If I install say.. Nova and set it as main launcher, does TW still run in the background or use resources ? Would I need to disable it ? Does it even matter ? Please excuse my ignorance.

is it better to change to go luncher?
or download a softwear which creates folders? (to many icons in manu screen really need some way to orginize them)
p
its your personal decision what you like
frogot to write that i mean in terms of speed
i heard that go luncher takes alot more ram then adw, so i was wondering what would be faster
adw + folder app
go luncher
Hi!
It's the first time that I'm writing in the Galaxy S section, so sorry if this problem is well-known or the question is stupid. A search didn't reveal anything useful...
A friend of mine has the I-9001 with latest value pack (XXKQG) and she wants to change the order of her apps in the stock launcher, but whenever she customizes the order and saves it, the sorting eventually changes back to alphabetical after some time or after a reboot. Does someone experience similar problems? Is there any fix besides using other launchers?
Cheers

nope, I can only think of using of another launcher or if you want the TW launcher then you may try the modded TW launcher from here. if some one has done it for S+.
Hey guys, I love Nova launcher and wanna keep using it, but I really want to change the AppDrawer background.
Yes I know I can set it to be transparent - but I dont want that.
I want one background for the home screen and another one for the AppDrawer.
Did anyone ever do that ?
I think that will be hard to do unless you decompile the apk and whatnot. I would recommend you to go to the Nova thread and request it there. If people want it, it may get implemented in the future.
Hi All, this might be a dumb question but: If I install Nova, do I have to delete everything that came stock on the Sony launcher, like Movies, PlanyStation etc...all of the icons, widgets, etc... or do I leave them and just start new with Nova? Does that make sense? I just dont want to switch to Nova and all these widgets, icons etc from Sony still 'running' somewhere in the background. Thanks!

hahaaha a second me!
I was wondering the same thing, just for the sake of it I always remove all the icons that are on the stock launcher. Because if you think of it, it's not as if you turn the other launcher off, you're just using another one. And the difference probably won't be amazing, but it could count towards a better battery life lol. Or maybe we're just paranoid :silly::silly::good:
Thanks, ill do the same and remove them off Sony...no reason to have them out there
You don't have to remove anything from stock launcher. It won't run in the background. You can setup how many different launchers you want and switch between without that effecting battery.
Launchers like Nova don't mess with apps at all. They simply create a new skin -- a new way of seeing and accessing what's already on the phone. All the same Sony apps will still be there in the app drawer and they'll behave in exactly the same way as they would if you were using the Xperia Launcher or any other launcher (although Nova might change some of the icons for system apps like dialer, messaging, settings etc.). And if you uninstall apps through Nova they're uninstalled from the phone, period. So they will not be there even if you revert back to the Xperia Launcher.

Great info, ty!
I'm presently disabling services and packages with adb on my x2. I have Nova launcher installed as my default launcher. I'm thinking of disabling the default huawei stock launcher. Is it safe to disable while Nova is the default launcher?
Lets say I do and something goes wrong in the future where Nova doesnt boot, is there a way to enable usb debugging in the phone since there'd be no launcher present?
have the same question. I'm on chinese version and dont have the choice of using another launcher as the default launcher. wondering if i disable stock launcher, will it default to the only available launcher (nova)

Yeah why can't the Chinese version change stock launcher? Can we switch from Chinese?
Chinese version of Huawei phones only allow stock launcher I guess coz they are gathering data. Not just an issue on mate x2. If I can sort this and get tasker working to turn aod on only when a notification comes in then it's the perfect phone for me!
I actually can disable the stock launcher. I tried it and got Nova to be my only launcher. But i wanna know in case I boot up my phone and Nova doesnt come up, is it possible to enable usb debugging somehow on the phone since there'd be no launcher present?

Did anyone successfully get Nova installed as the default launcher, and if so, could you please provide instructions.
