DeJa Office Account in Settings Accounts is goine - Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Questions and Answers

I use CompanionLink and DeJa Office to sync Outlook and my Note 8 Contacts
I had an Android Update this morning and now I do not have an DeJa Office Account in settings -> Accounts
and I cannot add it either.
Anyone else notice this or have a suggestion?
I can have my COntacts in DeJa Office App but they stopped showing up in my Note 8's Contact's (As I used to tell it to show only DeJa Office)
DeJa Office latest version (4.3.6 (Build 1002)
I have it working now by telling DeJaOffice to use Office account (MS Office)

How to use hotmail.com or msn.com adresses

Hi guys
me again
Could someone please explain me how to set up a hotmail account on pocketpc to download the emails?
Get Pocket MSN.
It's finally released, has a one-time fee of $19.99 and integrates MSN Mobile, MSN Messenger, Hotmail. The payment also enables your MSN/Hotmail account to send and receive Hotmail through "Pocket Outlook" on your Pocket PC.
http://mobile.msn.com/Default.aspx
Just click on the second section labeled "Get Pocket MSN."
Try HTTPMail Provider 1.0
While people had issues with this recently due to Microsoft changing the way MSN/Hotmail is accessed, this is still available for trial download to see whether or not it still works. (I just went with Pocket MSN to make sure I got this working from Microsoft directly.)

Different Methods to Synchronize Calendar, Contacts Over The Air

Since my university doesn't give us undergrads Exchange accounts, I theoretically have no way of synchronizing all of my PIM information (calendar, contacts, tasks, notes) over-the-air.
How can I still get this functionality?
CHEAT: Use mail2web's Free or Paid Hosted Exchange Service
I'm a little afraid that a SNAFU could occur and I'd lose all of my data. Since I only really modify all of this on one laptop (except for Google Calendar when I'm on the run or Funambol's web-access) I'm tempted not to pay the $15/mo fee. If someone could let me know of a way to back up all the data on the server, I wouldn't mind doing this.
OPEN SOURCE: Use Funambol
Thanks to SyncML (Wikipedia it) there is an open-source alternative. Using my.funambol.com, which is Funambol's free portal, I'm able to use connectors in Outlook and on my Fuze to synchronize all my PIM data.
However, reminders do not synchronize! I read on a forum somewhere that portals other than my.funambol.com do not have this problem, but I am still investigating.
PLEASE CONTRIBUTE IF YOU CAN BE OF ANY HELP!
I'm using the following setup :
Outlook on stationary PC at my home acts as "master" calendar.
Google Calendar acts as "on-the-road" calendar
PocketPC - "on-the-road" calendar when no computer is available.
Sync :
Outlook <-> Google Calendar : "Google Calendar Sync". Application installed on stationary PC - autosyncs every 20 mins. (self definable).
Google Calendar <-> PocketPC : "SyncMyCal".
Works perfect. If I make changes to my PocketPC calendar, my outlook at home is shortly after updated automatically.

NuevaSync
You could try NuevaSync. It is a free solution that will sync your Google contacts and calendar OTA ("over the air"), using the native Activesync connection.
Personally, I use Seven for synching my e-mail (Gmail and Google Apps) as well as my Gmail contacts. They are supposedly working on a Google Calendar sync as well. In the meantime, I am using Oggsync (which has a free and pro version).
I use my.funambol.com to OTA PIM's and to download PIM's OTA to outlook on my Laptop.

I don't believe you can remove them. All you can do is delete the contacts so they don't show up on the phone (if you only use the Gmail or Outlook contacts). Removing them from your Live contacts will also remove them from you messenger contacts, so keep that in mind.
I believe Ms has copied this from google . so the only option is I guess you delete them in your live account or delete the live account under setting which of course will affect your market accessibility.
or better still make a new live account with no contacts
um how did
you even get your windows live contacts on the phone? i synced my contacts to windows live from myphone winmo 6.5.x then got my hd7 signed in with my windows live no contacts appeared, then signed in with my gmail account and it pulled my contacts from my gmail.

Whatever Windows Live ID you enter as the first/primary one will automatically sync with your Contacts (store in your Hotmail/Contacts account) and Calendar (stored in your Windows Live Calendar) account. There is no choice, as this is how it works. The phone assumes the first Windows Live ID you enter is your primary means of communication, therefore will automatically sync all that information to your phone.
To remove those contacts from your phone, you would delete them from your Contacts and/or Hotmail account and it will reflect the changes across all of Windows Live. This includes Windows Live Messenger.

The Microsoft MyPhone contacts are not part of Windows Live and therefore will not sync with your Windows Phone 7 device since MyPhone is not available for the platform and incompatible.
If you log in with your windows live account, WP7 will automatically use those contacts. This is by default and not changable.
Yeah you can probably delete them...or create a bogus account that has no contacts, etc., but the premise is still the same....first WL account gets the calendar and contacts sync'd automatically
Here it is what you have to do when you want to receive your hotmail e-mails but not sync hotmail contacts, in otherword to Exclude windows live contacts....
SETTINGS > ADD AN ACCOUNT > OTHER ACCOUNT > Then just type your hotmail adress and the password.
That`s it, the HD7 is only syncing E-mail !!!! all hotmail (windows live) contacts are NOT synched !!!!!
DO NOT USE "WINDOWS LIVE" option !!!!! when adding a new e-mail !!!

Looking for calendar app with birthdays from contacts

Hi, is there any app, which can show the birthdays of my contacts in the calendar?
I don´t want to sync with my google calendar, i only want to show the birthdays.
On windows mobile there was an app called "TodayAgenda" which had this functionality.
Is there something similar on android? Now i use calWidget, but there i can´t show my birthdays.

+1
I would like this as well.
Further, the addition of birthdays to calendar from synced facebook contacts. I there is no such app, I bet one would be a big hit! This is not the first time the question has come up. Devs???
+1 too.. sigh.. I'm too spoilt by SBSH Touch Calender in WM6.5.
It has agenda view, complete with Date, Day, Appt Start/End time, Appt Location, Birthday and Task!
There is an application fbcal
http://www.fbcal.com/
You can make an ical of birthdays of your friends, create a new google calendar and import it there which would sync with android calendar. That's what I have been doing and it works okay so far.
I use Geburtstage - Frei from the Market
If you like it with Pic then use Geburtsag Info Widget
They are both Free Apps and German.
Ghostrider
I know the possibility to include birthdays manually in google calendar, also the extra widget on homescreen.
But that is NOT what i am looking for. I´m looking for reading birthdays out of my contacts without anything to do and showing them in the calendar.
Just open your calendar app an android and push the menu button, the select more > Calendars and select Contacts' birthdays and events
and your contacts birthdays are shown in your normal calendar
I don´t have this in my mdj gingerbread 2.6 rom.
I want to have a widget for my homescreen where i can see many events, not only the next one like on native android calendar.
theres a great one on the market and its free, its called Schedule St, by elecom. it links to you googl calender, has birthdays from contacts and shows public holidays.

búsqueda Birthdaywidget enel mercado
Extremely simple to add contact birthdays to calendar if you have a google account.
1. Open you gmail on a computer
2. Click on calendar on top
3. Left side- Other calendars- Add- browse interesting calendars- More- Contact's birthdays and events (choose subscribe)
And done! If you have the birthday fields of tour contacts filled in the correct format, the birthdays will show in your phone's calendar after the next sync. Ensure you are syncing the right calendar on you phone, that's all!

I know that, that but i want to have the age of my contacts displays too.
With gmail calendar i only get "xxx has birthday today".
I want to have it displayed like that: John Doe (25)
But that is not possible with gmail.

This one can show the age.

[Q] Cant Sign Into Office 365

Just got a new Windows Phone 8x, and I am having the exact problem that is described in this thread: http://forums.wpcentral.com/windows...e-365-because-e-mail-account-already-use.html
Except! I am paying for Office 365, and it is attached to my Microsoft account ([email protected]). I sign in with my Microsoft account on Office - Office.com to access everything online. I am signed into it as a Microsoft account on my phone, and I am also syncing Gmail, the same email address. When I click Office 365 in the office app, then hit setup, I add an Outlook (outlook.com, exchange, office 365) account and it says "There's already an account on this phone using [email protected], called Gmail". If I sign out of Gmail, it just refuses to connect at all.
I do not have an Outlook.com email address, and I paid for Office 365 using my Microsoft account ([email protected]). Any ideas on a solution?
Has no one run into this problem? I cant be the only one that bought Office 365 with my Microsoft account. I wonder if a trip to a Microsoft Store might help.
Sounds looks you have same login email for office 365 and outlook.com/hotmail.com... Im using office365 and no prob to setup. For live.co.uk i have different login details and for office 365 other.
