N950N - KT branded - How do I flash unbranded firmware? - Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Questions and Answers

I just got my KR 256GB blue phone and it happens that this is a KT branded device. This isn't really a huge deal to me but it's funny seeing the KT logo on boot up and software carries the KT branding. Obviously not being in Korea I have no use for KT software. Is there an N950N unbranded firmware I can flash using Kies or Odin? Where can I get this? Thanks guys!

There is no unbranded version of the 950N, you could root and flash one of the 950F based ROMs

n7000 region and unbranded help

Hey, my n7000 is shows germany in region, and now its on 2.3.6. i'm from israel and like to know if i should change the region for updates? is there a international region?
b.t.w the phone is simfree
If you want OTA or updates over Kies you need to install the proper Rom for your country.
You can find here

iirc, german models were one of the fastest to get updates.
more importantly, tell us which version your device is currently running. if its already on the latest version then its pointless to waste time swapping regions and wiping your device.
its the latest for now
android 2.3.6
baseband xxlb2
kernel xxlc1
iirc, german models were one of the fastest to get updates.

No. You cannot put a different phone's firmware on the N7000B.
I have a French note (n7000) from Kogan that is rooted and running a n7000 rom with a n7000b baseband because I wanted the Telstra modem. It's working fine.

[Q] Would I need to wipe to install this firmware?

I have found a new firmware for GT-I8190N which was released in September 2014. I live in the UK but my current firmware is BTU (UK unbranded) and this firmware is Vodafone UK so should I install this firmware? Would I have to wipe? Is it worth getting my phone branded? Would I get bloatware?

Changing N920i Firmware

I currently have a N920i from Telstra (Australia) and I was wondering if it is possible to flash the non carrier firmware onto it instead of the having the Telstra firmware? Reason being Telstra take forever with their software updates. If possible, what are the drawbacks?
you cannot change ur kernel or baseband..however u can chnge rom(custom rom like dr.ketan's rom) and that would block ota updates.. So you cannot do anything brother...
Download an official Singapore rom from sammobile. Do the one without any attached version name like singtel, if that makes sense. It will change your kernel. But not your baseband. I'm not sure if this would trip knox however. But I did flash mine to Telstra but I didn't like it because it doesn't feel right. And flashed back. As mines an international version but not from Telstra
Thanks for the feedback, I don't want to trip Knox or anything so I think I'll just leave it be. Thanks anyway guys
Flashing a pure stock rom (eg from Sammobile) through Odin will not trip Knox. I have done that several times. Make sure you only flash one for your device model - the N920i

Singapore purchased note 9 DS- update to BTU & Pie

Hi, I have a SM N960F DS purchased from Singapore. I have changed the CSC to BTU /BTU , BTU/ XSP via the *1234# method. I am still not getting the Pie update. Can I flash the BTU firm that was pushed out a few days back? Do all firmwares work with Dual Sim? Many thanks
