I have an unlocked ATT Note 3 SM-N900A, can I flash it to the Tmobile rom? Do I need to root first? Where can I get the Tmobile rom?
thanks,
I dont think you can do that. It would not work properly.

My understanding is that you can flash other note 3 Roms, just not the Canada/Mex/international Roms. Also, with safestrap, no aroma support, so there are limitations. If you flash a vzw/spr/usc rom, there is no way of editing APN settings, however there is a flashable zip floating around loaded with gsm APN settings.

What rom do you recommend for SM-N900a to use for Tmobile?

Honestly I can't say. When I had my at&t note3 safestrapped, I only tried xnote. Since switching I've yet to flash any custom roms. I've been waiting for my white phone to arrive for an exchange so I've been patiently waiting to trip my Knox flag and have some fun.

Do not flash the stock ROM with ODIN.
You can only use custom .zip flashable ROMs.
I've read numerous people flashing the stock one with no issues

I read some one that did it and had no issues works fine
You never flash a stock ODIN ROM from a different carrier. Only custom ROMs and even some of them can lead to a brick.
Is there instructions on how to flash T-Mobile rom on AT&T N900A?
You cannot flash a T-Mobile stock ROM to an AT&T n900a as the boot loader is locked after 4.3.
It might work with SafeStrap or Flashfire but you're gonna end up with crappy cell signal and bugs galore. I wouldn't recommend it.

Instead of waiting on this firmware to be pushed to the Tmobile specific N4, is it possible to use the intl snapdragon firmware available on the sammobile site?
The international snapdragon variant is SM-N910F. The Tmobile variant is SM-N910T.
My battery life isn't horrendous. But its not what I was getting on my OnePlus or 6+. Before returning/waiting for Lollipop to be pushed, I just want to see if this firmware update will actually help.

Not possible to install a stock rom from a different variant. The only way you can install it, is that if you can cook it and make a custom rom out of it then install it via custom recovery(which is not yet available for tmobile)

Well damn. Thanks for the quick response though.
Guess I'll hold out for a few more days to see if it hits the Tmo variant.
Strangely enough, I have a German T-Mobile SM-N910F
I thought custom recovery was available. Don't we all have the ability to root or are developers using a different method?
Both devices are virtually identical, software being the exception.

through custom recovery prbly yes. You have to look in the custom roms section. But you cant install n910F rom through odin, it will simply fail to install

Sorry for necropost but... any differences between different variants hardware wise?
My previous phone was a Vodafone Xperia Z2, then I flashed a Generic/Unbranded Z2 rom without problems, and I even received OTA updates to the latter, like it was a Generic version. Isn't this possible on Samsung's?
sorry for bumping up a old thread but is it possible to flash this on my n910t?

As usual xda members ... Flash this using Odin ... im currently having issues with my dropbox account, So if somebody can get it uploaded to android file host please do ...

Just finished flashing and restoring. So far so good. Anyone have a changelog for this update?
I'm currently on PD6. Can I flash this on top of that via odin or are there incremental updates I need to do prior to this? Thanks for the guidance!

I flashed PF1 over PD6 on my G920AZ. Should be fine.
Question about updating
Hi, first post on xda.
My phone is an AT&T version but I live in AU, and I want to update it to marshmallow from what it is currently on (5.1.1), and it won't update since I'm not in the U.S.
It's currently on AUCU3BO12.
Can I flash this PG1 without upgrading to anything else first? Can it go from 5.1.1 to 6.0.1 directly from BO12? (According to AT&T's website, BO12 is a bit down the line in terms of updates, there have been a number since).
Edit: Also, which .tar file do I use out of the 4?
Thanks!
Does anyone know the answer to the above?
Finally unbricked my G920 Samsung Galaxy S6 with this
Thank you so much for this. I bricked my phone by stupidly flashing a 5.1 firmware and i've been scrambling to fix it for about a week now. And I couldn't find these files anywhere. Thank you so much

So your phone was on 5.1 and you went straight to 6.0.1 with this? No intermediate updates?

Flashed on mine (BOI2, 5.1.1) and it's stuck in the samsung galaxy s6 powered by android screen.
Already restarted to recovery and wiped cache partition and factory reset from there. Still stuck in boot screen...
Any help?
EDIT: Flashed all 4 files this time and it worked. Only flashed the AP file the first time (which people all over the internet say you only need to do) but I had to flash all 4 and now it works. Thank you!

You just need to load all 4 files up in Odin (AP, BL etc.) and click start.
Make sure your phone is in download mode.

That means they flashed the U firmware, which is for the carrier unlock. I can understand how you'd think that, though I'm running this firmware, too.

No, the kernel is not stock. You could possibly flash this with flashfire and after install, flash the eng kernel for t-mobile. It might work then.
Flashing with flashfire?? Anybody have tried yet??

If this possible without root? I read somewhere that OREO comes with new modified bootloader that doesn't allow to go back ? Anybody can offer a link to follow instructions?
Depends which version of Oreo you are on. What is your baseband number(firmware number) found in about phone.
See attached. Thx
And here is the baseband version that was on my phone prior to the update. I also downloaded it from Sam Mobile and tried to flash it with Odin but it failed.
Root has nothing to do with downgrading.
Your oreo bootloader version is 4, the nougat version you're trying to flash is 3. You can't downgrade.
And you won't find a v4 nougat firmware.
