Hi XDA
Last few days i bricked my Xperia T and because it is necessary to rescue my device from Limbo i downloaded the following firmware:
Build Number 7.0.A.1.303 CH
Now i want to download a suitable firmware for my device but i don't know which kind of firmware is suitable, for example there are some firmware called Branded and Non-Branded or some of them called Europe, Poland, etc.
Please help me to find out what are these? and which of them suitable? for my device.
I am from Iran, Asia - I mentioned maybe it's useful to make right choice.
Apologize for if any written English fails.
Thank you very much.

Any idea what version number you were running before the brick?..I'm in Canada and I'm running 9.1.A.1.140. The Branded firmware just means the Service Provider it's branded too. Mine is branded to Rogers. Comes with the Rogers Bloatware apps etc. Who did you purchase your cell from?
You can also create your own ftf file with SEUS and just flash that. There's a link in the "All in One thread".

Hi,
Really couple of quick questions... I have read the tutorials on flashing stock firmwares, I have got all the software downloaded (Xperifirm and Flashtool). I just want to debrand my phone (i.e. no O2 apps and no O2 boot screen).
I have picked out the Customized UK Unbranded firmware 23.0..1.A.5.77.
My current firmware is O2 Pay monthly UK 23.0.1.A.5.77
Does anyone see any forseeable issues with what I am about to do? First time flasher of Xperia phones - I have been a Samsung shill for far too long!
Kind Regards,
Neil

Hi,
I've also got the phone on O2 pay monthly and considering flashing the generic UK firmware. Did you use the links on the firmware thread to obtain the UK one? The links seemed to not work when I tried to download.
Have you read about creating your own flashtool file (ftf) for the current firmware? I would advise you to do so before getting rid of the O2 firmware as a backup ftf. You can repair the phone using the Sony PC companion and that would download the necessary files to create the ftf.
I have used couple of Xperias before and have always used flashtool to flash different firmware many times. The consensus regarding warranty and flashing seems that you do not loose the warranty in doing so and I have hoped it is so in flashing the other Xperias.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately this was not a successful attempt. I got the firmware using the app Xperifirm and decrypted it and created the flashing files in Flashtool as per instructions in another thread. I could not get the drivers to work correctly for Flashtool to function correctly however. Once I got to the flashing stage and Flashtool asked me to power down the device, I would then hold down the Vol - button whilst putting in the micro USB cable and it would fail instantly, first saying the driver was not installed and then after a lot of fiddling that the loader.sin would not install and again fail straight away. After a couple of hours of messing around I gave up.

Am I right in thinking that you downloaded this firmware when you posted about it back in 2015? If you did and you still have it would you be able to send me a copy? It seems to be unobtainable now from the internet.
Kind regards
Simon
I'm having issues trying to locate an English version of stock firmware build number 52.0.A.3.163.
Can anyone point in the right direction to download it so I can reflash my phone, the one I downloaded all the system folders are in gibberish because it's a chinese version.
Download xperiafirm and use newflasher to flash.
I did that, that's where I got the chinese version from, even though I selected the Customized UK version.
I have the Sony Xperia XZ2 H8216. I used XperiFirm and Newflasher to reinstall the latest Customized UK firmware for my Sony Xperia XZ2 H8216 and this is the result.

Use Xperia Companion to restore your original firmware.

Restart of you have fast internet.
Hello everyone, I just want to ask. I've Xperia XZ2, it's AU Model (SOV37), using Global Firmware (H8216).
I want to flash back into it's original firmware in order to use the NFC.
I already download the Japan Firmware (SOV37_KDDI JP_52.0.C.5.295-R13B), but I'm afraid that it will sim-locked if I flash it.
I'm also afraid that since this device wasn't able to unlock the bootloader (since the Bootloader Unlocked Allowed: No), can I still flash the firmware?
Can anyone show to me step by step how to flash the firmware (Not flash the STOCK ROM)?
Thanks in advance.
as long as you delete all the .TA files there shouldn't be any problem, though the latest japan firmware available is android 9
not sure what you mean by firmware though, since technically what you trying to do is flashing a firmware as in stock rom
I just got the phone today and already love it, the green colour is beautiful.
Now I wanted to flash this phone with the Customized UK firmware, but the only version I can find is 58.1.A.5.55
The problem is the current firmware available to the customized HK is 58.1.A.3.87
Correct me if I am wrong but this phone does not allow you to downgrade your firmware so If I flashed this higher firmware and messed it up, I could not flash the stock HK firmware it came with.
So where can I get the UK version of 58.1.A.3.87 ??
XperiFirm only provides the latest firmware so that program is out.
I also know I could just wait for the HK version to get the update... but god knows when that will be.
