Hi,
I am trying to connect to a Raspberry Pi using my android using bluetooth reverse tethering. I am new to this. If anyone can help me understand this, the help would be much appreciated.
I've looked into some Reflection APIs and stuff but I am not really able to understand it.
Anyway,
This is how it is supposed to work.
1. Switch Bluetooth(on and off)/Search/Pair/Connect to Rasbian by bluetooth --- Got it to work
2. Once connected, send a localhost string (using google.com for now) to android. --- Working fine.
3. Access Rasbian internet through reverse bluetooth tethering --- Looked into Reflection APIs (Search BluetoothTetheringFactory), hidden class and what not. This is where I am struggling.
4. Load the webview using Bluetooth tethering --- Not much to do here if I can get step 3.
Any enlightenment on step 3 would be greatly appreciated!
Any and all help regarding this would be much appreciated too.
Thanks!

Apple rolled out Mac OS X 10.4.9 the other day, and without much fanfare at that. While minor updates like this are generally not newsworthy, this one is.
Apple has included support for PAN in the Bluetooth stack. I'm using Faria's 3.3.0 V2, and have been able to successfully use the included Internet Sharing program to share my Edge connection with my MacBook Pro!
This worked for me:
1. Remove the existing pairing with your phone.
2. Enable Internet Sharing using Bluetooth PAN, and the GPRS conneciton
3. Re-pair your phone with the Mac... this time the Mac will see the PAN service!
4. Open System Prefs > Network and you'll be prompted to add a new network device (Bluetooth PAN).
5. In the Bluetooth menu choose "Join network on xxx" where xxx is your device's name.
That should do it.
Hi I just got my Macbook with the Leopard, could you just elaborate on how to use one's EDGE/GPRS with Mac? Thanks in advance.
Hey guys and girls,
I am am about to give up on my search for a working, cisco compatible, VPN client for Windows Mobile 6 on my Kaiser.
After some research I found out that one of the following clients should work with Cisco networks: MovianVPN, BluefireVPN and AnthaVPN.
Got myself a copy of each software, but none works.
MovianVPN v4.01 - most promissing, cause Cisco profiles can be directly importet. but it seems to be only for WinMo2003. Installations works without problems, but afterwards you can't start the client.
BluefireVPN v2.1.1 - installation doesn't even work
AnthaVPN v7.5 - installation without problems, client runs without problems, but: after installation the Kaiser can't establish a w-lan connetion anymore (not at all! even when Antha isn't running) Antha installs an own weird w-lan driver, which seems to mess things up
Please! I am close to madness. There must be someone out there wo knows a way how to connect to Cisco VPN with the Kaiser!
Thanks for any helpfull answer in advance!
regards,

NCP Secure
Hi,
I have used NCP secure to connect to a cisco VPN, here are a few links:
Compatability List: http://english.cyprotect.com/main0182.php(check for kaiser, it's mentioned somewhere)
NCP Secure Link: http://www.ncp.de/en.html
Hope this helps...
AnthaVPN support - nice try... but, ...nope
AnthaVPN support just sent me the following:
>>
Check this option from a forum:
After installing anthaVPN and change the registry entro from "2" -> "1" WIFI works correct.
HKLM\Comm\TNETW12511\Parms\HTCPowermode=1
<<
I looked at the registry, but had to find out that this entry was already set to "1" at my device.
it sounded so promising...
NCP Security Client...
Hey Reaper,
thanks for the advice! Installation of NCP was no problem. Everything seems to work fine afterwards.
But I have some trouble converting my Cisco profiles to NCP. NCP doesn't accept /convert the Cisco profiles (.pcf). I tried to create a new NCP profile with the information I got out of the Cisco ones. This is all the information that was in there:
Host
GroupName
GroupPWD
(after connection Cisco asks me for my personal login name and pwd)
I tried to bring these informations into a NCP profile, but it didn't work. Can you tell me how I must create the NCP profile?
Thanks,
cartonneexpress
By the way, I'm still open for other suggestions! Especially how to get MovianVPN working. Cause I could use the existing .pcf profile with it! Isn't there a coder out there who knows how to get a WinMo2003 programm running on 6.1?
Hi,
I need a software which will help me project Nexus One Screen onto my PC. I used a Java based software Droid(at)Screen for G1. It is not working for nexus One.
Can anyone help plz.
Thanks in Advance
If you have root, then search for droid VNC server on the market.
even without root, it might work for viewing purposes (i.e you likely won't be able to type or click).
Works well with most VNC client / viewer applications - in fact, you could view it through a http link in your browser without a VNC client if java is installed / working ok on your machine.
Thanks Sd00 for the response. Actually, I am new to these devices, so couldnt understand what you had mentioned. (actually its too much of hightech for me). Can you please let me know what I need to install on the phone or check?
Thanks
Install droid vnc server app from the market, run the app, press start button on the app, read the http it shows you on the screen & type it in to the address bar of your internet browse, waa laa.
Hey everyone,
I'd like to connect to a windows server 2008 box in my home network to access networked files (like you would in a LAN), so I don't have to fill my SGS's memory only to realize I only have access to a very small part of my movie/music collection.
I've been looking around for guides on how to do this but I haven't found a very good one yet, so links or small tips on how to do this are always welcome, just like other solutions for my problem.
I also tried openvpn, but it seems I'll need to run some kind of Virtual Appliance with needs a lot of RAM (which my basic server box does not have).
Thx for your help guys,
from what i understand, there isn't much of an official Synergy app for android (talking about the cross-platform input sharing software).. there's an alpha or beta development of it at sourceforge but it doesn't seem to be updated very often.
IMO this is (or will soon become) a no brainier, but i've been looking into temporary solutions to host and share keyboard/mouse from a Windows server to my bionic and webtop. a lot of people claim success with multi-app rigs like VNC server + remote web desktop, tightvnc etc. i've had some success with it, but it's not what i was hoping for.
im fairly certain bluetooth devices can be shared, input devices as well? is there something needed to access this functionality? any input would be greatly appreciated!
