Disable Stock Lockscreen MIUI 9 / Use 3rd Party Lockscreen - Xiaomi Mi MIX Questions & Answers

Anyone know how to disable the Stock Lockscreen so that a 3rd party can be used without having to go through 2 screens? I found an option under Developer Options to disable lockscreen however this also disables 3rd party apps from running.

I think that if you enter "installed apps" and then press the "default" button with the settings icon you can change there the default apps of the launcher, lockscreen, dialer and more.

Thanks, although there is no setting for lockscreen there. In the Screen Lock section if you change "Skip swipe screen" to off then you can add a 3rd party lockscreen and then use system unlock method after that.

lock

Hey guys i installed a lock widget and some times my OEm lock comes back and once i unlock it the new one pops up..so i need to like unlock twice?lol
and sometimes my top notification bar gets buggy..it does not drop all the way down..need to reboot for it to work...
yeah most third party lockscreens don't work very well as they can't bypass the system lockscreen. the only one that works really well is WidgetLocker or a combination of a third party lockscreen and NoLock (which doesn't always work.)
WidgetLock can use a special root permission (you of course need to be rooted) to disable the system lockscreen, for me it has always worked well.
thats the one that i use...

The stock lock screen comes back sporadically with widget locker anyways. But it doesn't happen that often and it's no big deal to me

[Q] Create shortcut to a 'System Settings' element

I use System Settings » Security » Privacy Guard quite often (cynaogenmod 11). So I would like to add a shortcut to that on my home screen. How do I do that?
(I would appreciate if there is a way to do this without a 3rd party app)
Download Launcher 3 from KitKat (CM11) ROM....this stock launcher has this as an inbuilt feature....
now i am on cyanogenmod 11. how do i add the Privacy Guard shortcut to my home screen?
not possible? is there at least an xposed module for this?
I Know this is old but it can be done know with app called quickshortcutmaker. Install through google play store, open and search for privacy. This will bring up a few setting process that can be created as shortcuts. You can also try the shortcut before creating so you know it will work. The correct process to create the shortcut is call $AppOpsSummaryActivity

Disable At a glance on the new Android Pie Launcher

Any way to disable At a glance on the new android Pie launcher without changing the launcher? I prefer chronus.......
Yeah, long-press on an empty spot on the homescreen and go to options - its in there.
Did you verified what you are saying?
There is no option to disable it at all. Just to manage what is displayed.

Applock Feature?

I have one simple question.
Is this app lock feature tied to asus launcher or system???
What happens if i use third party launcher?? Do i loose applock feature if i use third party auncher and reset asus launcher and disable it??
Thinking of purchasing nova launcher. so asking.
Help will be appreciated.
Lil Workaround required
Yes, there is an app lock feature. If you are using a third party launcher it seems the feature can't be accessed directly BUT it can still be used. If you quickly switch to your Asus launcher in settings you then long press on the home screen, hit "preferences" in the bottom corner then "AppLock" you can then lock apps. Once that is done simply go back to your desired launcher and the selected apps will require a password/finger print to access.
Kinda silly it can't be accessed via the 3rd party launcher but considering how little I need to go in and lock new apps, its not a terrible work around. Nova launcher is worth it.

android 10 - gesture

Hi, I updated my note 9 to android 10. When I go to settings/display/navigation bar/screen gestures there is option over the "more options". I can't use this feature. I can't open it. Does anyone have the some issue?
What launcher are you using? Unless it is Samsung own it will not be enabled. Until Google resolves it
Using the default OneUI 2
If u are using samsung default one ui launcher, you should able to use this gesture navigation... unless you use 3rd party launcher.
Maybe Try selecting "navigation buttons" and see if the other options under gestures become available?
