Camera Information

Hi Guys,
I am woring on an image processing project on the ATT tilt and I needed some vital information on the camera
1) Manufacturer and model
2) Focal Length of camera
and has a fix been found to disable the autofocus as that i causing some problems in the image processing.
Does anybody have any registry tweaks that can be used for the camera to speedup the autofoucs/disable it.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
There was a previous thread showing that you can speed up the frame rate with a simple 3 step process. It does work but it has to be done every time you start the camera up and it removes the cameras ability to autoadjust light settings. Not sure how it effects focus.
1. Start up the camera.
2. Put the phone to sleep (just click power button)
3. Cover the camera lens with your palm or point it towards a dark place ( i have found a SMALL amount of light help)
4. With camera still in the dark, wake the phone back up.
You will notice the camera stutters for a second and then the frame rate jumps up incredibly. You are almost seing real time action (half second delay). The side effect is the lack of focus and light detection. Not sure if this helps you but its cool to try anyway. I would not that it does capture video with increased video and sound sample rates.

my nexus has a little noisy distorted camera

i've searched for this kind of topics on xda but my problem is different!
if you zoom on my cam shoots that i've attached, you'll see some nearly transparent lines of distorted colors which mostly are around purple/orange/light blue colors, what should i do? and also on camcording when lens starts changing it's focus you can hear an annoying noise in the video playback it's like somebody is hitting the phone with his fingers on it's microphone area, please help guys thanx

[Q] Lens vibration/camera display issues

Dear fellow forum users/Z1 owners,
I'm a new user of a Sony Xperia Z1. I've been using my phone for about a week now to take photos, and I've noticed that there is a problem with the camera display. When I move my phone to take a photo of another subject, the display actually lags behind and sometimes freezes for a second before finally catching up with my movements. Do any of you face similar issues?
Another question I'd like to ask, would be the vibration/movement of the lens as it refocuses, especially on macro shots. It makes this small "tick" sound and vibrates while attempting to focus, something which I've not experienced on other cameras. Is this natural or is it a hardware issue that I should get Sony to check?
Thanks for taking your time to read this post, and I look forward to hearing your responses.
Cheers,
Sonynoob
I must say - never heard for that problems.
I don't have that issues, my camera is working great, no vibrations, no lag - full HD recording or shooting picts - all works great.

Just tested the camera in a quiet environment and I must say, it seems to produce the 'tick' sound before every shot...it only gets worse in macro situations.
Same goes for me. I think it is a normal thing while camera struggles to focus.

Had this lag too the other night trying to shoot outdoor. I don't know if it was because too much stuff running in background or if it's the camera, only happened once.

Galaxy A71 Camera Making Noise When Focusing

Hi guys . I notice this weird clicking noise when i focus between objects in wide 64mp camera ( most of the time i have to get closer to hear it ) . it will make more noise when i switch between one object that closer to the lens and another one that let's say 7 - 8 meters away . most of the time when i'm recording , it will not pick up any noise . maybe i'm too picky and pay way more attention to it but i'm asking you guys Do YOU Hear ANY noise when focusing using wide 64mp camera ? or it's quiet . and is it normal ? thanks
( i attached a audio file of the 64mp camera . It's in pro mode when i manually jump from minimum focus to maximum focus )
My A71 5G does the same thing. Not only when focusing but when just using the camera. Like when I open snapchat and open the camera app. Also I can feel something when I'm holding the phone and it does the clicking noise as well. I guess this is normal since the camera seems fully functional.
My A71 does the same thing, but I've only noticed it recently and I have it since a year and a half.

Question Excessive hardware sound when flipping the phone

It's been two days since I started using this phone.
Today, I can hear an excessive sound coming either from the camera lens or the front speaker. {Noise heard better from front side of the phone}
This happens when you try to shake or flip the phone even gently. I know usually the camera lens on every phone makes a little noise.
But this is extreme. It's almost like there's a tiny piece of hardware broken inside and it's moving even if you shake the phone gently. I either did not observe this issue or it wasn't there for the first two days.
Can anyone confirm if it's the same?

Yes, even in mine there is a kind of muffled noise
Hi guys.
It's from the cameras. If you try this with the camera app open you will see that the noise stops.
Optical Image Stabilisation most likely. Camera lens can move to handle shake.
I don't hear anything noticeable from mine. Just a VERY slight muffled noise if I shake it while holding the lenses right up to my ear, but nothing I would notice if I wasn't specifically trying to find a noise.
