I am using a 64 Gb exynos version in India and tried with mulitple operator SIM cards, but when I am in-call there is a crackling sound if talking at highest volume. Does anyone else have or experience this problem?
When I reduce the sound to 80% the crackling noise goes away.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I don't want to be stuck with a broken device for which I spent a fortune.
p.s. - I am talking about inbuilt earpiece (on front of screen next to front camera) and not loudspeaker at the bottom of the phone.
Most likely a defective speaker, claim warranty

Okay guys, hello to all!
I have the same problem as SergeyBE told here:2-3 month ago I got installed "IncreaseVol.cab", it's was better sound during the call, but twoo weeks ago it's beginning rattling and noising. Now I can hear just durring the call just if I push the button "Speaker", if I play mp3, it's sounds like it have to be.
So my speaker (which one when I listening to someone during the call) so it blowed up Yeah, there is noise and really bad bad sound But that speaker which is for when phone is ringing or listening to the music works fine after the boost! Now my phone is repairing but I want to increase a ring volume and volume when listening to the music (or watching video) without increasing volume parametres for the speaker which is working during the call!
So can anyone help me here? Does anybody here have original audiopara3 file with increased only Ring volume and Multimedia volume? or can somebody here make it for me? thanks a lot in advance
so nobody here can help me?!!
really maybe you know what parameters do I need to change for boosting only ring speaker?
I think i have the same problem. After playing with some roms, especially the udk syrius HD rom (beta 4 and 5) wich boost the volume - i now have troubles with the speaker during a phone call.
The strange thing is:
- they hear me fine; so the mic is not the problem.
- if i use a bluetooth carkit, the reception is fine. No noise in the call.
- if i play music or watch youtube, the speakers are fine.
- but if i make a call, i get noise to a terrible extend that i can hardly understand what the other site is talking about.
yeah the same and I had - so you need only to change the speaker
but I don't now what to do now - I don;t want to blow my speaker again, so I wanna just an audiopara3 file to boost ring volume and that is all
If you are talking about German O2 Xda Daimond (like mine), I had the same problem after month of usage - my speaker first started cracking and then sound disappered at all. I got it fixed under warranty, they replaced it. Looks like it is some sort of hardware flaw.
so after this case you have changed again your audiopara3 file and now the sound is boosted yeah? during the call and when the phone rings?
I called HTC and they said it needs repair. By now the speaker looks totally broken.
Nice thing is that UPS picked up the phone at my house.
what is UPS?

easy... highly modded audiopara3.cvs can broke (partially) the small speaker membrane... it's not a issue of the modded file itself... but the membrane is very thin so a too high volume can make damages on long run
okay so how I know there is 2 speakers in Diamond - 1. External - for listening to the music, watching videos, when the phone rings
2. Internal, when you are listening to somebody during the call
so I want to know how to increase in audiopara3 parametres only for increasing external speaker, when the phone rings
is it possible?
Hi All,
I have recently purchased this phone and am very pleased with it.
The only issue I have is that in calls when the volume is turned all the way up the earpiece buzzes slightly.
Does anyone else have this issue?
thanks.
Nope, but from what you describe it sounds to me like there's contamination in the earpiece speaker, when the speakers membrane vibrates high enough, the contamination vibrates along and that could be the buzzing sound you hear... unless it's a different kind of buzzing... like continuous buzzing, is it?
The buzzing only occurs when the volume is turned up loud. It is as as if the speaker is loose and is vibrating inside the housing. Also occasionally when i make or answer a call the speaker doesn't work and there is no sound from the other caller.
I plan to return it to the store I bought it and try and get a replacement as surely this is faulty hardware?
It surely isn't a software issue, and unless you have a very poor signal while in call, there should be no reason to have a crappy (or absent) caller sound, other than the possibility I mentioned below, which sounds very likely... Hope they can fix or replace it for you
I contacted both motorola and Three UK (whom I purchased it from) and they both said it was not normal. I returned it to a Three store and got it replaced. The new one has no buzzing so i think its all sorted.
So i have had the replacement for nearly 2 weeks now and the issue has started again. there is a buzzing when in call. it varies with the pitch of the other callers voice but it sounds like there's a bee stuck in the earpiece or the speaker itself is loose and is vibrating.
Im not rough with the phone at all and most of the time it sits on my desk at work.
apparently there is a similar issue with the RAZR M in the U.S
surely I cant be unlucky enough to be the only one in the UK to have this issue and to have it twice....
Okay, so I'm getting annoyed with this phone now. I've had it 5 days, this one is a replacement because the previous one arrived with a damaged (scuffed) camera.
Aside from my other thread asking about the battery, I'm not sure if I have a problem with my main microphone - not the one on the camera. The one used for voice recording etc.
The sound on it is SO low, I have to pump up the volume to full just to barely hear it.
My family members all have a Moto G and that mics quality isn't great, but I figured for a flagship device this mic should be good? Unless I have a faulty mic?
I might try a factory reset to see if that does anything, unless anyone has ideas?
Or should I just return it?
Anybody able to help? Or let me know if their audio quality on audio recording is low (excluding video recording)?
I dunno whether to send off for a replacement or hold on and wait to see if an update fixes it.
I have noticed using Zello that the audio level is quite low compared to other phones and I have to boost the gain in Zello 12 dB to compensate, but the audio quality is excellent in Zello and on cell calls. The cell call noise reduction is excellent and beats my GN4. I have many problems with my N6, but audio quality is not one of them.
So you have to boost the gain to make yourself sound louder?
Hmm. I messaged Motorola and they said it seemed like a fault with my phone but not sure if they were just saying it. I'd rather not send my phone back for a replacement in case the next one is exactly the same and I'm out of a phone for a week +.
As the subject states.
I'm noticing my bottom speaker is massively louder then the top speaker when playing music and when in call on loudspeaker.
I test by simply covering one of the speakers. The effext is very evident.
The top speaker is very low compared to bottom.
Is anyone else noticing this or has my top speaker failed on me?

I'm noticing the same thing. Balance seems to be off.
If you have had it like that since the beginning you are most likely experiencing the same problem i had.
When the phone was built in the factory, a small plastic piece above the speaker wasn't removed correctly so it muffled the speaker. It went under the warranty cause it's a a problem from the factory

Starting to think this is normal?!
Which is weird.
I say normal. Because I just ran the rest on my girlfriends z3c and she notices the same low sound from top speaker.
Lame.
Gonna go test this is store on the demo models see if this is indeed normal...
Tried the demo model in store today I can confirm that both top and bottom speakers provided an EQUAL level of sound (when playing music at least.)
Unlike my phone which has clearly suffered over time through no direct fault of my own.
Sending it back tomorrow
Since I bought the z3c speaker was very low, but after one year and a half it became more and more lower, now still it's working playing music or youtube, alarm .... but when I call stops to work and I can not lisenting nothing persons can ear to me., sometimes they tell me that they lisent to me with a buggy sound
Other thing I feel was that headphones seems sound lower now as well.
Using *#*#7378423#*#* I look for test service and speakers and speaker right works with a low sound but works, but when I try left speaker does not work.
Has z3c left and right speaker? why on hell works on youtube but calling stops to work, maybe is the speaker?
I have tried differents roms, open bootloader and change kernel but still happens.
I'm thinking about to buy speaker and change it, Do you think is speaker problem? I saw loud speaker and ear speaker what is diference? maybe I should change both and mic phone ass well and is anyone speaker louder thand others?
Thank you
Anyone knows a good speakers for z3c or seller is phone parts? I saw on eBay and alien a lot of cheaper speakers, about 2€, I don't trust their speakers are original like they claim.
Any help please, anyone change the speakers?
