Devs abandoned the device? - OnePlus 3T Questions & Answers

No oreo development is to be seen since the only oreo rom under 3t was updated 09/19 . Devs abandoned 3t? i wonder. oneplus 5 is getting much love on xda. Having a good working updated oreo rom in the forum for OP5

Check AOSPExtended or OmniROM thread... you will find something interesting.
Before posting, check better.
UPDATE: There is a new build for the LaOS 15.0.

When people doesn't have patience ,
Making device tree , fixing bug are not easy job ..

Well, @protocol717, I was waiting for your build actually... So yeah, now, I'm pretty sure you abandoned the device and we wont have any update.
I don't even know the point of your thread (not even comment, you created a thread just for that sh*tty thought). Look at the top device on XDA, the OnePlus 3T is still in top 5.
So know, learn how to be patient, and actually, be patient.
Or, make your own device three, kernel source, and build Linea....oh wait, build are already there.

Tuttut girls...

Ha Ha... your device is Oneplus 3T.. Oneplus has a brand name on being the most active developing community phones. My Old Oneplus One has the confidence of getting the Oreo, why not Op3t..

Crybabies from Oneplus forum started visiting XDA now?
Unleashed by ONEPLUS 3T rooted

No one has abandoned 3T. OnePlus devices have a reputation for having the most active development community. If you're worried about all the "Final" builds then its just because there isn't much to do on Nougat anymore since Oreo is out now. Once a proper device tree is established and all bugs are fixed, I'm quite certain a lot of Oreo builds will start popping up.
PS. Not many other devices have a solid oreo build yet but 3T has GZOSP and LOS15. Still quite buggy but stable enough to be your daily driver if youre willing to sacrifice a few things

[KERNEL] HTC First CM-based Kernel

CM-based kernel for the HTC First
The JB Kernel source released by HTC is lacking, to say the least, for anything aosp or cm-based. This port of the CM-maintained MSM8960 kernel should future proof the HTC First for at least 1-2 more Android releases.
The kernel is used in my current CM11 port.

A prebuilt image will not be provided. Use of this kernel assumes knowledge of compilation of kernels. I recommend using gcc 4.7 toolchain to compile the kernel.
Misc notes:
- Holding power key will not reset phone anymore as this functionality isn't implemented in gpio_input and I have no intention of doing so. Instead, the phone can be hard reset by holding power+vol up+vol down simultaneously
Feel free to report any bugs in this thread.
I am so happy to see someone still working on our First !!!!!!!!! Thank you so much for doing this ^^
When do you think you can share your cm 11 for our HTC first ??? ^^ No push just asking. Take you time.
There is no ETA, and I will not make any promises. Currently, the mic does not work in calls, and I will not be releasing it until that is fixed. You may check github.com/CMyst for any bugfixes/updates and once the mic is fixed, an update will be available very soon. However, unlike a previous port of CM11 that another member posted, the graphics are fluid and Wi-fi/BT works. Unfortunately, the camera does not work (almost working) and NFC seems to be broken due to some missing firmware.
It must be a lot of work for you to do by your self. But BIG BIG thank you for doing this. I hope you can release it soooon ~. Thank you again
Any progress update ?? ^^;; I hope you still working on it..

Numerous fixes have been added to the kernel. The resulting problems with camera (at least I think) and audio amp are userspace.

[Custom Rom] Cyanogenmod for Mate S [question]

Hi Community,
I Wonder because There is no Custom AOSP Rom For our device, and i think its because Device specific sources. And i know There is no Big development Community For our device. But, pls Tell me If im wrong, The Big Problem is The Not Open source Kernel but There is a Android 5.1.1 Android Open source kernel source For The Mate s.
And i Wonder because no one has testet it If you can build there a Rom with
Honor 7 and Mate S share (nearly) the same hardware, reusing the kernel from Honor 7 is absolutely possible (tested working by me, except for the modem). So you should hope for a Honor 7 CM release which will hopefully happen this/next week according to the developer (thread).
How sure are you?
Sorry for my question. But I never rootet or flashed a custom rom before. But now, since Huawei announced that there wont be an update for android 7 on the mate s, Im looking for a nice clean stock android rom. So, I think cm14 would be the best. You wrote in your post, that the cm14 version for the honor 7 would probably work. Are there any issues? Like no connection because of the modem?`
Thanks for all your answers.
cris- is working on it

It seems the CyanogenMod for honor 7 is released, I'm wondering how difficult would the convertion to Mate S be. Does anyone have an idea? How long would it take? And why isn't cris working on it anymore? I'm not too good at German. Thanks
Well the problem was that WLAN, sim card etc. are not working.... So he wasn't able to work with this rom. Maybe another developer could port this rom. But cris- is still developing the Kangvip Rom for our mate s.

I would really love a Lineage port for the Mate S. I just cannot stand EMUI.

Best ROM is based on your requirements...for me AOSPA or AOSPA Extended..smooth and good battery life but lacks features which I don't need anyway
best is LineageOS because CAF
otherwise OxygenOS beta because APTX

Almost all AOSP near ROMs for OP3T are based on CAF
Not another best ROM thread, OP please stop this madness.
Best rom with me is Viperos + xceed kernel. Very smooth
What constitutes the "best ROM" will vary massively from one person to another based on individual usage and preferences. Similarly, battery life will often vary drastically from one user to another, depending on usage patters, apps, etc.
Just pick one or a couple ROMs which look good, and flash and try for yourself. No point in waiting around for strangers to make decisions for you.

Los has adapted the aptx from the betas some months ago. Sadly, I've no aptx capable bt device, so this is untested.
Right now imho leaked Hydrogen rom!
I can't get APTX from LineageOS but it works with OxygenOS beta and Paranoid Android
@ram4ufriends you're right AOSP Paranoid Android this one give best camera performance
regards
PA 7.3.0
snappy rom ,good camera and battery life

Linux on lilac? Porting Halium, Ubuntu Touch.

Hi,
I really like Xperia XZ1 compact design, and the fact it's comfortable in use. However I'm a big fan of real Linux distributions and mobile decentralisation, privacy, that's why I decided to achieve what's in the title - Ubuntu touch on XZ1c
Unfortunately, I'm still learning. For now I've only build AOSP 11 reading and understanding sony guide.
Now I try to understand whole structure of custom roms and in the meantime I build crdroid 10 for this device.
Could you help me understand well how to build custom roms from source, It may be priceless during the Halium build as I see the similar steps.

XZ1c has been released with android 8 then updated to 9. That means we need to build halium 9 with GSI not halium 5 or 7 (for previous android versions with different device tree) but there's no good documentation yet, so I recommend firstly seeing Halium conception then the GSI, and links in it, on the end previous well documented halium 5 & 7 first part.
My daily driver is indestructible Nexus 5 running Ubuntu Touch. So XZ1c can be a testing device without hurry.
The good news is I may borrow XZ1 dual sim "poplar_dsds" for building and testing in future after the XZ1c will be hopefully running Ubuntu Touch. Both are the "yoshimo" platform.
Second good news is that I also have old xperia z2 to train on everything I learn and that may destruct a device.

[LIST] [M7spr/M7wls only] Official Stable Old Cyanogenmod Builds & More Download Thread

Hello there guys, as many of you have noticed, the XDA thread for the Sprint HTC One M7 is not well organized as we expect and some many users may not find or understand the forums at all, so I made this thread regarding about the availability of the old build files of some Stable ROMs without bugs and some "Stable" ROMs with the Bluetooth, wifi drops, Kernel Panic Reboots, Freeze, and Ugly camera, etc. In this case I've stated what builds are with bugs so you're testing at your own risk, these builds are not mines and all credits goes to their respective developers, in this case I just wanted to bring this files at you guys if you where not able to find them or want to go back to something more stable, for example, CM 11 Snapshot build is most stable and free of bugs, no issues, and right now I'm using it again.

Since we have no official maintainer, we need to get one, right now I have 2 devices at hand of HTC M7, which is the M7vzw and M7spr, these are already bootloader unlocked, if you would like to see official support happens and come back again, feel free to donate me and start a project, building for official builds requires a great hardware, no matter what other says, this requirement is a strictly part if you want to succeed on official builds, people who is interested in donate, I accept computer parts instead of money in any case, since we need great hardware for this project, in any case you want to donate with money contact me at messages here on XDA only, I'll be online when I get a free time or when a notification arrives.
