Huawei P8 lite ALE-L21C432B610 update without losing root - P8lite General

Good day,
I have the aforementioned phone, and have recently received the ALE-L21C432B610 update. My phone is rooted. How can I update without losing root? I have TWRP installed.
Thanks in advance

Or how would I get rid of this ALE-L21C432B610 update that keeps popping up wanting to install?

You can't really... Update it and reroot again, no other way.

Thank you Sir

[Q] Install 5.1 OTA if rooted and bootloader unlocked?

Hi guys !
I unlocked my bootloader and rooted my device, and i don't know if i can upgrade my Nexus 6 by ota (received this morning on the phone) without brick it.
Is it dangerous?
Thank you
EDIT : I'm on stock Lollipop 5.0.1
Unlocked is fine. If you have root or any other system mods, you'll need to remove them.
Oh thanks for the quick answer
So if I unroot it with Nexus Root Toolkit it will be ok?

Nexus toolkit doesn't unroot. It reflashes the entire phone which also means root disappears. If you're going to do that, no point taking the ota. Just flash full update.
You can indoor via the SuperSU app.
Oh ok I just saw that.
So if I unroot via SuperSU it's ok i can install?

As long as you do the full unroot and made no other modifications. Oh and everything must be 100% stock, including recovery
I've installed TWRP...
So, what is the best way for me to install 5.1 without losing my data?

download the factory image that you want to update to.
extract the system.img, boot.img and radio.img
Fastboot flash them.
You could also flash the bootloader if you want though I dont see any point.
Ok, thank you for your quick answers

Indian K3 Note / K50a40: Apply OTA marshmallow update over rooted lollipop w/o reset.

I had rooted my K3 note by replacing the stock recovery with TWRP with the help of SP Flash tools and installing SuperSU.
Recently the Marshmallow OTA update rolled out for the Indian K3 Note. However, when I try installing it, the phone simply reboots without updating. Going through the forums, I believe that this is due to the absence of the stock recovery which seems to be required for installing the update.
I also believe that if I try manually flashing the OTA update zip through TWRP, it'll probably fail, since this is what most people have attempted to do so have experienced.
So how do I go about installing the OTA update now? Do I have to reinstall the stock recovery or is there a workaround via TWRP? If I do have to unroot and install stock recovery, how do I go about it? I don't want to go through the hassles of unrooting my phone to install this update, neither do I want to apply any unofficial ROMs such as the cuoco92 one.
Suggest me some solutions guys..
Thanks in advance

Have you tried doing the same? Won't that require the phone to be unrooted?

Its easy to download and install updated rom and re-root..

Stop spreading misinformation mate, if you don't know what you're talking about. I've spent the whole evening looking through the internet regarding my query where all of them say that the OTA update only works with stock recovery. Flashing the official OTA update with TWRP will most definitely not work.
There is no definitive article or post which explains how to do it with a rooted phone and custom recovery, which is what I'm looking for.

OTA Update after Root

Actually I have MIUI Global 7.3.10.0(MAAMIDD) with TWRP and Root, my question is there any problem updating via OTA? Will I lose the root or TWRP? Thanks!
When you update Global 7.3.10.0 to Global 7.5.1.0, you will lose root.
I don't know TWRP because I haven't installed TWRP in Mi5.
Maybe, If you already have instralled TWRP, the update will be not in success.
Do not update via OTA without stock recovery... You may go into bootloop

Updating from rooted 8.1.0.161 (C432) to 9.0.0.195 (C432E5R1P9) without losing data?

Hello friends,
I'm on 8.1.0.161 with my CLT-L29. I got the OTA update notification for weeks now.
I'd love to update but IIRC there were no simple ways to do that without losing data and root. Did the situation change meanwhile?
What would be the steps necessary to run the OTA update? Remove root, flash stock recovery (I'm on twrp 0.1 now), install OTA update, then root again?
Best regards,
