skinomi and ArmorSuit make "case-friendly" screen protectors for the GS7E.
I've found one...

Tried it at best buy. I have a film on so it had that slick oil thing going. But protects well. So not sure if the screen protector hindered full screen functionality.

Here is a "waterproof" full case with built in screen protector I stumbled upon while searching. It's pre-order. I went ahead and got one to test, will let you know how I like it, but I like the way it looks in the pictures.

it does look cool but its pre order so it not even available
i just bought this one http://tinyurl.com/gkqlckx hope its good as most s7 edge glass protectors are bad even the name brand ones ...
Just received the Ghostek Atomic 2.0 Case. Even though Screen is not glass does not feel that back. No stickiness like plastic films. But for now just had it on for some hours so can't really say for long run yet.
It is a bit wider like a little over 1/4" more than the UAG case. Which adds to black borders on the front as seen on the pictures. So if you already had trouble using it with one hand, this would cause a bit more trouble.
The thickness is about the same as the UAG case when both are facing screen down.
This case advertises Waterproof but has 2 openings for the speaker grill on top and the home button on bottom. I would expect water could get in through those openings. Screen is dot matrix.
The look of the case for me is nice and does not make it look ugly in my perspective. As because the screen guard as they call it make it look like the screen is showing more than some cases that adds front black plastic borders on top and bottom.
The one thing is you might want to use wireless charging more due to having to open up ports more often if using a usb charger.
Here are some pictures I took. Sorry about quality. The best Camera I have is the GS7 edge. lol.

Right now I'm using it with the TANAAB Screen protector.
I'll post more about it. But first reactions seems to be a good case but would depend on how you would see it and if the 1/4" width bigger than a UAG case would be a drawback or not.
It Seems that Ghostek send several out to Mobilefun or Uviyo in batches but haven't shipped through their main site.
Update:
Update about the openings mentioned above. The waterproof works and does not get inside case if there's nothing that raises the area where the openings are. I had the TANAAB TGSP that doesn't go full length of the phone let water in but when removed and tested no water went in. So waiting to test it with a similar TGSP like GPEL2 that fully extends the the phone and see how that works.
When With TANAAB. Sensitivity didn't change and could provide good protection if needed as the outside screen is just a thin plastic film.
Just wanted to point this out.

Just picked one up from Best Buy, case is fine but built-in screen protector is making it difficult for the phone to register touches, I might have to switch it to glove mode or something I might just have to pull the screen protector off

I just swapped out my Note 7 for the s7 edge and purchased the Defender and has crazy problems with the screen registering the touches. I then removed the screen protector now the phone is loose in the case and the bottoms don't align anymore. So I did the OtterBox warranty and when that case comes in I'll get a refund from Sprint for the Defender and go with a different case. Did you remove the screen protector and have the same button issues? Also like the screen was pushing the phone down in the case which aligned the buttons. Really sucks it just doesn't work without the thick crappy built in screen protector.

What's up guys? I'm looking for a new Galaxy Note 8 case and ran into this list. Has anyone tried any of these cases and have any recommendations?

Yup, I've been using an Otterbox Commuter with a Whitestone Dome since I bought the phone. It's been great and has protected my phone from a few drops so far.

Less than the otter I like it, feels strong
Imo if you want a strong case to protect your phone, but not have that "ugly" look to it...
Go for patchworks, it's what I'm using right now I love the design, and it's up to military grade standard
I dropped my phone (by accident) from above my head onto concrete (completely **** myself xD) and no problems
Not sure if the Whitestone dome would fit on it though, if someone knows let me know please

The button protrusions on the inner rubber shell fit like they should. The flaps for the charging port, etc. tuck in nice and evenly into the outer hard case.

I had an Otterbox Commuter on my phone for a few months. I picked up a Patchworks case for a few bucks and have kept it on. It's thinner and feels much better in my hand. I've also dropped my phone more times than I can count and haven't had a single issue with my phone. The few times I dropped my phone with the Commuter my glass screen protector came off.

Which glass was it that came off? My whitestone is still on tight with no lifting after a few drops in the Commuter, but some glass/case combos are definitely compatible than others of course.
I have a Zagg glass protector. I never tried the Whitestone. Zagg upgraded me to the newer Elite Curve and it's been pretty good.
I've gone through a lot of cases, but my favorite has been the Speck Presidio Grip. No other case has as good of grip while still having decent protection and it doesn't add much bulk.
Been using the Spigen Tough Armor on my Note 8 since I got it. The only problem I had was finding tempered glass screen protector for it that had 100% screen adhirsion.
Caseology Legion, looks good and is a bit more rugged, great drop protection (tested by accident )
Best case for me has been the dbrand Grip!! Amazing protection for such a tiny size. Second most used is a UAG Monarch when I am roughing it up at work. Finally the Alcantara Samsung case, just cause I like the feel and look of it

Wish the dbrand grip cases were available for purchase now.....

The Best case I have used is Rhinoshield. It doesn't cover up the whole phone and gives good protection. I have dropped my Phone many times landed on sides and safe.
I actually use the all black version of this one HERE. It's very inexpensive, very strong and really well made. I had the exact same case for my Note 5 and it never got a scratch on it. The case looks even better on the Note 8.
