Tips on making your own:
A good way to know your image will be the right size is to download the TEMPLATE.jpg i have attacthed and work from that.
BE CAREFUL! using bright and full screen images MAY cause screen burn after long periods of usage, i highly reccomend you do not use full screen bright images unless they are dimmed or have a transparent/true black background.
!!Themers / Developers if you use my work in your projects that is fine but please add credits where appropriate!!

Huawei Mate 10
Edit: Updated 08.12.17
A version with no battery, but still with the date, would be awesome. I'm starting to become obsessed with battery percentage!
My S7 Edge AOD didn't display battery percentage if it was switched off in the notification bar, but the two settings don't seem to be linked on the Note 8.
Thanks!

Hey.
Let me explain how Samsung always on display works maybe this will help with the problem you are having.
Everytime you lock your device the AOD will display, Everytime you lock your device the AOD will change postion.
The clock can move up and down the screen and also side to side (slightly).
The reason it does this is to avoid screen burn.
This MOD replaces the background images you can use on the AOD
*Samsungs aod backgrounds are centered behind the clock so when the clock moves, the background will move with it*
Because the image moves with the clock we can not use a full screen image because if we did the image would either be cut off at the top or at the bottom of the screen depening on where the clock has moved to.
So the actual AOD image is about 3 quaters of the screen with a gap at the top and the bottom to allow for the clock moving up and down, this is why it is best to use backgrounds that dont have a color outline so you can not tell the difference ( so you will not be able to see these black bar gaps )
It is best to use a full black/transparent image, with your desired image inside the template area
The size of the background you are trying to replace with should be [ 430x794 ]
Hope this helped :good:
Ok. Everything you wrote is exactly than I have on my phone .... but .... I never seen my clock that low and now clock rise to the middle and not go in upper space on the screen.I have N8 almost one month and never see the clock is that low on screen.Earlier go from top of the screen to middle.
Now go from the middle to low part of the screen ..... is it strange or it's normal?

It is normal buddy. Thats just how Samsung's AOD works, this mod just changes the background image it won't change how the clock moves. It should change position everytime you lock your phone :good:
Ok, thanks man for everything. After 8 years first time I use wallpaper (and AOD) insted regulary one on phone.
I really like your work and idea.Thank you again!
P.S.
I cant wait to someone (Samsung) make adjusting time for rotating edge light when sms come .... I dont care about how much drain my batery, I just love that!!!
Yes, you think right .... I'm really sick man

I agree, it does make the clock lower. Before, it never moved away from the top quarter of the screen, now it always displays near the middle, or even lower down.
It's no big deal, just an observation.
By the way, how does the mod work with regards to receiving AOD updates from Samsung?

About Patches
Patch 8: Personalize icon is different than you see in screen shot (its as in original theme). I was little lazy to take screenshot and hence posting old screenshot.
Patch 19: To disable bullet hack use root explorer to delete tweaks.apk from /system/app folder and flash settings.apk, systemui.apk and framework-res.apk from main theme.
Patch 20: To disable this patch feature flash htcalbum.apk, htcmusic.apk and htcstreamplayer.apk from main theme.
Bullet hack tweaks: Pros - you will have many option which can be applied through settings->Tweaks. Cons - you will loose features available through settings->VU settings.
Note: Image for top transparent bar and clock with default flip is same.

Known Issues:
I have noticed that with the new transparent phone dialer background for some reason only shows as transparent for the first time that the phone app is opened!!!(if you close phone and reopen it for a 2nd time, it will be non-transparent) but after a reboot it is back to transparent..... not sure why, but I am already working on making it more permanent!!.... sorry about that ...lol....
If you are getting FC's with Weather Wallpaper, then Delete Data for all weather related items and then open weather and QUICKLY Press MENU => SETTINGS => The make sure that "Sound Effects" option has been disabled!!!!!! You have to do this very fast or it will FC on you... you may have to do it a few times to get the timing right, but it will work if you are fast enough.... if that doesn't work then go to "Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications -> All Apps, then go down to Weather and Clear Data on all items that start with the word "Weather".... doing either one of these things WILL solve this problem.... Weather Wallpaper works just FINE for me after doing this.............
No more that I am aware of, so please let me know if anything seems screwy to you guys.......Thanks...

the same problem :-(
Lot of work. Some problems on applications, but I have no doubt that this will be corrected.
To my taste, too much blue in the theme, I would have preferred a little more sober. just a matter of taste.

Contains:
Apollo (CM10)
AOSP Keyboard (stock)
Browser (stock)
Framework
People (contacts)
Phone
Settings
SystemUI
Trebuchet
Note: After applying the theme, a reboot may be required to make sure all changes go into effect, including the background and status bar (especially if it disappears on you entirely).
Color hex code (for any custom settings) : #FF0000 (#FFFF0000)
AOKP Users
Settings > Rom Control : No icons are themed. I originally based the update off CM10. I've been able to flash it and will be updating for AOKP-specific items soon (including the Rom Control icon in the home settings screen), just need some time to get everything situated for it
To make everything red, you have to manually set these options (until I find out if I can set them via the theme...)
Settings > Rom Control > Navigation Bar > "Navigation bar glow color" : change hex to #FFFF0000 > Set > [click the color in the right box just above where you entered the hex]
You don't need to change "Navigation bar color", I already did that, even though it looks white in settings
CircleMod images will be coming in the next update.
Battery Bar enabled? Same as the first bullet, change hex code to #FFFF0000
Toggles: Icon toggle style will be updated. Text toggle style : change "Toggle Text Color" and "Enabled Indicator Color" to hex : #FFFF0000
Stock Launcher will be updated as well.
If you see anything that I missed and did not cover in this list, please let me know!!
Issues / Soon to be Fixed
(AOKP) : Settings > Rom Control > Navigation Bar > Battery icon style > (Set to) Text Only : If you use this, it will be blue, because it changes depending on the charge status and level. Still looking in to whether I have power to change that via a theme. If not, it's something AOKP needs to change at the Rom level.
(Codename) : Volume Slider and Keyboard hide icon (Thanks Sardo Numspa!)
Big thanks to solarus2011 for the permission to use his style icon for my apps!

I've added special instructions to the OP for AOKP users, due to their customization settings. I'm looking to see if I can edit certain areas without the user having to go thru and set them up every time you flash a new theme, but in the mean time that's all I have.
I've also listed a few things that are not completely themed in AOKP, but an update will be coming soon addressing those missing pieces (mostly the Rom Control icon in settings, as well as all of the icons within the Rom Control area), and the stock Launcher (CM10 uses it's own "Trebuchet" launcher, I doubt it'll be too different though).
If you see any where else that isn't themed (that should be at this moment), please let me know! Screen shots are a huge plus!
Just flashed codename android and the things I've noticed are mostly in the email and gmail apps. Don't want to put a screenshot now due to all my private info on it.
Also, just a small item, the volume slider
Just spotted another one, in the bottom left corner, the down arrow to exit the keyboard

I'll give Codename a try, but I may not be able to if they use a different color style for that. I'll check it out Gmail and Email are not themed, so there will definitely be blue in there. The only reason theres red (or your screen shots, green) is because of they use android framework images when selecting, which are themed. That's why theres some overlap. And I'll get the Keyboard hide icon checked out too, not sure why their Rom is missing that but AOKP/CM10 work as they should (could just be a naming convention).
Thanks for the screens!
PS. Sardo, you know you posted a green screenshot in my Red theme thread, right??

Lol yea I just updated and posted in Green a few minutes ago. It only had one post so honestly I didn't know if anyone even installed it lol... It's all good though, I made a note of it in the OP (both)... maybe for this thread just taking out the green screens if you could, I'd appreciate it, to keep the confusion to a minimum
* In case I hadn't said it though, I do appreciate the screens and the info that I'm missing some aspects... There isn't enough time in the world for me to set up and test it on every Rom available lol. Thanks for posting all of it!

What's up ghoticov! I haven't tried, but I don't see why it shouldn't. Since you don't have to flash it, but apply it in Theme Chooser, it should work with any Rom that supports the Theme Chooser. If EOS does, then you should be good to go
Let me know if you see anything missing.

Perhaps I got a little bored when NotiCounter reached v1.0 and the ideas for new features ran out...
So, I started this little project aswell:
The NotiList Widget shows the latest (3 atm, to bad but scrolling widget is not possible) arrived notifications in a 4x4 widget, for now taping a widget shows the Text Message (Aka Line 2 in the widget)
If I manage I´ll try to launch the official Notifications app straight into the chosen message, or even better, manage to make it read (by the system) just by taping it. Don´t know if any of these goals are reachable though.
So what does the Gear community think? Shall I continue with this or am I just wasting my time?
I´ll release it anyway...
Note, This will probably merge into NotiCounter in the future, but if I release a beta I´ll keep em separated for now...

0.3b

- Refresh button shows "Refreshing..." during the resfresh.
0.4b

- Smoother toast message box witch covers more text.
0.5b

- Added a new widget with a total of 3 pages showing 2 notifications per page. Bigger text and easier to read.

Why is a scrolling widget not possible?
I use Simple Calendar Widget on my Gear and can scroll up and down through several days worth of events.
Or, do you mean auto-scrolling?
Manual scrolling is better anyway, IMHO.

I really like this idea ! Great proof of concept.
I would use this no doubt, this could even replace unread notification count, I would much rather use this.
SUGGESTIONS:
Configurable unread notifications or all notifications.
Configurable amount of notifications, for example the last 5.
Configurable border & text color.
Scrollable view.

Yeah the Gear itself supports it, no problem there.
Problem is I´m developing my apps with Basic4Android and it´s not supporting scrollable widgets.
Haven´t gotten the time to teach myself Eclipse yet so I stick with this for now

Yeah I´ll use this widget on one of my Home screens not mather what the community thinks
Just wanted to know how much work I would put on configurations.
I can manage the first three suggestions, but as I said above, scrollable widget is not possible atm.
Is the size good enough or should I make is bigger?

I think this should be a 320x320, although perhaps a few widget sizes could be considered also ?
Why is a scrollable view not possible ?
I always thought it was a matter of declaring elements in a scrollview tag.
This is for your consideration.

I´m aware of the Scrollview class, the whole config for NotiCounter is based on that. No problem to attach to an Activity. Problem is that it´s not possible to add an Scrollview to an Widget as it´s not supported by Basic4Android:
http://www.basic4ppc.com/android/forum/threads/scrollview-in-widget.34011/
There may be a chance to add this if I create the base in B4A and then decompile the genererated APK, import the source to Eclipse and change the necessary files. I´ll give it a shot.

Should be a matter of just editing the layout, does B4A support layouts etc ?
Is it the same file structure as android ? Or does it generate all of that for you ? Not familiar with B4A you see..
Regardless tho if you need a hand give me a yell.

Yes it supports layouts for both Activities and Widgets, however widgets only supports some viewtypes:
Widgets do not support all views types. The following views are supported:
- Button (default drawable)
- Label (ColorDrawable or GradientDrawable)
- Panel (ColorDrawable or GradientDrawable)
- ImageView
- ProgressBar (both modes)

So it´s got nothing to do with the actual layout.
The generated file uses the same file structure as APKs created by Eclipse, so if I reverse enginere the APK I should be able to import the source in Eclipse and add the scrolling afterwards..
Or maybe someone else can help us with it if I don´t pull that part off.

It will only fit on a full screen ie without dock and notification bar at top of screen (full system ui). Use nova to hide both.
I sometimes get a force close. It happened after I deleted all messages and pressed manual update.

True, I´we not added some check for how many items there is in the notification db yet. It purely just pick the last 6 items, if theres less than that, an FC will be the result.

Hello everyone! I've been posting some of my screens in the Home Screen Thread, but I've decided to make my own thread with all of my video game themes. I can provide some support for users looking to apply these and I am also looking to start taking some requests! I will update the thread as any changes are made and as I add new themes.
REQUESTS - If you wish to make a request for a specific video game, please do the following:
Request it here or PM me
Tell me which video game you want
Include any ideas of what you are looking for
Screenshots of specific items are appreciated
Keep in mind, it may take me a few days to make the theme as I often have to fiddle around in Photoshop and Zooper. I only get to work in Photoshop when I am not at work, which slows me down a little.
There are also some limitations to what I can or can't do. I will do my best to match your requests and to make it as perfect as possible, but I am only human
Let's get started!
What you will need to make these work:
Nova or another launcher (I am using 12x9 grid in Nova)
Zooper Widget Pro
Basic knowledge of Zooper (in case you need to move things around or adjust hotspots)
Final Fantasy 7 Theme

1) HP shows the time in 24 hour format. The bar becomes full as time passes closer to 2400.
2) MP shows battery life. The bar decreases as battery life goes down.
3) The limit bar shows storage space taken up on memory card. The bar increase as more storage is used.
4) The time bar displays days of the week. As the week progresses, the bar becomes more full (Full on Saturday, empty on Sunday).
5) Calls and Texts will both display the "pointer finger" when there is a missed call or unread text. It goes away when everything is read.
6) Sense is a hotspot that opens the internet browser.
7) Item is a hotspot that opens the App Drawer.
8) Everything on the bottom can be changed to whatever you want. There are rectangle hotspots that can be configured, just change the text to your liking.
9) I do have hotspots setup on HP to open the Alarm/Clock, on MP to open battery usage, on Limit to open Storage and on Time to open the calendar.

Fall 3 Pipboy 3000 Theme
This is composed of 3 widgets, the top, middle (Vault boy) and bottom.
There are tons of hotspots to configure to your liking. Here is a brief overview of what each element is.
PHN, SMS, EML (Phone, SMS and Email). Will show a box around each item when you have missed calls, texts or emails (In this example a call was missed).
HP - Battery life
AP - Day of Month/Days in Month
XP - Time in 24 hour format/2400 (hours in Day)
Vault Boy Widget:
Above his head will show next alarm time (or "Not Set" if no alarm is set)
Progress bars (Top left: Day of week, will get filled as week goes on - Top right: If Alarm is set, it is full, if not it will be empty - Bottom Left: Memory bar showing how much memory is left on SD card - Middle: Battery life bar)
Vault boy Level: Shows date
All of these can get reconfigured in Zooper to show whatever you want, you just need to edit them.
Bottom:
Pretty self explanatory, these are app shortcuts. All of them have pretty large hotspots.
I made a lot of the hotspots pretty big so they are easy to click and there is plenty of hotspot space around the text even if you are not accurate.

Halo HUD Theme
This one took a while, each one of those lines on the hud (every bend) is an individual layer and it took a lot of patience to get this right.
1) The grenades are missed texts (frag grenade) and calls (plasma grenade). There are hot spots to launch the application you want.
2) The health bar displays battery life and a hotspot is available to launch battery use.
3) The ammo counter displays the hour of the day in military time and the ammo will increase as the day goes on. Once again, hotspot is available.
4) The radar has a hotspot setup to launch maps.
5) "Radio" has a hotspot ready to launch a music app.
6) "Cortana" has a hotspot setup to launch a web browser.
Each of the hotspots are located at the bottom of the layer list with their corresponding name.
There may have been a little more I could do with this one, but it wore me out with all those damn lines. I'm very happy with it.

1) Heart battery bar (hearts decrease in 10% increments. The heart with the white line will show at 90%, 80%, etc and the empty heart will show at 80%, 70% when the heart with white lines moves to the next heart.)
2) Clock is displayed as a rupee count
3) Quests shows next 2 calendar events
4) When there are unread SMS messages, the bag will display with a rupee in it (right screen shot) and when all are read it will display an empty bag (left screen shot)
5) When there are missed calls, a broken sword will show (right screen shot) and when there are no missed calls a full sword will show (left screen shot)
6) Shield is there to complete the look, does not change
7) Icons are the following apps going from top down to the right (SMS, App Drawer, Facebook, Alarm/Clock, Browser, Banking App, Maps, Phone)

This is comprised of 2 widgets. The top widget is the "status" that contains the top nav bar, condition, equip etc. The bottom widget is everything else. The top widget needs to take up about 1/4 of the screen and the bottom widget should be a full screen widget.
Nifty things this widget does:
-The condition changes from Fine to Caution to Danger depending on battery level (below 50% changes to Caution and below 25% changes to Danger).
-The bottom info screen will display the message "Would you like to read your text message? Yes/No" when you have an unread text. There is a hotspot over "Yes" that you can set to launch your SMS app.
-The inventory on the right side can be set to launch whatever apps you want. The herbs are SMS/Calls/Gmail in that order. Unread or missed will display the count.
-Each inventory item is a PNG, so you can set the actual PNG as whatever hotspot you want (I did the film as the camera, herbs are their respective app, gear as settings, the gem as banking and the lighter as the torch)
-The bar at the top has hotspots ready to go for whatever you want to set them as. The last one is a clock.
-The middle info screen displays next 3 calendar events and free RAM and storage. Hotspots are there to launch your apps.
Wallpaper is a blue background, but is needed to complete the look. Wallpaper and files are here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/vvkqsuip31k2ysg/AACxVfDRS2dCXM_Thfhy3pN0a

Thank you! I really appreciate it. I'm hoping as I add some more (I'm currently planning a Resident Evil one) that the thread will gain a small following.

Did they make a video game out of that? If so, I'll look into it and see if it is something I can do

There is a really good Super Mario theme floating around here or MyColorScreen somewhere, so I'm going to leave that one alone. However, FF9 sounds like fun. I'll have to look at some Crash Team Racing screen shots and see what I can do. These generally work better with games with inventory screens or expansive menus/customization screens like RPGs.
Updated OP on 5/29/14 with the Assassin's Creed Animus Theme!
Also, I will be on vacation for the next 2 weeks. I'll work on some new stuff when I get back. I'm thinking FF9 as @aldiandrew requested and maybe a Watch Dogs theme.

How about a Bioshock theme? These are excellent!
How did this thread not get a huge following? This is some quality work, absolutely loving the FF7 theme in particular!
Look forward to seeing your future projects
Is this zooper file still available somewhere?
This is dope! ****ing awesome! Amazing job but sadly link is dead! Can u re up please!

Hi, is there any way you could put the download links back up? I would love to try these themes out
Resident Evil 2 Theme Dropbox Link is Broken! 404 not found
Damn late but would love that final fantasy theme.
Gutted i'm late to this thread. Would really have loved that FFVII widget. Anyone on here have a copy of it they're willing to share? The creators links are dead
Do you use widgets frequently? Are you maybe tired of having to go to the home screen just to take a quick glance at your inbox? You could just open the widget's app, but then you have to wait for the app to open and load.
Widget Drawer aims to take care of this convenience issue by adding a way for you to access your widgets from nearly any app or screen.
When enabled, Widget Drawer will add a handle to the side of your screen. Simply swipe that handle inward and you will be presented with an area to add widgets. This handle will stay on the screen whether you're on the home screen, browsing the internet, or reading a book.
Widget Drawer also provides certain customization options for the drawer itself:
Change the height of each widget
Set whether a widget should take up 1 or 2 columns in width
Reorder widgets
Choose whether or not widgets should have an opaque background
The handle has a few options as well. It can be moved vertically or even to the other side of the screen by long-pressing it and then dragging. The size and color can even be personalized from within the app itself.
Widget Drawer makes use of the following permissions:
SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW
- Used to show the drawer over other apps
VIBRATE
- Used to provide haptic feedback for certain actions
FOREGROUND_SERVICE
- Used to start a foreground Service to keep Widget Drawer running
BIND_APPWIDGET
- Used to host the widgets
INTERNET
- Used by Firebase to track crashes and gather logs

Just bought the app, it's a great idea.
However, some widgets could not be found (eg. Greenify). Please check.
Also, please add the function to close the panel by clicking on empty space.
Thanks.
Good idea! I'm currently building a widget myself so it's nice to see people embracing widgets more (And see that it also works with your app yay).
Small suggestion already. Can the handle color be transparant? Should be just a small use alpha = true or something in the color picker. (I'm familiar with the library)
I could not get it to work right, I'm on Oreo 8.1, I got refunded. I am interested so I'll try it again once it comes out of beta.

It'll only come out of beta if bug reports tell me exactly what's wrong.

What do you mean by "not found"?
Great app! Have been looking for something like this for a very long time.
It would be nice if side triggers could be disabled and you can add a shorcut to access the widgets. That way triggers can be assigned to gestures for some of us that use gestures apps
Maybe you can check this discontinued-app functionality, in order to improve yours

OMG! You are fast, bro! As a suggestion, aesthetically would be better if bottom toolbar only appears when the app is open (so widgets aspect can only be edited by acessing the app), and make it go away when the drawer is being accessed either by triggers or shortcuts.
Also the transition from opened drawer to closed drawer when tapping and empty space, has some lag.
Would be possible an option to remove padding?
Thanks for this app!

Cool man, thanks for the fast update!
Another suggestion, please allow 4 icon widgets (shortcuts) in a row.
As you can see one icon is taking up 2 columns at the moment, that's wasting space if you ask me.

Nice idea, this will give the app a cleaner look.
As for landscape mode, if it gets supported, please make it optional.

I can either make each widget span a single column or span all of them. So if the division were four, it would be 1/4 width or full width. Intermediates aren't possible.
First of all, thanks for this useful app, it was exactly what I was looking for, tried a few other before this 1 but they didn't quite work how I wanted.
I have a few suggestions I hope you would consider adding as options in the settings.
1. A scroll bar, I have a few scrolling widgets (e.g. flamingo for twitter), so I need to make sure I use the widget header to scroll through your app.
2. A full immersive setting or a way to minimise/toggle your bottom bar.
3. This ones not essential but would be nice to swipe left or right to close your widget drawer.
On a final note, even though it's working great, I really hope you continue to develope this app, and if it helps to motivate development I think you should consider adding a donate option, since the app price is so low.
Many thanks

1. A persistent scrollbar is a good idea.
2. I've been thinking of ways to allow hiding the toolbar. I guess a small trigger button in the bottom right that is pulled or tapped could work.
3. I'm not sure how well this would work. I'm already doing a lot of hacky stuff just to have scrolling work properly (normally, even non-scrollable widgets would block the overall scroll).
I don't have any plans to stop development for the time being. The price is actually more of a "stop and think sort of thing." I don't want people blindly downloading the app and then getting mad at me because they didn't read the description and thought it was something else.
I'm glad you like the app so far!
This app is great and has amazing utility! I bought it right away when I seen this thread. So far everything is working great except I can't resize the Google keep widget. My other widgets resize perfectly but keep will move up or down instead of resizing. Thank you for the awesome app!

Somehow I can't have the app run at boot complete. I have white listed the app from all battery saving apps and doze. I don't know if it's just me or someone else is also having this issue, but please check. Thanks.
