Does anyone know where I can get a version of the Roboto font that will install on the Note 8?
I've tried the iFont app from the Play Store and an old .apk that someone at XDA created for the Note 4 but both just give the error "Font not compatible".
The only fonts I could manage to get to work on the N8 were the one that I had to buy from the Samsung app store. Nothing else worked.

I don't know if anyone else is using this, but it looks great with the Droid 3's resolution. http://i.min.us/jiTtAoqDalOeF.zip
This is not flashable, I just pulled the 4 Roboto.ttf's and put them in a .zip. I applied them with Font Changer.

I see 4 ttf files in the zip, but Font Changer only recognizes 3 of them. Am I missing something?

I only applied 3 fonts as well, I suppose one of them probably isn't compatible with our phones. I haven't noticed any continuity issues though. The font seems to have applied system wide for me. I think the one it doesn't recognize is bolditalic.

That works too.
Font Installer
Font Installer includes roboto in it's selection list. Not sure if it includes all the varieties though (italic, etc.) The font does look good on the phone.
Thanks looks great!
Thank you very cool!
Droid-Life CWM.zip gets [Error 0] when I try to flash it.
I used Font Installer to install it though.
Only feature of ICS that I didn't like is Roboto font. ATM I am using Sony Sketch font, fits the description of "Droid" IMO.

I'm going to second this vote. I tried the Roboto font and it looked a little too Comic Sans for my taste. I had Sony Sketch way back when on a Sony Ericsson W580i, then on my DX, and now on my D3. I like how it's clean and punctual. Just looks good IMO.

Roboto is great my only issue is you cant tell the difference when something is bold or not. Makes using gmail a little harder.

Here is it!
Just download the fantasy theme from samsung theme store and replace the original apk with this (data/app/ minuhome.fantasy.appicon-2/) ,delete the not necessary folders (minuhome.fantasy.phone ....contacts....etc) and voila!
The picture show what folders i keep from fantasy theme.
Is it even possible? I've tried to use the FlipFont Emoji Font but I get the "unauthorized font" error even when using another app to inject the font like iFont even the donated version. Is there any way to change them to the iPhone Emojis or even the EmojiOne? The Samsung ones just don't look close to the other ones and it's a big annoyance! Thanks in advance.

Well...kinda. if you use something like Textra, you can pick from several different ones. Otherwise.....no. sucks.

Same here.
I don't want to lose my warranty yet and I just don't like stock sammy emojis.
I've tried a lot of play store's font changers, no one worked.

You can just download this app from the Play Store HERE and create your own dark theme. I posted an example of the one I made HERE where I themed notifications, keyboard, etc. You can check the OP of that thread too for more information about the app.
you can download substratum from play store

Yes indeed. I reboot my device after applying any theme just to be on the safe side and wipe cache.

Yes Andromeda is required and costs. The one I suggested above does not (unless you want to theme some very small, particular, things) and allows you to customize everything yourself easily, including most of your apps. Plus, with Substratum, on Oreo, you have to run ADB commands on your computer to get it to work. With the Theme Galaxy app you just make your theme, install it, then apply it like a normal theme in Samsung themes. Also, the regular Samsung themes in the theme store do not usually theme notifications and many other areas of the system ui like the theme apps do.

Who said root? I'm not rooted. You don't need root because it creates themes to use in the Samsung themer. Do what you like though.

eh I'm fine with the samsung themes right now. I just wanted a black theme to save more battery.
I'm using swift installer. Worth of buying. The best so far. You can choose the color of your backgrounds and accent yourself. Modify black notification panel, etc. Try it. You'll love it.

I actually tried my own dark theme and love it.. Except most times a pop up to say delete a message would have all the options black as well.. And I have to guess where it is...I can't for the life of me figure out which setting it is. LoL
no problems with samsung themes here.
