I have a bug with China Telecom Sim.
When I use China telecom Sim, I can't call numbers.
So i change to CDMA/EVDO,and it works well.
But there is a new option appear called "Operator settings" (sorry for google translate,English is not my main language).
When i press this, the phone goes FC. And system UI restart.
And this bug only occurs when i put the SIM card in card 1.
Change China Telecom Sim's Preferred network type from "LTE***" to "Global", and then reboot. The problem will be fixed.

Hi I have a Nokia 8 (TA-1004) which is dual sim.
I have a 3 sim and a plus net sim installed.
When I select the default sim for data it works, same for messaging.
BUT when I open the selection for calls i cannot change it from "ask every call" to either of the sims though it looks like it should be possible.
Anyone come across this before? what is the answer? phone is latest OTA updates.
Nokia 8 not permitting selection of preferred sim for calls
Hello I have exactly the same problem as described below by Pontprennau. Also on a Nokia 8 (TA-1004) in the Network & Internet screen under "SIM cards" and then "Calls". Setting preferred sim for sms and data are permissable for both Sim 1 and Sim 2, but setting the preferred sim for calls is not permissable and continuously force-defaults back to the "Ask every Time".
Can't imagine that the network provider has anything do with this problem though ie whether it is a T-Mobile, 3 or any other network.
If any information/resolution on this are available would be much appreciated. I have the latest OTA updates provided by Nokia/HMD Global.
Thanks

I had same problem in Oreo, but Pie update fixed it.
Sim selection option available in call settings not in sim settings
I saw something a bit odd here. It says here on specs that secondary sim only supports voice but from what I know is that both SIM cards support data. Is there something wrong here? Do both sim slots not support data? To the best of my knowledge with this phone you can have two SIM cards and use data on both of them allowing you to download two WeChat apps and have two numbers for each WeChat account on one smartphone. Is this not the case now?? See link from HK below and look at the bottom of the specs page for supported bands on SIM card tray.

Hi
I don't have a second SIM handy but looking at the settings you set the phone with a default SIM for calling and a default for data. Makes sense you would have to do this. So outbound calls and default use of data is pushed through either SIM. Don't know if that helps....
Found a SIM and popped this in. I now have another option enabled which says switch data connection between calls. So the option moves the data to SIM 2 when taking a 4g call on SIM 1....
Dual SIM options
Single SIM only in Canada VOG-L04 model.
I am not able to change network from automatic to manual for sim slot 1, however it works for the sim slot 2.
At present I am using two sims on my phone.
When I use a custom rom, the phone freezes and restarts everytime I change network from automatic to manual. However with stock rom/ Xiaomi.eu rom, network disappears and reappears again after 5 sec but it doesn't freeze and restart.
The problem is very specific to the sim slot 1 and I have tired swapping sim cards.
Both the sim cards works perfectly in the sim slot 2.
When I travel from one state to another or when I am in a low network area phone restarts randomly.
Could this be a radio firmware issue?? or a hardware issue. I've searched everywhere, but haven't found any solution.
Hi team,
This is a Global Mi 9T Pro, Miui 10.3.2, bootloader is not unlocked.
LTE 4G works, however no "voice over" - it reverts to 3G for voice calls.
*#*#86583#*#* results in "the number you have called is not connected", using both SIM 1 and SIM 2, have tried 2 different SIMs that show "VoLTE" on Reno Oppo Z and GS8. 4G switcher app shows "VoLTE not provisioned". Any suggestions on how to enable VoLTE? I have tried a factory reset once...
Thanks
(I can't add links - it's on imgur slash YFFWVNu )
use activity launcher (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.szalkowski.activitylauncher) to get into modem configuration. switch it to something that works for you

I'm in Brazil carrier Tim, unfortunately there's no specific MBNLoader file for this carrier, so I selected the generic Brazil MBNLoader, it wasn't enough to turn ON VolTE in calls though, it reverts back to 3G or 2G
any other ideas?
PS found a post on another forum that says the Malaysian MBNLoader will be fully compatible with the carrier TIM on Brazil. I tried it and it worked perfectly, now I have VolTE. GG

If you are "roaming", does it switch by it self to proper MBNLoader? (if my question make any sense?)

I think what you're asking is if the MBNLoader changes automatically depending on geolocation or when a new SIM card is inserted. TBH I don't know. But if I would have to guess I'm guessing it is a setting that you select when turn on the device for the first time, and that remains selected even if you insert a new SIM card. Lemme know if i've misinterpreted your question.
