xposed cause overloop problem in miui 8.5.3.0 - Xiaomi Mi 5 Questions & Answers

I have tried xposed in latest global build miui 8.5.3.0(NAAMIED) stable. But it causes overloop problem. I flashed xposed sdk24(coz its7.0) with twrp. Even I tried with magisk. Every time I face overloop problem. It just stay forever in boot screen. Is there any solution to install xposed in this particular miui ROM?

miui is too different from aosp, it probably will never work or there has to be a special version made.

Xposed by Solarwarez not working on MIUI Developer rom

Hello everyone I didn't know where to post this topic so I'm posting it over here. I recently upgraded my Redmi 3s phone from 7.5.11 to 7.6.7 The update went fine but as soon as I flashed the xposed zip file the phone went into bootloop. I flashed the uninstaller and the phone is fixed now. I then tried flashing xposed on other versions of the developer ROM and the issue still persists on all of them. I tried contacting Solarwarez but he doesn't seem to be online. So is there anyone who can please fix the issue ?
Thank you...

It's already disabled. And the bootloop is caused only on the latest developer roms. And yes the room is based on marshmallow. Is there anyway you can help us @rovo89 ?

so no stable custom rom for note 5 SM-N920T ?

so i bought note 5 SM-N920T which was already on android 7 latest firmware according to sammobile website.
and there are only handful of custom roms (not stocked based but those which occur in original android development).
and all of them have serious issues,
like lineageOs 14.1 has no audio in call, battery drain issues, flash light issue, doesn't take images in dark somehow flash work when you take image but the end image is dark. etc.
and others also have similiar issues.
My requrements for a rom are following.
1. no matter stock based or not, it should have root and MUST SUPPORT ENCRYPTION after root (no matter if i have to flash any kernel or do any gymnastics, i am willing to do it to get to this requirement.
2. it should be fully stable, atleast all basic features should be stable like phone calling, sms, bluetooth, wifi, and others which are necessary for a daily life smart phone.
well that is all because i have xposed in my requirement but xposed is not available for 7 yet so leave it out.
now let see.
stock based custom roms (those i checked) does not support encryption after you root them, and if you encrypt them before rooting, then because their encryption method is such that TWRP don't mount data, so root is impossible after encryption, even i tried that magisk trick of cache workaround, it does not work. after i flash magisk to an encrypted rom, when i get to the point of entering password for encryption, rom says there has been some integrity issues with encryption and you can no longer decrypt, you have to reset the device to factory.
and if i root a stocked based rom before encrypting then they don't encrypt at all.
then there are custom roms like lineageOS. they support encryption with root and their encryption method is also supported in TWRP.
BUT
they are not stable to use as a daily driver.
so can anyone please tell me how can i achieve my requirement on note 5 SM-N920T ? any rom? any kernel / rom combinations ? anything?
or should i sell my note 5 and buy a better device?
thank you for your answers in advance.
Actually PurifyOS has an unofficial Xposed port that works just fine for the 920T, I've been using it for a month. When I flashed Lineage the flashlight and in-call audio worked just fine. Battery drain wasn't very noticeable, but every time the screen turned off while I listening to music my viper and Dolby apps stopped processing.
There's a very stable rom that has very close to stock battery drain, it's the Khongloi S8+ rom in this forum.
buy a better,newer device

i don't know how is that possible that i have many issues and you don't have them, i am on latest firmware / bootloader QG3 on my SM-N920T. and i flashed cleanly LineageOS 14.1 on it with or without root and without any kernel. still i have all the issues with flashlite, music app, camera dark images, mic not working in calls initiated by me and also on internet calls, and very high battery drain with only one app that is Conversations.
can you tell me which lineageOS version are you using? i am using 14.1 from following link.

have you tried it? does device encryption work with having a root?
https://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/xposed-android-nougat-sdk-25-arm64-t3639221
There's the thread for xposed. If you have the latest firmware release from T-Mobile, I'm pretty sure Lineage won't flash over that bootloader. I had to roll back my bootloader to flash it, but Rayman fizzled the problems you were explaining in his second release for the 920T.
As for re-encrypting a device with root I have no never done it. I enjoy flashing roms and custom kernels so once I break encryption and DM-Verity on my devices I leave them that way. I'm pretty sure, don't quote me though, that with supersu you cannot restore encryption while you're rooted. I don't Magisk so you may want to look into that. Hope this helps bro.

xposed error

Hi everyone xposed for nougat is finally here, i tried to install it but i'm facing an error. Xposed installer tells me the framework is installed but inactive, i don't know what to do. Anybody managed to install it with success ?
I'm on latest xiaomi.eu by the way
Hi, I had the same problem, and I solved installing the 3.1.2 version of xposed installer apk.
I have the same version installed. Which rom are you using and what process did you do to install xposed?
I'm on LOS 14.1, i've unistalled first the wrong version and then reflashed zip and installed the right version of apk.
Ok so my problem must come from miui thx

If I remember correctly, back in the marshmallow days there was a modified xposed framework specifically made for miui by a fellow named solarwarez. The stock xposed never worked for me on miui, only his version. Maybe he will do the same for the new version, you could try to search the forums.

Best rom for Redmi 4X?

I just bought a Redmi 4X and it's running MIUI.
For those who has the phone for more time already and experience. Which rom is the best for Redmi 4X in terms of performance/free ram and batery life?
MIUI? Lineage? Ressurection Remix? Other?
Use MIUI Pro/Xiaomi.EU For Best Battery Backup and Much Personalized Option in addition to MIUI.
For stock Experience, You should go for RR Official or Many Users Reports ViperOS have got them the best Battery Backup and Performance is also Good. Try Dot.OS too
I have tried some custom roms, but somehow I always end coming back to miui. For custom roms I really like mokee and the last unofficial AEX with f2fs support (I think official RR should be almost the same but right now I don't want to flash again). The problem with mokee is xposed and safety net. And AEX it feels so smooth, but after some days I noticed a drop in performance, speaking about games like asphalt Xtreme, but if you don't play games then you should be fine. Right now I'm with miui global dev 7.12.21 debloated and clarity 1.8 kernel, and I'm getting really nice battery backup without any loss in performance.
Oh and for miui, I think the best it's miui eu. But I recommend to install the 7.12.21 build. The most recent versions have bugs with notifications and camera2api. Multi pro should be good too, because if I'm not mistaken it's based on global dev, so it's already debloated and has the new notification shade.

I'm new to the Redmi 4X XDA thread here, any you tell me what's going on with this Encryption bug in TWRP ?
I've just unlocked bootloader using Mi Unlock tool and wanted to install TWRP and root to backup and then Flash RR Rom .
Do i also have to face this encryption bug as well as everyone is talking about in twrp threads ? (I've not enabled any type of encryption in MIUI. Settings are same as factory new MIUI version and use simple PIN as screen lock)
Which TWRP version should i use to have completely bug free experience ?

MIUI encrypted out of the box.
I'm on TWRP 3.1.1-0
All you have to do in order to decrypt:
Boot into TWRP recovery
Wipe
Wipe data
Format data (it will ask you to type "yes")
**You'll lose every single data in your device, so you better make a backup of your wanted files**
Make sure to disable dm verify before you boot into system (even if you just flash new ROM and GApps):
Boot into TWRP recovery
Advance
Tools
Disable dm
Cheers

Question Is there no OS that really stable for this phone?!

I've tried MIUI 12 and 13, they're both trash!! There must be some shortage for each version!! Even the last version of MIUI 12!! Come on Xiaomi!!
Actually I like the hardware, but the OS???!!!
Any body could give me a suggestion for which OS is the most stable??
MMX custom rom, debloated, still based on MIUI
i m Wait pixel experience stock rom without root.
If u want performace, i will suggest oxygen os or if u have a low end phone, you can try roms of other devices having same chipset as yours. but u need to modify them a bit.
MIUI is terrible, yeah.
I recently switched to PixelExperience GSI and it's pretty good.
Auto brightness is a bit finicky and logging into your Google account can be annoying if you use SMS for 2FA, because SMS don't work by default (it's just one switch in settings).
But there are no crashes and it's way less buggy than stock.

GSIs (Generic System Images) are universal for all devices supporting Treble. All devices released with Android 9 and later are required to support it.
"Classic" ROMs are built for specific device only.
Here's a guide on how to install one:
How to install custom roms (GSI) 11T > Pro
How to install a gsi onto your Mi 11t > Pro This will wipe your phone and I'm not responsible for any bricked device's. you can always go back to stock and try again. Clean install suggested! 1.0 Start with downloading things Latest...

I´m having crashes and reboots like every hour since I got MIUI 12.5
Does anyone else have this problem?
Would you recommend to flash the firmware again or to go with a Custom Rom?

Never had this problem with this version.
Try to reset the phone.
Flash firmware with Miflash.
Flash a Xiaomi EU rom.
Waiting for paranoid for 11tpro, as of now magisk is not working normal so switched to Stock OS
If I were you, I prefer flash custom rom like: Xiaomi.EU
Much more stable!!
