P7 - problem with local update

Hi all , I have a no root P7 and I have the following problem : the phone tells me this problem :
I tried to flash the original ROM EMUI 3.0 (I downloaded from Huawei website . Then I extracted the zip file and copy the folder "dload" in SD caed) but after a while says "Fail" and the procedure stopped . After several attempts the Rom is installed but I have still yet the same problem . Why ?

When you say from Huawei site, can you please provide the link?

The link of the Rom? I don't understand what has to do with my issue

I downloaded the Rom from Huawei Italia - Download - EMUI (official website) , now I don't have the link .

It depends! Was this issue from the day one when you bought your phone?

Just ignore that notification at phone start ..
It shows only when u restart phone..

Light painting in P8 Lite

Hey,
I've got a question - has somebody port the camera app from Chinese firmware? I have android 6.0 on my P8 lite, but light painting was not included. I've tested this option on P8 and i want to have it on my phone

I guess hypotheticaly you would loose your warranty but you can almost always recover your phone from software issues and only have to send it in for hardware stuff and they most likely wont even realize that youre using chinese software so it doesnt actually matter, but its at your own risk.

Do you know how can we install the chinese firmware on our P8 lite?
I have B565 EU Sim only version but i wouldnt mind installing the chinese version if its going to give me the light painting and call recording functions.

Went through the whole general section but could not find the thread.
I think the reason being, he removed most of the threads hence they are no longer available
I very rarely ask questions and only if i really cannot find the answer. But i think someone has gotten on Sokkoban's nerves. So they are no longer accessible...

I just received the AL10 version and I was curious what can I do for this model number? I am not finding much information in the forums about it.
Mostly, I am just curious if I can install any ROMs on this model and or the Nougat Beta?

I tried Nougat Beta for L09 on my EVA-AL10 and bricked my phone. I used a factory rom and lost important partitions.
I'd advice against it. Maybe you should wait for them to official launch Nougat for AL10.
But you should just keep a full backup of all the partitions. TWRP backup isn't enough.

yep, I got an update to 198 also when I first checked for an update yesterday. Looks like it was basically a security patch.

Did you check HiCare, as it was mentioned previously? Look at Service Menu / Update.

I was just about to update the thread....I had the app disabled..i enabled it and found the rom update....I never knew you could update through the hicare app, thanks

when updated to emui 5 i see that the third-party music player.that i use "deezer" has now only banner player in Lockscreen instead of the usual that i got in the emui 4 which the same as the music app

True this is normal emui 5 looks like they only support a hand full of apps like official music player and google play music

Yeah.. I agree ... seems Emui 5.0 is not supporting right now the fullscreen album art and controls widget..but sounds "neird" (sorry) but if they added on a certain release on 4.1. makes no sense that 5.0 has lost that support... probably they will add again on future...or they could develope a little bit more their own music app download album art... and having a more complete UI ...would be enough I guess to avoid thirty part apps.. no? ;(

Please try this adb command. I've used it on my P8 with EMUI 4.0.1 to enable media controls for BlackPlayer EX and it works. You should replace the package name with the one you want.

Even if you add it, Huawei locked down the lockscreen more in EMUI5. Can't get it to work.
Even spotify won't display music controls, and that's added by default. :/

No notification on the AOD

Hello,
When I was in ROM global 9.6.4 I had the notifications icons of Gmail and Whatsapp on the Always On Display. I switched to the stable ROM 10.0.2.0 and since I have any more no notifications (except sms, messenger) on the AOD.

Worked on Oreo but on Pie roms there are only notifications from official app (MIUI app, message telephone and so on) i hope in a fix from xiaomi.

The problem of the not present notifications on the AOD, does not seem to fascinate and/or to hamper many people while it is very practical all the same

I've just updated my MI 8 to xiaomi.eu 8.10.25 and seems that AOD notifications are working.
I've received some whatsapp notifications and an icon appeared on AOD!
Seems fixed!

Still got the same problem on MIUI 10.1.2.0 Stable. I thought it should be fixed on 8.x?
