I'm grade from other phone to mi max 2.Using exiting external sdcard already format vfat . When open mi music my m4a not fully loaded . How to deal ? When open file manager all show my songs but not from mi music
Edit: mi has disabled for m4a due to copy right license. So use other music player to play m4a file or convert from ***.m4a to ***.m4a.mp3 or ***.mp3

Hi,
I have a problem, when i try to update my library on media player it finds them all the trys to add them and it just gets stuck half way through?
Any ideas?
Thanks
Jason
delete a hidden file
Sometimes the library gets corrupted. Try this
1. quit media player
2. open file explorer, and check "Show All Files" menu option
3. Locate and delete the folder MSMETADATA from the root (mine is in the root of the Storage Card)
4. Restart media player, and rebuild your library.

Before I did my last ROM Flashing, i'm sure that WindowsMedia was playing my m4a files (with out any convertion), but now it won't. My files was m4r (Iphone ringtones) but i Changed the files extension to m4a. I used these files like a Ringtones in my Xperia.
But now i can't playit any more. If I choose (in resco explorer) open an m4a file with Windows Media, launchs Windows Media but an error appear: Cannot play the files. If I choose open an m4a file with sndplay.exe opens sndplay and the errors windows appear: There is not enought memory to play the recording (of course, it's enough memory)
Please Help me!!!!!

You can't add files to a playlist if the player app doesn't recognize them.
How did you add them, by copying them to the Music folder on your device? I sybc them to the device using Windows Media Player and have zero problems.
i had an issue with my first captivate deleting my music files too.
returned it and havent had an issue since
BUT that first phone was running rogers 2.2 stock. DID you just update to 2.2 stock?
i run custom now only
As the title says, when i try to copy/paste 720p .mkv file to my external card in my phone via USB cable, windows explorer just crashes...all the other types of files are fine to copy paste...i have windows ultimate 7 64bit and my ext card is Samsung 32GB class 10...
At the moment the only way i can copy mkv files to my phone is using samsung Kies, but first i have to add the file to the library then transfer it to extCard and you can not transfer multiple files,i have to manually tick single mkv file, wait for it to transfer then do the same for the next mkv file...this way is rather slow then the simple copy/paste...
The weird thing is that i have this older samsung phone Star S5230 and when i try to copy/paste the same mkv files to the extCard on that phone via USB cable, it moves just fine, no explorer crash at all...i tried the USB debugging mode on the s3mini,didnt help, windows explorer just crashes...
I don't understand why i can copy mkv files via Kies and i can not do that with simple copy/paste onto the extCard...i also use the BS player since the stock video player plays mkv files smoothly but theres no audi(no audio AC3 and DTS support)...

Try AirDroid.
I always have trouble with windows 8 and file transfer... I quit doing it the "normal way".
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dooblou.WiFiFileExplorerPRO <--- this is the way I do it now. Much better! Cost a dollar or something.. but well worth it. Kies and such is just fuc*ing wrong. All my files are transferred with this app.
Just rename it to .bin and it will copy fine, then rename it back to mkv once the copy finishes - it's something to do with the mkv format (possibly the thumbnail generation).
Hello,
my Xperia Z3 Compact doesn't recignize any music files in my internal memory (I don't have a memory card). I found out that as my phone suddenly stop ringing (I had some mp3 file as a ringtone). When I go to settings>sound>ringtone - I choose app I can pick the file through and when I choose walkman or any media player, there are no files to be chosen. When I pick the file via some file manager (I go to music folder and pick my song) I see all my music but when I pick some, nothing change.
When I start walkman I cannot play any of my music files - the app doesn't recognize music folder.
Firmware 4.4.4
Thanks for any help.
Did you try to reboot the phone? Other two steps i would try: 1. to install any other music player. 2 Reinstall phones firmware
