That's right when you flashing a new firmware, it's will cover the old things. but if you want to have a good results, before. You flashing a new firmware, you need to daily *2767*3855# refresh your phone and clear the data.

[Q] Rooting The O4X-Questions

So I'm getting my phone shipped now and was wondering a couple things about rooting. I've rooted many times on previous android devices but none were as locked down as the O4X... I already looked at rooting guides here on xda for the device but i was wondering will i be able to root on any O4X firmware or is there a specific one you can root? For Ex: v10c, v10d etc... or can all firmware #s be rooted? Also if i root on stock fw and get the OTA RootKeeper app and then update will i maintain root?
V10a, b, d, e and f can be rooted if I remember well. Even the V10g beta can be rooted.
Root goes away when flashing through the kdz updater.
Factory reset doesn't delete root. I don't know what an OTA update does with root, but I think root was kept anyways. If root disappears after an OTA, just root again. If that fails, rollback to an older FW with the kdz updater and root again
Rooting for the LG is quite simple, but be sure the phone it's USB mode is in Charge Only. And factory reset after root is advised.
If you brick the phone, reflashing it with kdz updater is easy.

Help rooting?

Hello all,
Im totally confused as to how to go about rooting my device c6902. Ive owned a couple of android devices and Ive rooted them all, however....with this device and there seem to be different ways people have rooted from reading the threads and im totally confused, So far I have unlocked the bootloader, and upgraded the device OTA to lollipop .242 (before the bootloader was unlocked), I dont intend installing any custom firmware, just want root so I can use TB and maybe delete a few bloatwares with root explorer and use xposed.
Im confused as to whether:
1. I have to downgrade firmware to kitkat, just to get root, then upgrade back to official firmware?
2. Ive been under the impression that a custom recovery and supersu, is enough to get root. It doesnt work that way on this device?
3. I saw some oneclick root programs that worked on the z1 compact would any work here
Just trying to know more about the phone and understand, so any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Using the guide on the link I just posted, you are not required to unlock the bootloader, unlocking the bootloader without backing up the TA partition can cause problems with your phone.
You need to downgrade to KitKat 4.4.4 with kernel 108, then root it with easyroot install supersu and rootchecker to make sure your phone is rooted, the use NUTs recovery to create a recovery partition, after that search XDA forums for a pre-rooted lollipop flashable zip and install that, and voila you should be on lollipop with root and recovery.
I am not sure about one-click root programs.

Thanks for your help.
I already unlocked the bootloader though. Do I need to downgrade the whole kitkat rom or flash just the kernel? thanks
Figured out. Thanks

Huawei P9 EVA-l09 Problem with root.

Hello everyone, i have a Huawei P9 EVA-l09
and when I try to do the root tells me "poot has Caused a serious error and can not continue", why?
Any solutions?
Thanks all.
What do you use to root?
I use Poot.
I don't think you can use Poot to root. You first need to unlock the bootloader to root. I highly suggest you to root your phone by installing TWRP then flash SuperSU zip.

[Help] Need help with Magisk

Hi, so i want to root my phone but i still want to pass SafetyNet. So i found the systemless Magisk root. But i am a bit cofused on how to get it.
I have a stock LG G3. No Custom Recovery, no root and locked bootloader.
So if i want Magisk could i root my phone with someting like Kingroot (It is the easiest way that i found) then get TWRP with the TWRP official app from the app store, then unroot the phone and flash the latest magisk with TWRP?
Will i still pass SafetyNet even though i rooted with Kingroot? Will i have to factory reset the phone in the process? (I don't want to lose my data)
Please help me. Thank you a lot.
