I downloaded the ATT firmware from sammobile but its just giving my phone barebones features. I am trying to get the userdata file for att note 8 for the features.
After much searching and testing i found that the CCT firmware under the SM-950U IS THE ATT VERSION even thou it says unknown i have flashed it and it works without any issues that i am aware of.
i don't think so. i would use this website to download any firmware. its reputable and has been used all across the s8 forums.

you put the userdata file in the UMS spot otherwise you will get no where with the features need to open the ini file in a prince comos odin and change the ums to 1 to allow it to be clickable

Thanks for that! I'm waiting on att firmware to finish downloading so I can flash my unlocked note 8.
I noticed I maxed out at 15mbps on att LTE on my unlocked firmware.
Also, what app did you use to disable bloat?

From what i gathered and i have personally went up into the ATT stores and asked multiple employees who have new phones to run speed tests its around 8 mbs down apparently att is seriously throttling their networks in major areas. I didnt use a app you can just hover over the app and disable it. most of them can be uninstalled as well the only apps i couldnt kill or get rid of was device help and att remote support
and it seems to be around prime times when it happens. sadly att isnt what they used to be seing as tmobile is rising and verizon right behind them. to bad tmobile has no coverage where i am or id be using them nor verizon.

Hi again, sorry for all the questions... do you have a guide for that? I d/led PrinceComsy's Odin v3.12 and the CCT firmware.
Unfortunately, there's no USERDATA file in my firmware zip. I'm using the SM-N950U1. Can I use the USERDATA file from SM-N950U on my SM-N950U1?
Yes u can use the U version for the U1 the U is for locked software and U1 is unlocked software that's the difference flashing the locked software won't make ur phone locked either just the software your putting on your phone. I didn't use a guide I got the or in from someone else post

Can confirm this is AT&T firmware.
Will update if I get the carrier features to work as well (VoLTE, Wifi Calling, HD Voice, etc...)

Is the Cricket version ROM better in any way than the AT&T version? Maybe much less bloat? AT&T's crap is just ridiculous.
Does this flash on AT&T version too? I might go to Cricket after a month or two as AT&T is just too expensive.

I don't know if its any better but I can confirm it doesn't have all the ATT bloatware which is a plus.
I just flashed this to an AT&T S6 using odin and it flashed fine and seems to be working great.
Device Status: Official
Update: I can also confirm that I was able to root with pingpong root with this rom

Thanks for the update. I have AOE2 version right now with most bloat removed, but the phone feels it's slower than before. Opening task switcher takes about 1 second to load up. Of course the battery life is better and doesn't heat up as much as the pre-AOE2 version. I didn't try the Cricket ROM, but I may try it in the future.
Doesn't Cricket lack voice over LTE though?
since we have the cricket version , im pretty sure were not getting android M update seeing as s5 and s4 still haven't gotten the lollipop OTAs on cricket. any way around it or maybe we can just flash the international 5.2 version?

Could installing the Cricket bootloader on the AT&T variant unlock it like the Cricket version?
Also: Does anyone know if it is possible to install the AT&T G920A or Cricket G920AZ firmware to an AT&T G925A edge version? Basically, if you don't care to have the edge functionality would it work?

There is an update from 7-15-15. The newest firmware is: G920AZTUU2AOF3

Description: 129.10MB
-Find My Mobile and Reactivation Lock enhancements
-Android OS security enhancements
If I'm not mistaken, isn't the OF3 update, the one that does not have root? And there is currently no way to downgrade after taking it?

I am not sure. I haven't tried it to see. I'm actually running Xtrestolite right now on my G920AZ. I ended up having to flash back to stock at one point and noticed the update.
There is probably a difference between the G920A update and the G920AZ one that I was referring to.
THIS IS FOR SAMSUNG GALAXY J7 METRO PCS VERSION. DO NOT FLASH ON OTHER VARIANTS.
If you have messed up your system while trying to root and need J700T1UVU3AQC3 firmware to recover, or if you just need to upgrade to the latest firmware, here is the official unmodified Rom:
Download link:
https://mega.nz/#!ltcgwYLZ!R0n3FyaDUCtY8yiMrppFpbxNaSHnjiSUZSMQiU_o-kk
1- The firmware is on Mega servers. Please use a PC to download. If you have to use your mobile device to download, use the Mega app or set your browser to "desktop".
2- The firmware files are zipped. They should be unzipped and flashed via Odin.
3- This version upgrades the bootloader version to 3 and therefore downgrading to previous versions becomes impossible. So if you are happy with your current firmware and you think you may change your mind after the upgrade, stay away from this.
3- Rooting this firmware is possible through flashing TWRP via Odin and then superSU via TWRP. As I am sure you are well aware, that process will trip your Knox flag and renders your warranty void.
4- As usual, I share this with you AS IS and I have no responsibility if it breaks your phone. USE IT AT YOUR OWN RISK.

The metro qc3 works nice in the T-Mobile and does not harm it any way, I did mine , no problem
Rooting is a problem with this security 3 since no TWRP is working with this version yet. But there is a eng root boot.img out which does the job, they charge 50 USD for this file.

I have t mobile.i flashed this firmware once with flash fire, and then once with odin.lost my efs both times. I had someone send me the t mobile one and it was fine, I flashed the same twrp and it was like normal. I don't know if someone uploaded a different version of twrp or what, but the ones that have been on xda for the past 8 months do the job fine. I switch between the twrp for the j7, then the j700T specific twrp. I don't run stock, but all the roms I run with this twrp and all 3 kernels I use in development I also root through these recoveries.
@ Droid, what ROM are you running?
My Tmobile j700t qc3 had no issues when using j700t1 qc3 all was good. But twrp not working with qc3. Maybe yours was different firmware. But looking at other Samsung Tmobile and Metro pcs I never had an issue cross flashing them. Maybe you used not compatible firmware when you Lost efs , usually that happens when using lower bit or wrong modem file.

I want to buy the unlocked version to use on Verizon. But I'd like things like NFL Mobile and WiFi calling to work. I think I read a while back that you could flash just the CSC to enable those on the S8 using Odin. I'm assuming it'd also be possible on the Note 8, but has it been done yet? I didn't see any threads on it, I'm guessing it's not something that can be done without dev work on it.

We have been flashing complete or just USERDATA...if you flash csc with Odin only it will setup you device to be XAA, CTT, XAA..you may get functionality enabled but there are no carrier apps included, they are in AP and USERDATA... csc file can't hurt...flash away...although, the update in QI5 looks to be carrier CSC anyway for the unlocked devices...each own carrier respectively...anyways try it out...I was going to try to flash XAA BL, AP with SPR or XAS CP, CSC to see if I could get the unlocked download booster and Spring's version of settings for carrier functions...I have been sidetracked by finding a way to edit the apn settings for a better working tether...going to share a guide tomorrow

Hi Vincom, yes i have already read the article. the main reason im flashing the rom is because of the hidden DATA icon in the toggle screen. and also i want my phone to have the OREO update as well. this is my first samsung phone. i have experience in flashing ROMs in my xiaomi redmi 1s phone. so im a bit skeptical if i can do this on my own. this odin process is very new to me. so what is the worst thing that can happen it i brick my phone? can i do a hard reset and will it default to the stock AT&T ROM if ever?

yes and no, csc controls what bloatware and which settings are setup by default dependant on carrier and country, hence why this is a universal fw and not dependant on original csc files.
if u truly have the att s7edge g935a, which is what i had, then yes.

yup i tried that one the first time. thats when it gave me the error message sha256. then i tried the prince odin that gave me the error mmc something.
The author claims performance and battery improvements but has anyone that switched over really noticed that big of a improvement?
I mean i already disabled all the carrier bloat with adhell isn't that basically the same as installing this rom? Does the universal maybe have a different kernal/different system level tweaks?

will not change your current sim lock status, no fw exists that would change it
Thanks
Thanks a lot, this firmware works for me with the 3b patched odin on the first try.
Before I start, I apologize and I know this shouldn't be in the Q&A Thread but I am a new user and unable to post it in the other thread
So I recently purchased a Galaxy S10 from Best Buy and I noticed I didn't have Advanced Call features such as Wifi-Calling and Video Calling. When I had asked about this, it turns out that I had purchased the unlocked S10 and had them set it up with my provider as Verizon.
I have been reading some posts by iBowToAndroid and I am wondering if I would be able to flash my phone into being locked with Verizon and get the Advanced Calling features without losing anything on my phone currently.
I already have the G973U firmware files from iBowToAndroid's post as well as the Verizon USERDATA file. I also tried setting up Samsung USB Drivers but the install failed. I'm not sure if this is necessary as I am still very new to this whole thing.
If this is possible, what version of Odin should I be downloading?
Is there anything else that I would need?
I'm using v3.13.3 and it's working perfectly fine.

I've always used that same version and the patched one.

I've been trying to use that as well but it fails every time before it is able to download anything.
Not sure if I am doing something wrong but I have all the files necessary for it

I had this happen as well...then got a firmware image (from sammobile) with a later date than the firmware that was on my phone already. Flashing that newer firmware image was successful the first time through. Although in my case I was flashing back from T-Mobile firmware to unlocked firmware, same idea. I think that it might have been related to needing a newer boot version or something, but until I got the later version of unlocked firmware, the flash would fail reliably at abl.elf, before it got rolling.
And the version of Odin that worked for me was the patched Odin3_v3.13.1_3B. Didn't try the unpatched version.
