Try to plug it on different TV or Monitor, It happened to me, I plugged it on my 4k TV, but when I switched it to my 720p TV, I got the same screen with unsupported mode. To fixed it, I had to plug it back on my 4k Tv, change the Screen Resolution to work on my 720p tv.

[Q] Tv Out - Darkys Rom

Hello,
I am using latest Darky's Rom. on my i9000
My question is :
How can i turn off my phone screen while playing movie on Tv-out?
When i connect to tv, movie playing on both Tv screen and on my phone screen. I would like to turn off the phone screen while keep playing on the tv screen to save phone battery.
Thanks.
If the screen power button doesnt work (you can turn off your screen with it)
Try to download some app, I've seen it somewhere. Also check your phone settings
But the problem is when i turn off my phone screen with power button, on the TV also turning off...
bump bump and a bump
I use ScreenFilter to dim the display to almost complete darkness.
Incidentally, when you use TV-Out - do you get a crisp clear image on the TV?
When I do it, the picture is like.. flashing a black color, like you'd expect to see on an old CRT-screen, you know? Also the colors melt into eachother.. Although this was a 40" HD TV, and the movie I wanted to play was is pretty low resolution.
I'll try with a Blu-Ray rip some day.
turn the phone over so you cant see the screen,, then charge it up if your battery drains works like magic

[Q][CM7][HDMI] LCD TV blackout when phone in landscape mode

Hi all,
I tried to connect my O2X to LCD TV (full HD capable) through HDMI port. Working normally, except when I change my phone to landscape mode the LCD TV suddenly blacked out. Back to normal again if switched to portrait mode.
And I don't think my TV displayed on 1080p mode, too low in resolution.
Anyone got this? I use CM-7.1.0-Optimus2X
Thanks
Case closed
Case closed, I moved to Gueste2X "GoodBye" ROM.
Thanks.

Just Audio Working, No Video

A few days ago the CC was working as expected. Now I can no longer display video, just audio.
Appreciate any help
I'm not sure if this is your issue but I had the same issue. Turning off the TV and turning back on fixed it. https://support.google.com/chromecast/answer/3228183?hl=en
If you saw your Chromecast's loading screen ("Chromecast" with a spinning Chrome logo) but the home screen is black, you could be experiencing an HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection) with your TV. This issue is easily fixed by rebooting your TV. Turn your TV off, unplug it, turn everything back on and try again.

Chromecast flashing screen

So this is my problem, every time I switch from the chromecast to another HDMI port and then I go back to chromecast it takes like a minute to show after all the display flashing https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V9GYcIZz7gQ&feature=youtube_gdata_player

I had a similar issue with my chromecast, and for me it turned out that my little HDMI cable extender thing it came with was broken. When I connected my chromecast without it, the display feedback went away.
I'm not using the extender, but if I power the chromecast off and on it will show instantly.

It could be that your TV is just having trouble with the HDCP negotiations needed to get the HDMI connection working. My DVD player always takes 10+ seconds to register with my TV over HDMI.
But a faulty cable could be part of it too - a bad HDMI cable may sabotage the HDCP negotiations, resulting in multiple failed attempts.
I've had this issue a couple of times. Turned on Chromcast and it booted ok. The TV shows the wallpaper and then turns to snow, back to the wallpaper then snow again in about the same rate as your video.
Rebooting the chromecast fixes it. While annoying it only happens once every 20+ boots for me.
I use the little HDMI extender, but I don't replug it, just reboot the device itself to get rid of it.

Snow is a symptom of failure of the HDCP decryption - the devices will need to renegotiate the handshake. Rebooting either/both devices should fix it, as will unplug/re-plugging the HDMI connection.
If your Chromecast and TV are both on wall power (ie, Chromecast doesn't get powered down) it should stay synced.
For me it started happening when I switch the image Zoom options to Automatic.

[Q] Screen On or Off when HDMI Mirroring?

I'm planning to buy a AppRadio 3 headunit for my Jeep, and use the ARLiberator app to unlock it so it mirrors my Z1 on the in-dash screen (I'll provide a link to a YouTube video below for clarification). It mirrors it using an HDMI cable into the back of the headunit (full size HDMI).
This Sony HDMI Cable is what I plan to buy, and do what was stated above, however I've seen mixed reviews on something. The Phone is cradled directly beside the headunit. Does HDMI Mirroring (the basic function, not the ARLibereator app) keep the screen on at all times? Or if I hit the power button on my phone, will it keep mirroring to the "TV"?
The ARLiberator app downscales everything, and transfers touchscreen actions and what not via Bluetooth, and then uses the HDMI Mirroring to show me the screen, as well as charge the phone.
AppRadio 2 Demo (AppRadio 3 released after, more features, etc.)
@Wiltron That's a cool idea man.
From my experience if you turn the screen off than you will see a black screen on your receiving device.
Note that this is my experience with miracast but I'm sure that hdmi will work the same way.
Hi,
With my experience with Nexus 10 and Xoom HDMI, the screen will be on until the screen timeout reaches, if you turn off the screen, HDMI will be black too. But there are some apps that can turn the screen black, but still on, like Screen Standby . That's a good idea man.
