I finally received the OEM unlock toggle today and enabled it and easily installed magisk.
through restoring my apps, the phone froze.
When I rebooted it displayed a message in RED at the top "only official released binaries are allowed to be flashed" and would not go past the samsung logo.
in download mode it shows that FRP and OEM are both set to OFF. however i cannot flash my patched boot.tar, or even TWRP.
I get the same message in red...

I can restore to stock in Odin, and I still have OEM lock off in download mode.
However I'm not able to modify anything. OEM lock has dissapeared from developer options, and it seems KNOX was tripped by flashing magisk.
Googling that RED message turns up zero results.. whats going on here??

i read in the OEM unlock thread some were thinking that OEM unlock was on a timer for some? that it only displayed after a certain amount of time.. If that is true then its possible when you flashed back to stock it reset the timer.
Note: Just trying to help , i have never had this OEM issue
Maybe try looking in the oem unlock thread also might be worth checking out the root / TWRP thread

There is some type of time delay. it took 8 days for option to show up in the first place.
However the phone was successfully rooted with Magisk. and Google play was restoring my apps when it froze.
Currently restoring apps again on stock XSP.. no OEM in developer options.. but it still shows OEM lock off in Download mode
Any help is greatly appreciated.

I'm facing the same problem. OEM Lock is OFF but am unable to flash custom recovery (currently unable to boot into OS either). Was working fine with Magisk and TWRP until I flashed custom ROM...(more details for my case: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=73985590&postcount=27)
Anyone made any progress with this yet? I'm going to try flashing stock back and try again. Hoping for the best XD
I have the same issue. I've had OEM unlock as an option since day 1 and it never disappeared on me. Using an N950FD XSP I flashed TWRP/Verity. Rebooted into my stock ROM. I checked and the OEM unlock option had disappeared. Finished downloading a custom ROM and went to reboot into TWRP and I got the 'official binaries' message. So I went back into download mode and my FRP/OEM lock are both off. I can't flash TWRP again, I get the 'official binaries' message again. Going back to stock rather than letting an expensive brick sit on my desk.

I'm in same boat. SM-N950F Australian TEL/TEL/TEL. Had to go back to stock as well after the soft brick.
Out of curiosity based on the screenshot above, what is the code to know if you tripped Knox on a Note 8?
I see it shows 1 (0x0303). Mine shows 1 (0x030c). I am back on the stock ROM and tried to use Samsung Pay. No luck, warning message about modifications to the device. I only made it as far as TWRP/Verity, so I guess that was far enough to destroy any possibility of me using it.
Also, I have no more OEM lock option. It shows off in download mode, but I guess I'm waiting until next week before having any chance of seeing it again. Perhaps it being off is why Samsung Pay isn't working?

First things first.
I have too low amount of posts to post in dev sections so its there.
None of described software belongs to me. And im not responsible for damages.
!!! MI FLASH TOOL BELOW !!!
http://en.miui.com/unlock/download_en.html
Okay so me and probably others have/had problems with unlocking your Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime.
These are simple steps to succes.
what is needed: Redmi 4 pro, ADB drivers
1. Sign to Xiaomi and apply for unlocking http://en.miui.com/unlock/
It is important to add correct data.
2. Connect to your Mi account on the device and enable Find Device option under Xaiomi cloud
if it is done correctly u will be able to find ur device at https://i.mi.com/
3 Wait for permission u will receive SMS message.
4. When permission is aquired and device is connected to Mi Cloud we have to try to unlock the device.
5 . Download Mi Unlock software ( added to post up there )
6 .Enable developer settings
System info -> couple of clicks on MiUi version
Back - > more settings -> developer settings - > Enable OEM unlock
7. Reboot to fastboot ( Vol down + power ) till some (russian?) bunny appears
8. Perform unlock from Mi Unlocker and press
Left button
enter Login(email) and password to mi account
Connect the phone and press the button !
9 Reboot. You should be done Congrats !
You can install miui global now or any other rom. to Perform you have to :
1. Boot to fastboot
2.Download Brigudav Recovery https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-4-prime/development/recovery-twrp-3-1-1-2-brigudav-t3656372
3.connect the phone
4. in console window type: fastboot flash recovery RECOVERYNAME.img
5.Boot to recovery and install the rom
Happy flashing !

I dont know but if you have installed non original rom isnt ur phone already unlocked?
Probably you can unlock your phone just make an application you can probably check the bootloader state from fastboot by
Code:
fastboot oem device-info
in fastboot mode

You can't!!!
You need to flash a official China Stable 8.0.5.0 ROM to unlock - tried it with different phones and methods...
I have not activated the "find device" and is still unlocked.
Hi
I have recently purchased a Redmi 4 Prime phone that came with the vendor rom and I wanted to flash the latest china dev rom, but am stuck in bootloop. cant enter DL mode, but fastboot is OK. unfortunately none of the adb commads work, the phone is recognized under "fastboot devices" but not under "adb devices". I have tried the fastboot2edl v2 method but is goes straight into bootloop. can you please suggest what to do and help me out?

Try to turn it off and press volume down + up and power until the LED flashes red and connect USB - it should be recognized as Qualcomm ******
If not, then build your own deep flash cable or order one on ebay or something... - with that u can reach the DL mode on nearly every Qualcomm device

Flashed the Developer Preview Rom and it worked
usually the issue with unlock is a different username used to login. use the same, either email, number or name on both.
should solve it.
Can anyone translate this to English?

Required items/files:
1.SM-J327U (obviously)
2.Windows PC
3.USB cable
4.Odin 3.12
5.CF_autoroot for SM-J327T (the SM-J327U file will not work for some reason)
Optional (but recommended):
1.stock rom (for restoring your device if something goes wrong)
Disclaimer: I take no responsibility for those who mess up their device and those who complain on this thread that their device got bricked will be ignored. You agree by simply rooting or attempting to root your device while using this guide and that this is at your discretion and me and anyone on xda-developers.com will not be held liable to any damages to your device or any losses you may occur financially. You also agree that your warranty is now void as per warranty policy set forth by samsung.
Steps:
1.enable oem unlock in developer options
2.turn off device
3.boot into download mode by using Vol-down+home+power button at the same time for a few seconds.
4.Plug device into pc with usb cable.
5.Open odin as administrator and verify that your device has been detected by seeing added.
6.Put cf_autoroot into ap slot
7.flash it and wait for it to finish and say pass.
8.boot into recovery and factory reset
9.verify that your device boots correctly and that you indeed have super su installed and have root.
Easiest root ever. Why can't the sm-j327t & sm-j327t1 just be this easy? it is practically the same exact device as this one in this guide. The only difference is that it is made for a specific phone company. the sm-j327u is unlocked for all carriers.
Notice: if flashing fails verify that you have followed all steps in order
Thanks goes to ashlyx for helping out someone else with this device get root as i do not own this device model. I made this guide to simply help people with this device out as there is no guide yet anywhere on the internet.
Notice: TWRP has been released for this device please refer to this thread for an alternative root method: https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...nt/ecovery-root-twrp-3-1-1-1-samsung-t3709987

frp isnt supposed to be in developer options its a setting that is automatically enabled when putting a google account on your phone. it shows on in download mode if you have a google account attached. and also if you boot up after factory reset and it asks for the google account that was linked to the device then frp is enabled and you need to login and then after setup remove the account from the accounts list in settings and then goto developer options and make sure oem unlock is on and then reboot your phone completely and after it boots up again turn it off and goto download mode to confirm FRP is off. you should see FRP off in text on your phones screen.

Indeed the security is MUCH stronger. I have managed on the snapdragon model to enable and disable what you are getting directly(MDM lock) but it requires root to do it and its different for the exynos models. There ARE ways to disable what you have but only once rooted.

Need a firmware or something that can fix SM-N950XU (note 8 ldu) that has been flashed with rev3 firmware and is security error locked (Won't boot passed error screen). Also right before that error screen it will flash in red letters "secure check fail - Modem". Too add to the mess in recovery it will say " E:failed to mount /efs (Invalid argument). I Just want my live demo unit to function as a ldu nothing more. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Rdu and live demo units are locked in this way for a good REASON, if you want really full functionalities, you must buy normal, common, legally distribuited devices, not company or live demo units

As long as you can get into download mode you can remove the mdm easily. From the ones I've done I just use odin and select a firmware file or 4 files depending on model and on the options tab select nand erase all and voila its done. the nand erase all erases the mdm prior to flashing.

Wonderful App, Unfortunately Huawei patched this vulnerability.
After 5 unsuccessful attempts, The Phone reboots itself to prevent the algorithm from working.

We dont know if this is a security fix or not. Maybe with some luck its a bug that could be circumvented somehow.

There is a workaround for the reboots described in this pull request https://github.com/SkyEmie/huawei-honor-unlock-bootloader/pull/16
I don't know if it is merged, but the guy forked the repo and implemented it I think -> https://github.com/mschabhuettl/huawei-honor-unlock-bootloader

I've read through the commits, Looks like a possible solution _ But I'm not seeing any success stories yet.
Also, continuously rebooting your phone maybe over a 1000 times is not really a good idea.
Have you tried this on your device or waiting for someone else to take one for the team ?
I note that fastboot files are included in this methods. Is it even possible to get latest huawei phones to fastboot?

Hi there,
I don't have any Huawei device right now. Only one P20 Pro for my wife but I unlocked it with a code back then.
I had a Mate 30 Pro but sold. Waiting for some stable google services solutions and I will buy again.

Yes no problem at all.
ADB reboot bootloader works just fine, the usual white bootloader screen. No FRP lock though, which explains the "missing" switch in Developer Options.
Fastboot reboot, then reboots the phone as normal.
Didn't try any other commands.
Just waiting to get my pro plus to try this. Anyone else?
Any way to try it without erasing all the data? After hours of installing all the google apps it's not easy to just erase it.

Unfortunately not. Although if all data is erased, it should have successfully completed its task and then you have a unlocked bootloader.
If no unlocked bootloader, your data should be kept on the device.

Make a backup with HiSuite on PC : Which you can restore later if the operation is successful.
Your data will only be erased if the Bootloader gets unlocked. At the attempt / trying stage It won't trigger a data wipe.
If the bootloader does get unlocked, It will be a massive win which is totally worth doing the google installations again.
Maybe next time onwards you can use Titanium Backup to backup apps and data., Push the Google Apps from the system dump of P30 Pro EMUI 10 to the Mate 30 / P40 Pro devices to have Playstore certified GMS, Host level adblocking and many more life-saving solutions.
Sorry guys and gals but the script doen't work on P40 Pro.
Fastboot works and the script reboots the phone but commands like oem unlock and oem info don't work.

Thanks for trying!

Huawei have probably taken away the unlocking option from the bootloader seeing as they don't support unlocking anymore.
There's no "FRP unlock" switch in Developer Options like on previous models (p10/20/30 etc) either which implies the same.
Shame, would have been nice to find a potential "backdoor" to unlock & root! With Magisk able to be installed, that would have solved all the Google/uncertified problems people are having.
The "Phone Finder" error message is interesting though, I assume you tried it with that disabled? I think iPhone's have a similar block... Maybe you can't unlock the handset with that turned on?

The chance to find a security engineer/hacker that wants to dedicate time into finding a exploit and unlocking without incentive other then getting media attention, is quite low.

Can we start a gofundme or something similar, money is a good incentive.

Nope, because this is a very well paid job.
It could start to be attractive if you also count the media attention at minimum 50k dollar.
If I was in Huawei shoes I would just unlock the bootloader again. Don't see what they gain from keeping them locked, while on the same time unlocking then might boost new device sales a bit

The ban will cost them sure a lot sales off smartphones... And also aocked bootloader ?
Perform this at your own risk. You will LOSE all data on your phone.
( I'm not responsible for any damage to your device )
This guide will walk you through the process of Unlocking your bootloader on Xiaomi 11T Pro.
Prerequisites:
Backup all the files on phone as we will be resetting the phone to unlock the bootloader.
Install ADB and Fastboot Drivers from here (Select the latest) -> https://androidmtk.com/download-minimal-adb-and-fastboot-tool )
Install drivers for Xiaomi 11T Pro -> https://droidfilehost.com/download/download-xiaomi-usb-driver-for-windows
Download MiUnlock Tool -> https://en.miui.com/unlock/download_en.html
Unlocking the Bootloader:
Go to "About Phone" in Settings and keep tapping on MIUI Version until it shows "You are now a developer"
Navigate to "Additional Settings>Developer Options" and enable "OEM unlocking"
Make sure you have a Mi account and your sim is inserted. In Developer options, select "Add account". Now your Mi Account is linked with your Device.
On your PC, open MiUnlock Tool and login with the same Mi account you have used login to the tool.
Power off your phone and boot into fastboot mode by long pressing the power button + volume down button.
Connect your phone to your PC and click refresh in the MiUnlock Tool
After clicking unlock, it will give your a wait duration. (Generally 168 hours, there's no known way to bypass this wait time) You can continue to use your phone meanwhile, but remember to backup before clicking unlock after your wait time is complete.
After your wait is complete, click unlock and then click reboot. Your phone will now reset and boot up.
Enjoy.
Is this true about warranty? I think that i read that unlocking bootloader is not reason to void it
I have attempted to unlock bootloader, it ask for 336h wait. Did they changed waiting time from one week to two? Is it because device is quite new and they don't want them to be unlocked?

depends on the Mi Account, is it a new sim or an old one? I checked and added a new one to the device and it gave 2 weeks of wait time. I just added my old one and it gave 7.4 days of waiting.

Unlocking the boot loader shouldn't Void the warranty, installing a custom ROM will.

does systemless root also void the warranty?
I just need the adblocking stuff only
You don't have to root to have adblocking. Use private dns.

Use the "driver_install" to fix the issue. Connect the phone both normally and in Fastboot mode. It automatically installs the drivers.
Hi guys, same problem here, Mi Unlock won't recognise my phone. Actually when I connect the phone to the PC in fastboot mode, nothing happens... I've tried to use the solution above but it doesn't change anything. When I click on the "driver_install" nothing happen neither.
On the Mi Unlock software when I go to the parameters and that I check driver installation, it says it can't find "miusbdriver.exe" (something like that). I took the miusbdriver.exe from the other version folder (from the message of arash74 above) but it's a loop : It finds the file but it asks me to reconnect my phone and so on.
Any help would be nice ! Thanks

Did you try the 64bit version (driver_install_64) too?
It's worth a try to disable driver signature verification as well.

Thank you Arash for your answer mate, I just did it with this tutorial :
I was stuck at this step actually, I didn't understand that by unpluging and pluging back my phone it would install the drivers !
So now I guess I have to wait 161 hours to continue my unlocking thing but I'm glad I could fix that problem of undected phone, and if it helps someone else here it's also a good thing then.

If you unlock bootloader, no your warranty will not be void. However if you show up to a Mi service center with an unlocked bootloader and a custom ROM, they will consider your warranty voided.

So there is no way to bring phone back to factory state.
PS.
Is there any other way to turn on call recording ?
