rhinoshield crash guard - Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Accessories

Is anyone planning on getting this case? I got one for my OnePlus 3T and did not like it, I've read that they have improved since then though.
Anyone get it for the s8/8+? How was it with that?

I had one for my S8, and I have already pre-ordered one for my Note 8. I've used these since I initially got an S6, I think.
They're the best. I use them when I go hiking, play sports, or go out drinking. They improved them quite a bit for the S8 (in fact, they did a free replacement from v1 to v2 for my S8 case) - they fixed the difficulty of hitting buttons, which was my biggest complaint for the Pixel version I had.
They also recently sent out an email about improving the material for the Note version. It's now something like 40% smaller?
I really hope it's compatible with my Whitestone!

That was my biggest grip about it with my OnePlus was the buttons were impossible to press.
I'm waiting to see if it's compatible with the Whitestone as well before I pull the trigger on both.

Mines came in today.
It feels great in the hand.
It is slimer the the s8plus one i have (had ver1)
Buttons press is very good. My s8plus one was a bit hard at time.
The bottom where the ports are are soft and dont dog into my fingers.
The spen slot is open more on the right. It lets you press the button and then use a right finger to pull it out.
Overall its great and worth the money.
I havent done any drop test, because thats not what i do.

Mine came today to and yes it works with my Power peak product tempered glass screen protector perfect. But I'm not doing a drop test on my $1000 phone

Just received my crash guard. This is a very minimal case. The buttons are tactile. It's very easy to put the case on. There isn't much give on the side when you pull it so it stays on pretty tight. However, The case itself is a bit slippery.
Screen protector I am using is the Spigen neo flex and it is compatible.

Slippery?
Mines and my wife's are fine. I can grab the phone by the edges with light pressure and the phone not slide out.

Case review thread

Hey everyone,
Got my nillkin case:
http://www.nillkin.com/chinese/proshow.asp?mid=2&sid=&tid=&cid=&scid=&id=2739&page=
Pros: There is a fine texture on the back of the case. Really improves your confidence regarding holding it.
The smooth case of of stock Note kinda makes you feel like it might slip right out.
Holes are cut pretty well. I kinda wish it was little bit thicker to protect the camera more.
Cons: It's too thin. Meaning it doesn't really fit all that well with the cover on.
However, if you remove the back cover it's pretty good actually. You lose your NFC antenna if you do this though.
The top and bottom are basically exposed.
This is, one one hand, annoying, and on the other hand - At least I don't have to worry about headphone port blockage, or worse - making the USB port even more annoying than it is now.
I haven't tried the included screen protector yet.

The screen protector isn't staying on very well.
What about simple protection? Is it that bad as u said cos its thin and it doesn't fit well? Or still one can assume it's safe (i rarely drop my phones)..

Very dissapointed Spigen isn't making a glas.t for Note 2

I just installed the Spigen Oleo plastic protector, and while it's a good as such go, it's no glas.t. I had the Glas.t on my Note 1 and loved it.
With the Oleo (and I'm sure other covers would be the same) the pen moves very roughly, not at all what you'd want if you are taking notes and want accuracy.
Very disappointed. I'm sure the reason is the complaints about edges not sticking and such... but if they'd simply include 2 in every package, like with the plastics, there's be less of an issue with returns. I loved mine, no issues with edges.
If any of you feel the same please make your voices heard with Spigen so that they might reconsider and produce the cover.
Any we needed another thread for this?

Now i did read this thread but i dont remember if anyone asked. Isnt the Galaxy S3 screen curved like the Note 2? I asked Spigen if they were making the screen protector and they said the curved screen is why they are not making it.

Yes the s3 has a curved screen. I believe they had problems with the s3 glass screen protector thats why they chose not to make one for the note 2.
Sent from my Galaxy Note 2
After using the Spigen Oleophobic screen I'm a lot less concerned about the lack of the glas.t. The spen slides over this protector like glass as it is, so no real need for the glas.t after all. Happily surprised.
they did it!!

i remember they did release glas.t for note 2, but they all had some weird sensitivity problem. thus they have decided to not make anymore for the note 2. but i could be wrong. or i remembered it wrongly, and the sensitivity issues were for the s3.

I already ordered the one i posted, The price is 1/2 that of the link. I also emailed the person from the link if this is a all clear version without colour boarders, the item is for pre-order, so it's not finalised yet.
my photos are the actual stock, so it seems like it will not affect the sensors.

I'm really annoyed cause I've had this on pre order for over a month, then the day after I get confirmation that it's shipped, I find a massive chip in the finish on the top front of the tablet,
I'd have paid good money for an official case on day one and this happens just really pushes my buttons.

The link I posted has several pics...as for a mini review: it just as advertised, nothing special but well worth the price Amazon is asking. Actually I got mine for $9.99 by ordering almost a month ago.
It only has one viewing angle supported by the flap but it works perfectly for my needs. It is very thin, barely adds any additional thicknesses/weight to the tab.
If you only use it around the house it is perfect. I would not recommend for heavy use outside the house. I don't think it would hold up well to being thrown in a bag, briefcase, etc...

Best case i ever had.......

Got mine a few days ago and I like it. It is a snug fit but I plan on keeping it in the case. I think the viewing angle when propped up is fine but would be nice if you could prop it up at a couple different angles. Came with a small scratch on the back but not worth returning it. I notice other folks had posted about little scratches as well so maybe Poetic should check them more closely before shipping. Anyway, for the money it's definitely a great case! I'll be keeping mine.

Perfect fit
Had it for a over a week. Exactly what we needed. I could see using a sleeve for travel but this is perfect for around the house & in the car.
The Nexus 10 is my first tablet so I really appreciate the auto screen control with the cover.
If you want a small cover/case, this is it.

Cheers for the review. I ordered the black-grey version of this case from MobileFun on the 5th April. So far it not been in stock but I did get a email from them on Thursday saying they should hopefully have in stock the following day but it looks like that didn't happen so I'm still waiting for it. I could change the order to the white-black version but that one is a bit too bright for me.
I'm not that bothered that the black version might show scratches more easily as I would rather the case scratched & not the phone itself.

It is fairly difficult to get hold of the case in the UK I would have preferred the black and grey version too but because of the difficulty of getting it and the scratching issue I ended up getting the white version. I am waiting for mobile fun to get the clear version
This is the case I have for my S6 Edge, and it is the only one I've had on it since leaving the store on the release-date for the phone - a year ago tomorrow. In that year I've been very pleased with the look, feel and protection. I'm probably going to get this exact same case tomorrow, when I pick up my S7 Edge.
Like your review mentions, my black one does have some fine scratches on the back. Unless I'm looking at it in just the right light, they're not visible. I may take your suggestion and get the white one this time as I rather like the appearance.

I would stay far away from the clear version. I had it when I first received my phone back in February and it was horrible. The case looks nice, but that's when the fun stops; the buttons don't even move (I'm not exaggerating because they're that bad). I've seen someone break theirs taking if off their phone not to mention how overly tight the clear versions are.
Will the case make the phone bulky? How does it compare to Spigen Neo Hybrid in terms of bulkiness?

Bulkier than the Neo Hybrid, you can see the dimensions of it in my OP (see my signature), but it's still an excellent case despite being a little bigger overall

It's a great case, seems like it'll provide solid protection. My only complaint is that the lip is not raised much above the screen. So if the phone falls screen-first, it will shatter for sure

Hey, I have the same case for poco and redmi note 5 pro, noticed that the case on note 5 pro is smooth on the sides whereas the poco case has a bit of raised edge on all sides, where back n front come together.
Could you please confirm if your case has the same design style/issue?
The case is actually amazing. Been using it for a few days. I'm disappointed with the small bump to protect the front. One thing I absolutely love about the case is that the phone feels more comfortable in hands. People have complained that it feels more bulky (that's how it should be), but for me the handling seems better this way and yes, I do use my phone with one hand for most of the time.

Hey, similar opinions about the case, no issues with one handed operation too, except thr different styles of construction that I observed between this and other Kapaver case for note 5 pro.
Could you please share some pictures of the case's sides?
