My ROM is P7-L10V100R001C00B136 and my cust is CUSTC405D999, my phone is on Android 4.4.2 and rooted as well, i read through some threads but i couldn't get a clear answer to which ROM i should get going from the B136, especially that all this is procedural, you need to flash from one ROM to another to get to the latest one, and that's where i'm lost, so what course should i take to get the latest update ?
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
I've unlocked my bootloader, rooted, backed up (titanium and nandroid), S-off, SuperCID my phone so far and would like to flash my first rom.
At the moment I'm thinking of trying out the latest ARHD (12.0) based on firmware 2.24.401.1. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2183023&highlight=firmware
But the thing is my firmware is 1.29.707.16 (I bought my HTC One in Asia but I live in Europe). I believe that the tutorial does not state that you need the latest firmware, although it is highly recommended to wipe your data with aroma if you don't have it.
So my question is:
1. Would the ideal choice for me be to flash a Firmware update first and then flash this rom in order to acquire the most stable and optimized phone?
2. And if so do I update to 2.24.401.1. the european version or 2.24.709.1 the asian version since my first/original version is asian? (Or does the original firmware not matter, and I should base my firmware to the rom I want to use and where I'm currently located?)
3. And if I have to update to the latest asian firmware would that be compatible with the ARHD 12.0? Or would it be better to use ARHD 11.5 which was based on 2.24.709.1.
Last question, on this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2182823
It says to flash the firmware before the rom. AND to relock the bootloader before flashing the firmware.
I've been skimming around these forums for awhile, and people seem to be able to dirty flash without any problems and I can't find any mention of the need to relock the bootloader before flashing the firmware ANYWHERE, can anyone confirm or shed some light on this?
THANKS A LOT!
I know it's a lot of questions, but any help would be greatly appreciated and thanks for all these wonderful guides, roms, mods!!!!
If you post on the Rom's Thread you will probably get a quicker answer. People may have had the same issues as you and may be able to help!
No need to relock bootloader if you are s-off.

I am currently running the Bad Boy ROM v1.3. I want to upgrade to their latest ROM but im not sure how to go through the upgrade process. Do I need to do a backup move it to my computer then run a RUU for 4.3 then do the carrier upgrade then reflash recovery and then flash the new ROM? I could not seem to find an answer. Any guidance would be appreciated.
I was trying to flash a new ROM (Viper One) and followed the instructions to update the firmware. I got as far as getting into the fastboot and relocking the device so I could update the firmware to the latest version (per the instructions). I tried to no avail to unlock the bootloader and came across a thread saying I need to have a stock kernel to unlock the bootloader again. What I didnt count on was that the previous custom kernel was still loaded on the device even though I did a factory reset (again per instructions). I have searched for a stock 4.3 kernel but cant find one so I can finish this.
Ideas?
Thanks so much, in advance!

I was able to get my phone back to where it was before (viperOne ROM thats running v 4.1.2 and Sense 5.0). I am trying to get this back to stock before I take to Sprint to replace the phone for the purple camera bug.
I guess what Im looking for is the stock kernel for v4.1.2 so I can then flash it and take it in. The one you had linked to was for v4.4.x and will not work.
Thanks in advance!

Since, I don't know which version you are looking for you can pull the kernel out of the firmware for that version. You can check this site: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2576995 or this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2658910.

easiest way to update is with fastboot and google images here is link to images https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images
if you want to keep data or it wont flash follow this http://www.androidpolice.com/2014/11/12/running-into-the-dreaded-missing-system-img-error-flashing-android-5-0-factory-images-heres-how-to-get-around-it/ but you need to erase data because your on a custom rom and it probably wont be compatible with stock rom once you have updated everything reflash a custom recovery or dont flash the stock one at all then flash a 5.1 rom and good to go
What about all the Bootloader and radio zips that can be flashed through TWRP? I've read about people flashing the updates while still being on their 5.0.2 ROMs and everything still works fine, I don't have access to a computer I would like to just update straight from my phone without a Computer if possible? Think I could flash the Bootloader and radio updates through TWRP then reboot n after everything is all good go back and flash the new 5.1 ROM and gapps?

i don't know if anyone has twrp flashables for the updating bootloader and radios your searching is as good as mine here i am not experienced with that i always used factory images or ota updates to update those things.
but if you happen to have a backup of your stock rom in twrp you maybe able to just go back to stock then flash back your stock recovery then update with an ota but for an ota to work it has to be all stock no root no nothing just stock.

You cant flash a firmware with a lower bootloader number. The fifth digit from the right is the bl version. You are trying to flash a firmware with bl version 3 over you're current version 4 so just flash a firmware with version 4 and you should be good.
