Hi, I have a problem when I set a black wallpaper to my home screen. The top of my home screen is not completely blacked out like the rest of the display. The black is faded at the top.
However, when I look at an all black or dark wallpaper any other place like the gallery the screen is normal and completely blacked out. This faded black only exist when I set the wallpaper on the homescreen. It is also visible on the preview wallpaper screen.
Anyone know how to solve This?
Also noticed when I open the edge panel with a black/dark wallpaper the blur effect is a bit distorted.

whenever i apply some photo having a lot of black in it as my lock screen image..there seems to be some horizontal gray lines in it..but when i look the same image in the gallery the black is pure black (no horizontal gray lines at all)...is there any problem in the software only ? or is it something regarding the screen?
change the pic.
Use WidgetLocker. Problem gone.
the problem is the rom relatd only?????
The latest beanstalk (4.4+) offers a dark design _after_ it is started, but during boot there is a bright white screen. How can this be changed to a dark background?
Edit:
Is it possible to change the wallpaper while the pin is entered?
After a reboot I see a black screen now, but there is still the white screen at the beginning.
I noticed this gray gradient on the homescreen and recents with a black wallpaper and it's just really awkward to look at once you notice it. It becomes REALLY apparent if I increased to brightness. Is this just something tied with the System UI? Changing the launcher doesn't do anything and opening up a black wallpaper doesn't show these gradients. Maybe I'm just nitpicking.
Happened to me as well and figured it is because I have Cf. Lumen installed.
I have the same issue. This is my third S6 Edge with same problem. Tried multiple fixes with no luck. Can't use any dark wallpapers, anyone know how to fix?
I mean it's weird. You pick a beautiful wallpaper for your lock screen and then apply it and then you open the phone up to that lock screen image and it looks like someone put a heavy gray filter over your beautiful picture.
Why? -- and more importantly, is there any way to get your selected lock screen wallpaper to show up without this dark filtering?
Look at this video of the Pixel 4 XL review, specifically around the 14:46 mark;
https://youtu.be/IfjL_xGqHZE?t=886
He has the new Google live wallpaper Come Alive - Doodle, but this reviewer has it with the dark black background, but with the a white Google search widget at the bottom, and the wallpaper itself has little white squiggly tings, not the typical orange / brown squiggly things. And if I put the phone in white non dark theme, the wallpaper is then light, not black.
How do I set it like this?
