I built this ROM as a test for those who have locked bootloaders on the Tab S and can't get root.
In my experience Samsung bootloader locked devices will not allow a custom kernel or recovery to be installed. However it is possible that the bootloader will allow a modified rom to be installed.
The rom is bone stock Lollipop 5.0.2 except it is pre-rooted with SuperSU 2.49. It needs to be installed via ODIN. If ODIN allows it to flash then its highly likely it will boot just fine.
If there are any issues that arise then all that is required is to flash the stock firmware, available here: http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SM-T707V/
T707VVRS1BOK1_preroot_system.img.tar
If anyone gives this a shot, please report with details.

If it works for the T707v then I'll do the same for the other Bootloader locked devices. It all depends on whether ODIN will flash it or not.
The reason I have used the T707v is because this device at least has the stock firmware available, so it should be relatively safe to try this.
Not many wanting a rooted t707v then.

It seems the US LTE variants were not very popular, T807T does not have a lot of use either.

Seems so, would have done it for the att and other Verizon model if it worked. Wouldn't want to test it out on an att model first with no stock firmware available.
@deadman96385
Anyway I could do to pick your brains about something.
Am I right in thinking you have a Tab A?

I don't believe Odin allows modified system images to flash on bootloader-locked devices.
I tried on my Verizon S5, it shouldn't work, but let's see anyways
I have one and I'll try it but I'm out of town for work right now won't be home to try it until the 24th. Would be awesome if it works.

It does, it depends on the device's bootloader.
Plenty have been rooted or modified this way.

Exactly why I said let's see anyways
It's just that the S5 and Tab S are so similar in so many ways and were release at the same time on VZW, that I thought they'd have the same locks.

What do you mean you ran it and did nothing at all? It doesn't unlock the bootloader.
Its the stock OS already rooted.
Did it install successfully with ODIN?
What is the state of root when checked with Root validator?
We need screenshots if possible please.

Exactly, if he'd have only took the time to at least let us know if it installed OK with odin. It seems like it did which means that he should also have had root.
Not sure what he was expecting to see?
I will fork it out, wish I did some research before buying an Att phone, even when it was listed unlocked. I have rooted every galaxy s 1,2,3,4 before this one, but this one Is a muther. I don't have time to painfully go through the research of bypassing this new baderass knox.

Ohhhh I didn't look at the baseband version.. Yeah it will brick your device. At this point you should take what I say with a grain of salt when I say you can't root lollipop and you should have better luck sticking to lollipop and waiting for someone to find a vulnerability in marshmallow.
Looks like that rooting is gonna have to wait a bit longer
Speaking of... Long shot here, but has anyone started looking for a vulnerability to exploit?

Doesn't apply to this situation.
From first link:
"(Caution! Do not flash if you have taken the OC4, OF2, or OF3 ota updates) and root with TowelRoot, before continuing with the above process."
TowelRoot doesn't work here.
Second link:

So no.

My TWRP was installed and used through MI9 (when first purchased stock). Once it updated I lost bootloader.
The phone was able to run TWRP with an unlocked bootloader and I believe this was always the case. Once the bootloader got updated and locked, safestrap was the only recovery available for use.

I didn't quite understand that last part. So did it not boot at all? Or did it boot but get stuck at setup?
Update soon. New approach so it shouldn't have a bootloop issue
So, couple months ago AT&T released an update (in January 2020) which I saw a significantly improved battery life by 25% I was planing to disable my updates for future updates because I really liked it! However, 2 weeks later one day i wake up and my phone forced a new update and the battery life got back to the same even worse that what it used to be before that first update! Now, I am looking to downgrade my update to (N950USQU7DTA3) to be specific. I cant seem to find the file. Is there a source to find it? Also, Its been years since I've done this. Is there a way you guys recommend doing it without causing any issues?
Thanks!
