Yeah, you've got a problem there. You'll want to contact CFW and return it.

i did flash it with Three firmware to enable the Volte/voip settings as it came on EE .. could that make it lose it ?

You can boot into recovery with bixby + vol up + power. And then inside recovery it should say something like:
Reboot to system
Reboot to bootloader
Update from zip
Update from adb sideload
Wipe Cache <-- choose this one.
Factory reset
Mount system
Graphic test
Recovery log
Etc.
But I'd recommend a firmware recovery with Smart Switch. Or a full reflash with Odin. You just have to use all files inside Odin and choose CSC instead of HOME_CSC. This way Your phone will be fully wiped etc. Backup Your data before cause You will lose all Your data. Including internal storage files.
Also, using Odin sometimes can trip Your knox for no reason. So be careful. Try Smart Switch first .

No, it can't.
@magyosha
Someone else had this issue with an S8, it was only showing 16 gigs of internal storage on a 64GB unit, a factory reset fixed it and it went back to normal.
You could try doing a factory reset in recovery, if that doesn't work, flash the newest available stock ROM using Odin, and use the CSC_OXM file, not HOME_CSC since that won't wipe your phone.
after flashing your partitions may be messed up. whatever you flashed may created a separate partition to run on.
The problem actually exists. However, the fix is relatively easy. Most times it is caused by a CFW as the geeks here have rightly said. Inthe rarest of situations, it occurs due to a buggy back up from an older phone via the smart switch. To solve this, you really need to hard reset your phone through the recovery menu. This article explains it in the simplest form. https://www.lemmymorgan.com/solve-note-8-32gb-storage-problem/

The problem is that once I boot in recovery it never gets passed that no command error screen. and once it gets at that point there is no coming back.
Phone never starts again and I have to flash firmware again(without CSC , or it fails to even start).

hey folks,
today, i changed the sim card of my galaxy to see if my new contract already has service. it did. but that is not the story. i changed the sim card back an booted the phone. unfortunately, i wrongfully plugged the sim in so that i had to turn it around. unpatiently, i removed the battery while android was already booted but the widgets and stuff weren't loaded yet. then turned the sim card, plugged the battery back in and now the phone doesn't start anymore. first i'm seeing the galaxy s gt-i9000logo. after that follows galaxy s and underneath cyanogenmod in letters. but the fancy animation of cyanogen doesn't start.
i am able to get into download mode but not into recovery (cwm). i'm on cyanogen mod 9 build 17 of teamhacksung (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1363593).
any clues what happend to my phone and how to make it work like a charm again?
thanks!
First try cleaning cache and dalvik from recovery and boot else clear cache/dalvik and then re-install rom again.
how can i clean the cash and dalvik if i can't get to cwm?
If you have titanium back installed then there is an option to clear it from its menu.
well, i have titanium backup installed on my phone but how can i access it?? maybe you could give me a short guide?
I've had this a couple times, try holding down 3 button combo while you are charging the phone. If you manage to get into recovery i highly doubt clearing cache etc will help. If you're able to get into cwm you'll prob have to reflash rom otherwise use Odin :/..

Oh sorry i thought you are able to switch on the phone.
Flash a GingerBread firmware which has 3 different files PDA, MODEM and CSC. If you don't have a FW with 3 files, download this http://androidadvices.com/valuepack-update-samsung-galaxy-face-unlock-i9000-xxjvu-236/3/ I used the Odin v 1.85.

Galaxy note what an update, and now won't even start. Help please!
My Samsung note was updated from gingerbread to ice cream sandwich using Samsung Kies. Then rooted and put on the Franco kernel. That's when the problems started: lag city! It couldn't even play fruit ninja or noogra nuts. Everything was slow. subsequent updates wouldn't work. Every few hours it would remind me, and I would click dismiss.
I've also been using an aftermarket battery. When the battery would get low, screen would activate all pixels and go very bright. At this point I would have to hold down the power button. Anyway, the last time I did this was the last time the phone was on. When I try to start the phone it gets to the Samsung bit after the opening flash intro, and the Samsung just glows and blinks. I've tried many times but it doesn't work. If left in the state, it gets very hot and will Drain the battery very quickly.
I am able to get to the clockwork mod recovery. What shall I do from here? I see there's an option to backup, but how would I restore from and what all my data be there? I have some really important data on the phone that I'm hoping to recover. In fact some of that data is worth several hundred dollars, because it's my proof for my friend who was defrauded by a ticketing agent.
Your help would be really appreciated everyone!
From what I can tell, you haven't wiped so it shouldn't be a emmc brick.
You said you could get to CWM recovery so from there you should first mount your phone to your pc and back up anything important like that "several hundred dollar" info.
Y'know. Just to be safe.
Then download a safe kernel such as Hydracore or Philz and put it on your phone.
Flash it, reboot recovery, then do all 3 wipes and see if that solves your problem.

Thanks again for the reply. When I do that and plug it in, the computer installs the device driver software correctly. However, I can't find the device either in "my computer" or in the device management/hard disk management console. I've tried this on two computers with the same result. The option to eject is in the tray icon (similar to other removable storage), but that's the only place it seems to be visible.
Flash a Philz kernel from franco recovery. Reboob recovery to get into Philz. Then mounts and storage /mount USB. PC will pick up both int & ext sd cards:thumbup:

Try hydracore 5.4 then. http://hecubus.com/xda/kernel/HydraCore/GL_HYDRACORE_v5-4_STD.zip
If you are unable to connect your phone to PC,
remove your sd card,
put it in a card reader or another phone that is alive
put the above downloaded kernel.zip on the sd card.
Now reinsert the sd card in your dead phone and
flash the kernel from the recovery.

The good news is the pics are there there, but the data is gone. Do you all recon there is someway else to get the data. If the pics are there maybe the data still can be recovered?
Also, do you think it is dangerous to use whatever the local place flashed on to it? There are a few Chinese apps on it. System says it Systemis hardcore 5 and android 4.0.3

Hey guys!
To keep it brief:
Device: Samsung Galaxy S GT-I9000
Problem: At startup, the boot logo shows up but nothing else happens.
Possible cause: Flashing "cm-10.1.3-galaxysmtd.zip" using CWM Recovery
Debugging results:
No access to recovery mode.
No access to download mode.
No access through ADB.
No access through Heimdall (heimdall detect -> ERROR: Failed to detect compatible download-mode device.).
No access through Odin.
No different reaction after taking out battery for some time.
No effect of taking out SIM.
Outlook:
Debugging mode should still be turned on (Could help if the connection with the ADB worked).
Search for driver issues (Unlikely, because tried under Linux & Windows).
I hope you have some ideas left for me 'cause I'm at my wit's end.
Many thanks!

use jig to make your phone able to go to download mode.
Search for "Homemade USB Jig" in Google and make a jig using resisters. USB jig assure 100% success if there is not any hardware problem
Yes, jig- or you can buy one on ebay for ca 2€.
BTW, are you sure you have the i9000 and not one of sub-models? Did you check your imei no? If you've flashed i9000 on one of its variants, it is bricked, only service can revive it then. I suspect this, did you flash with succes any i9000 rom before this?
Another question: did you wipe 3x before flashing CM zip file?

IMEI check returns "Model: I9000 Galaxy S" (Sorry, but I'm not allowed to post outside links). I don't think it is a very special version although there might be differences to the american products.
You mean wipe data or wipe dalvik cache? No, I didn't. In fact, I just backed up the whole system using CWM and after that I flashed the ZIP from the internal SD-card.
It might be worth mentioning that this was my first "real" flash since I only rootet it a few months ago.

The point is, that flashing a ROM made for i9000 would cause bricking of any other device. There are about 20 sub-models of i9000 and they all look the same. Therefore it is good if you've checked your IMEI no.
It might be, that your i9000 is in bootloop because you haven't wiped. It is required to do so before flashing CyanogenMod: wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache and wipe dalvik cache.
Try this trick: remove your battery, keep the power button constantly pressed for 1min. Then while battery is still removed keep 3-buttons-combo pressed (power+home+volume down) and insert the battery while all buttons pressed (acrobacy or using mouth needed), maybe you can reach the download mode then?

Pity it didin't work. I really hope it will work when you get your USB jig. It would be good if you quote my text and let know about the news.
If the jig inforces download mode on your phone, keep in mind that flashing a stock ROM should start quite soon, as the i9000 after some 30sec in download mode "gets sleepy" and often won't react if you're waiting long before the flashing starts. Then turn it off, prepare Odin and turn it on just short before you start to flash the ROM.
Once you retail download mode again, just follow my unbricking instructions in this topic:

Hey everyone,
So this started after I used Ultra Stamina Mode to conserve power, but after I turned it off my phone went into some weird state that looks like ultra stamina mode but I can use internet/wifi, 10% of my apps are (facebook, whatsapp etc) are usable. Its very frustrating...not sure what to do, i've tried restarting and all the obvious stuff. I used USM before (Nov last year) and it worked fine, so I have no idea why it would play up like it has.
If anyone has had this and/or knows how to fix it please enlighten me.
Thank you!

Umm I've never had this before.... Is your bootloader locked, or unlocked? Try to install a recovery and wipe your cache and dalvik cache (even if your bootloader is locked you can install a recovery). If this doesn't work you could try to reflash your firmware, though I hope this won't be necessary.

And I guess reflashing firmware is a factory reset i imagine? Can I do any of this without losing my data and app data?
Also I just dialed *#*#7378423#*#* and noticed I can reset customization under 'customization settings'. Will this help? It won't wipe any of my data will it?

Oh don't worry, your phone needs to be rooted to get a working recovery. If you don't feel familiar with it you don't need to do it.
Yeah, reflashing your firmware basically means a factory reset. You can do it with Sony PC Companion (or it's succesor). This does mean that you will loose your apps and data, so you should back it up before doing so.
I highly doubt changig your customization will do anything.

Well done! Here are the important threads for the recovery. First the q&a, then the development thread. Please read the q&a before trying to flash the recovery. You have to download the one for your c660x. (EG c6603 if it's the international version. You can find it on the bottom side of the phone)

Well done! Here are the important threads for the recovery. First the q&a, then the development thread. Please read the q&a before trying to flash the recovery. You have to download the one for your c660x. (EG c6603 if it's the international version. You can find it on the bottom side of the phone)

Alright, so i've installed XZDualRecovery and ran the first option (SuperSU) and made a backup on my SD card. Is this the recovery step? Did I do it right lol? I feel rather lost as there isn't a step-by-step guide to this...
And for later, how do I wipe the cache and dalvik cache? (Again apologies for my amateurishness)
Also I did root the phone with Kingo Root...hopefully it won't be an issue

Well I ticked cache and delvik cache and wiped. Now when I try to turn on the phone nothing happens, it vibrates when I try to turn it on but the screen is black

Umm, that's unusual and weird...., it never happened to me.... Does the LED still light up? If so you could try to get into the recovery by holding volume up. If not I fear you have to use Sony PC Companion and select software repair.

The LED is mostly dead. It flashes red and green very quickly just once when I plug it into my PC via USB, and it slowly flashes red when its charging in the wall socket. I tried a whole bunch of power + vol up or vol down buttons to get a response but the screen remains unresponsive. As for using Sony PC Companion I cannot, in this state the phone isn't being read or recognised by the pc, its like nothing is plugged in...

Is PC companion properly installed? Power off the phone and select software repair in pc companion, then follow instructions. Don't connect your phone to the ocean unless pc companion tells you to. It will guide you through the process

Yeah its installed properly. I have no idea if the phone is on or off because the screen doesnt turn on for anything. I found a guide about how to repair a phone with the Sony PC Companion and it said that the battery should be at least80% so I am charging it now just in case

Cheers man, that worked. Back to factory settings. Now I just have to get all the stuff I had back onto it lol.
Is the backup I made with TWRP good for this?
Or not, because the backup was made while I had that Ultra Stamina Mode glitch? Maybe I could delete a file in the backup which has those settings stored on it?

It's pretty much useless as your problems will be restored, too

Decided to give it a try again...restored the backup, and tried wiping the cache and delvik again. The phone didn't brick this time but nothing changed either...
Hi all,
My MIL has an s20 FE 5G. it was apparently downloading an update last month when it just froze. It goes into a bootloop, and i've tried factory reset, flashing new firmware via ODIN, and anything else i can think of(i'm no tech genius, but i can follow instructions pretty well). It will only ever bootloop a couple times, then go blank until i restart it in either bootloader, recovery or download mode. She has another phone, but is this one now just a brick, or is there something else i can do?
attached are some pictures that show basically everything i can see.
thanks
you say it froze when downloading but that shouldn't be an issue, it's once it's started flashing that update you don't want it freezing.
you didn't say what happens when you tried flashing with Odin. obviously it failed but that could be because you were flashing the wrong fw or fw that's too old now. it should say something in the Odin onscreen log for why it failed.

Hi,
I'll send a picture later when I get a chance, but it's apparently flashing just fine..I get no error messages from Odin. It states success, but then the phone just continues with the bootloop when I restart

Hi again,
just tried again. no luck.
you don't need to flash userdata just BL, AP, CP and CSC. if it's still looping it could be a hardware failure of some kind, time to use that warranty.

Hello again
tried again, no luck. might be time to give up. i had read a few places that using the actual samsung cord could make a difference. is this true, even though its flashing just fine?

if it's saying PASS there's nothing more that needs to happen normally.
take it to get looked at, that's why we have warranties.
