Your warranty will be lost with or without Huawei ID

Sure but what Huawei does'nt know..
And you could lock the Bootloader in case of a warranty defect...
As far as I know when you requested the bootloader unlock code - there is no way to return...

Well, requesting the code doesn't mean that you actually applied it. So if you send in your phone with a locked bootloader for repair, you should be fine.

Yea coming from LG G4 and we had to request an unlock.bin from them to flash. Requesting the unlock won't void warranty, I'm guessing it is the same as LG where it will have a "Bootloader Unlocked" message on splash screen once unlock.bin is applied.
To those of you who have unlocked, is this the case, and I have read somewhere you can relock bootloader too. Does this then have a "bootloader relocked" message or anything? Or is it if it is locked you can't tell it was ever unlocked?

Yes, I successfully relocked and do not receive any warnings during boot. I don't know about Huaweis, but Sony Xperias that had been unlocked and relocked have a modified TA partition and can therefore be identified.

Ok would be nice if anyone can confirm that it is possible to relock the bootloader in case of warranty ?
Thanks guys!

Is there anyway too unlock de bootloader now that huawei stop giving the code??

This have nothing to do with Unlocking Bootloader. Unlock Butloader now and you will be fine, with 4.3 the camera was fixed.
but on the info about bootloader unlocking it says not to proceed if bootloader unlock is no in service menu i dont wish to end with a brick

Have you tried unlocking? When this has happened on Xperia T's the devices were still able to be unlocked even though that had changed. There is absolutely no risk in trying to unlock an unlockable bootloader, it will just fail in the process and will still boot no problem.
It has never been reported a NO had turned to YES, but some Yes had been turned to NO, and they were still bale to be unlocked.
And before anyone gets excited this is by no means something that can be used to unlocked bootloaders that are really locked, it is just a false reading of the boot status.

Ok, so it's risky. Is not a big problem even if you don't unlock the bootloader but are you sure was saying yes before? this is wired.
You can flash updates and custom roms anyway. Not custom kernels. Sorry.
ok i am going to try to bootloader unlock it and report back
remote command not allowed i am stuck with a phone that i cannot bootloader unlock hope there will be an s-off solution for xperia

Bootloader Unlock Status

Hi,
I just bought my Z1 today and is ready to root it. This is my first Sony device so Im still getting used to it.
Ive read some guide on unlocking the bootloader. However Im a bit confused as to the the status "Bootloader Unlock Allowed?: Yes"
Does this mean;
1. The device can be unlocked.
2. Or the device is already unlocked.
Please clarify, thank you.

Bootloader Unlock Allowed: Yes <==> You are allowed to unlock your bootloader. Or: your bootloader is unlockable, but it isn't unlocked right now.

Thanks for the clarification.
That means that YOU CAN unlock your bootloader. After you unlock it it will say bootloader status: rooted.

Warranty Question for treble support.

i have an Honor 9 Lite LLD-L22A. I want to unlock bootloader and flash AOSP Treble ROM. Will it void my warranty?
Of course. Unlocking bootloader voids the warranty.
Can you relock the bootloader?
"Relock bootloader" what's that about ?
If you have bad rom and relock bootloader - you can pay 15€ to dc-unlocker for bootloader unlocking.
ONLY if "bootloader unlocked" AND "FRP unlock" you can self-repair your phone !
you go to huawei-page for bootloader-unlock-code : your phone is registered as "bootloader opened" !
and relock bootloader nothing help !
all user must self-question "what will i do with my phone ?"
if the answer "i will modify" then you need bootloader unlock AND your warranty is minimized. NOT zero : minimized.
Flash GSI without TWRP
As mentioned in this post https://www.xda-developers.com/flash-generic-system-image-project-treble-device/. Flash GSI without TWRP will it also void warranty??
You still need to unlock the bootloader to flash ANYTHING. So yes, that way also voids the warranty.

1. No, you will not void warranty
2. When you unlock bootloader you will have message on your screen, after you lock it again, there is no message, everything is like stock.
3. fastboot oem unlock and fastboot flashing unlock_critical those two commands are enough
If you have xiaomi phone with miui, than you need to wait for unlock approval, around 72 hours, maybe less maybe more, it depends... When you have android one device, you do not need to wait, you can unlock your phone instantly.
