The stock camera app is great, it makes beautiful pictures.
The thing i noticed which is really really bad is using the camera of other apps like snapchat, instagram, facebook. The color calibration or correction does something weird. It makes my pictures look very odd and not detailed in any way.

I am not a teenage girl but I use the front camera fairly often because I use the app 1SecondEveryday to capture 1 second of my life each day and often the best way to do that is a 'selfie', especially if I'm on my own somewhere.
Previously I had a Z3 which was a great rear camera but the front one was pretty terrible. If I was taking a selfie with mates in the pub it was always too dark and grainy. The Z5 front camera is much improved. Not great but 'good enough' for my uses.

It's functional you could easily use this for snapchat or other smartphone uses,
the quality isn't spectacular and the quality won't be great in low light, but you do have a front facing flash.
But the quality is adequate for most internet purposes, you aren't going to want to print them or anything though.
Ehh, not into selfies, but the 3yo loves taking them, a first ever on any of my phones and a real + is the front flash!! I can't believe some of the stuff they threw in with a $60 phone!!

Very nice selfie camera only one downside it's too zoomed in compared to my last phone galaxy s7. Otherwise no complains

If you have image stabilization on then it will be more zoomed in than normal.

From my point of view, this selfie camera is the best on market. And using the front camera fix makes it just PERFECT!
