I noticed that my note 8 out of the box didn't have the latest touchwiz update which has the option in home screen settings to swipe down from anywhere on the screen to pull down the notification panel(before you had to pull down from top of the screen only). helps out a lot with with the large screen!I found the link on sam mobile to update the .apk.

On a related topic when I go to Samsung calendar --> Settings, I see I am on version 4.2.00.32 with a blue "UPDATE" button under it.
However when I click on it I get a notification "This app is no longer available for purchase or is not supported in this country" !!
Does anyone else get that? (I am on unlocked version)
On the SamMobile site the latest version is 4.2.11.10

on my device it says 4.2.00.32 is the newest version. try clearing your calendars cache
Cleared Cache and rebooted. Message still there!

Weird, I have a different version from both of you.
This is awesome, I was wondering why they didn't have a swipe down for notifications. This makes more sense then the finger gesture from the finger print scanner.

everytime I try to use a download from apkmirrior.com it will not let me install it. ive been installing the latest .apk updates from sammobile.com with no issues.

But I think I downloaded the apkmirror Snote the other day
I tried installing the TW file from apkmirrior and it would not let me install it. I didn't try anything else from apkmirrior on my note 8. on my s7 edge, I would have to revert back to the march 7.0 update, then install the latest apks in order for me to install them. I read on here that security patches were the culprit. since it didn't work for me my first try on my note 8, I assumed the story was the same. just odd when I download it from sammobile they install without issue on both devices. the latest TW is working perfect on my S7E fully functional

Certain features are available, like the Smart Select (GIF capture) by installing the latest SmartSelect (Note7 version) apk from apkmirror.

Sorry, I haven't tried any other feature apart from that. The GIF capture was the only feature I was interested in.
Translate does not work as of yet but others might. You can backup the current apk and then install new versions of them to update the features.

Thank you! I already install the new apk for gif capture but I dont really gonna use that. So anyway to rollback the note 5 version because I didnt know that I have to backup and now I cant even Uninstall it

No need to uninstall, just keep using the new one, it's much better.
Just spotted on sammobile that the SM-T555 is being updated to 7.1.1. Hopefully the SM-T550 will follow shortly.

This is a nice update. Samsung seem to have toned down TW.

Installed with odin ,rebooted enabled usb debugging,rebooted to download installed the recovery twrp_3.0.2-1_sm-t555_mm_5816.tar and then rebooted to recovery and installed this SR4-SuperSU-v2.82-SR4-20170918204844.zip ,and everything works fine.

The update fixes the stuck in recovery reboot issue.
i didn't had problems at all,works fine,no random reboots at all,works fine even in recovery,i deleted the small bloatware from Samsung,now i want to see how is the battery on nougat

The issue was a reboot to recovery loop using reboot utilities.Fine if you didn't use a utility.

Flashed T555XXU1CQHA - GALAXY Tab A SM-T555 VD2, flashed twrp_3.1.0-1_sm-t555_13317 then xposed for nougat. Working like a charm!

Install TWRP through Odin. And install SuperSU/Magisk via TWRP.
For theming you can try rootless substratum for Samsung devices running nougat.

Yup, I know, I use to use other people's versions. But they weren't updated frequently enough. Hopefully they will see my work and start updating theirs too so people can get more out of oreo.

Yes, that's the best option. But let's say you have installed the pico package and now you want gmail as a system app. You can now dirty flash the micro package which will remove and replace all the installed apps and also install gmail and other apps from the micro package as system apps.

No, they're pretty much always the same, probably hidden somewhere in the pico package so if there was an update it would be installed anyway. The only other apps not available in the playstore would be Google Camera, Pixel Launcher and Pixel Icons (maybe others too).

Sorry, no. But I've checked everywhere and mostly people got "Don't ask for ETA" responses. Some people speculate that when LineageOS 15 gets more stable they will start building oreo opengapps. But those are just rumors.
For me is stuck on end flash when install on oreo nitro in twrp is instalation say complete but progress bar stuck hmm 2mm behind the end and have no option to reboot device onły hardware keys but when i reboot this methods i have no gapps...

I'd say wait a couple of minutes and if that doesn't work reboot into recovery, not system and reflash.
i'm getting stuck on "instalation complete" about 2m too , then TWRP auto reboot.

This happens on some roms, it's probably not the gapps's fault. After flashing remove the sim tray. Finish the setup and insert it again. DON'T insert it when it asks you to or it will force close again.
Since you've already flashed just remove the sim tray and reboot again.

You can access them via QuickShortcutMaker (download from the Play Store)
Love the new recent! But I get a blank white screen when opening good lock as reported bh some users. I'm on a N950U.

I didn't do anything for mine it just worked of course I installed all the aoks. Still good lock just shows a blank screen.

Guys all you have to do is ...
1. download all apks and install them
2. Downlaod and install Nova luancher
3 . In the home screen make a new widget and choose "Activity" then choose the apks that you downloaded
4. Now you have them as seperate apps :fingers-crossed:
Sow post about pixel new camera, it work on our pixel 3a didnt find bug so far. To install it you need to download apkmirror instaler from playstore. The last version 8.1 worked here

Yep got it yesterday but the only thing that has changed was the interface I was expecting the cinematic pas and portait nightsight but non of that came with the 8.1update

Yep, got it too finally, it's like you say it. I dont think we will get all the updates that newer models take, A) because of processing power maybe B) because google must sell more newer phones, so if it gives you everything on the older model, you won't buy a new one so soon.
I wish i had the 2 highlight/shadow sliders, would be very handy...
