Anyone tried a dual sim adapter with the R1 HD? - BLU R1 HD Questions & Answers

I have an older dual sim adapter I had used on some previous phones. I installed it primarily out of curiousity on the #2 sim slot and populated it with two freedompop (AT&T LTE, data only) sims. Sim toolkit (the app used to switch sims) shows a notification ("AT&T sim-1), but doesn't allow me to change it. It may also be reading sim #1 in the phone since it is populated with a tracfone AT&T sim, as oposed to one of the freedompop sims in the adapter on the phones #2 sim slot.
It is picking up one of the freedompop sims with LTE and seems to be working fine, I just can't access sim toolkit to change freedompop sims.
Anyway I was wondering if anybody with experience with dual sim adapters might have some insight on the adapter use with a dual sim phone. Thanks.

Dual Sim voice/Data: the final word

Has anybody finally tested the Dual sim card BLACK 1 from simore.ch on the Kaiser with an Orange voice SIM and a data 3G USIM?
They announce compatibility on their website (http://www.simore.ch/en/two_sim_cards_in_one_mobile/dual_sim_card_black_1.php)
for the version where you cut out your sim cards and they also mention "Support all GSM SIM cards (SIM & USIM)"
Don't want to shell out 40 euros and cut my sims if no result!
Any test/ideas out there?
Thanks.
Pierre.

Dual sim issues

Since Australia switched off its 2G network, my second sim card is no longer working.
If I want to be able to use both sims, are there any software fixes I can apply? Or will I have to get a new phone.

Dual SIM Note 8 Poor Network connection

I've got my phone setup with a Fido (Canada) data SIM and MTN (Nigeria) SIM for roaming in the second slot. I am using a sim adapter so a 128gb Samsung memory card is also hooked in. For some reason the MTN roaming SIM will not receive calls, most callers to that SIM card are told the number isn't available. However, if I switch off the second data SIM, the First SIM will then be able to receive calls without any problems. I've taken out the sim adapter and memory card, but this still persists.
Has anyone experienced this before or know a way to fix this?

So the phone is not a dual-SIM phone, it is only with the "adapter"?
It is a dual SIM phone alright. These hybrid dual SIM can either take two SIM cards or one SIM card and a memory card. If you want all 3, then you need to use an adapter to achieve that.

Dual sim but only 1 carrier for data

I have a dual sim N9 from Globe Philippines. I just realized that despite it being dual sim, only the slot where the Globe sim card is placed can access data. I want to be able to choose which sim card I'll use for data. There are places where signal is better for the other brand sim so it's only logical to shift to that carrier's service. Is there a way to do that without having to sim unlock the phone?
