Hi all
I'm ready to bite the bullet and buy this watch.. What's the cheapest website it can be bought from in the UK? Preferably a site that someone has used and can recommend.
Thanks all
Chris
Got mine delivered today from mobilefun.co.uk the going rate is 199 and the delivery got muddled up with the click and collect service. Still i had that refunded, and they were apologetic so overall I'm happy. I have seen the same price starting to appear on other sites too.

They thought the click to collect was a home address, therefore needed verification. This delayed the order process. Was all resolved in the end.
Got mine from mobilefun too. Seems fine. Go for it
got mine during the black friday sales on amazon.fr for £161.
unfortunately, after receiving it, I noticed it has a cluster of dead pixels, so I asked for a replacement, which is arriving today.

Hi,
I am looking at buying this from Amazon.fr even though it is on order with Expansys, which I can cancel.
Are there any difficulties in buying this watch from France? Will the packaging, adapters and system updates differ to that in the UK?
Thanks,
Jason
Sector adapter diffrent in France. 2 round pin.
I went to Handtec.co.uk used them before for phones, paid 4.99 next day DPD, they cost around £10 more than cheapest 199 deals but their service is top notch. Got mine a few days ago and all I can say is you will love it.
Always on mode, I don't see the burn in some mention in other threads...
I tend to use black background faces, with bright marks & hands.
Watch looks amazing,
strap is crap, ordered a replacement from Ebay, make sure if you get a new strap it's 22mm wide & 3.0mm - 3.5mm thick at the watch head.

Battery in always ON mode, 18 hours approx, normal use.

there are no difficulties with Amazon.fr. Have Prime myself and got the watch in about 3 days. The watch and accessories are the same except for the wall adapter, which is European (2 pin).
You can use any UK wall adapter however.
Just got mine from Mobile Fun - ordered Sun late night and got it this morning. Well impressed with the speed!
They're also on Quidco so you can get some cashback, and if you check Hot UK Deals, there's a voucher for free royal mail postage which while you can't actually use royal mail (have to pay for courier delivery due to the value), you at least get a couple of quid knocked off delivery
so far i've seen it being sold in a fishy uk online store, which i'd rather not buy from, and romanian and polish stores, which i don't have access to.
chinese online stores shipment takes ages so i'd rather skip those too.
how is it possible to be notified about it becoming available (actually in stock) in new stores in the uk and in around europe? is it predicted to happen soon or it might take a while?
I suggest that you wait for amazon.it , amazon.es. If you have friends in France they can buy it in eLeclerc on 27.8.
I bought mine on gearbest yesterday. Shipping isn't bad for me in the US, I paid 5 extra dollars for 7-10 day shipping. And I got a free $40 mi band 3 which is a good deal.

Is that more trustworthy than Gearbest? They still haven't shipped mine :crying:
It's supposed to be restocked on the 31st, 1-2 days to start shipping, and then 7-10 days to actually ship. It's a pain.

Would you be so kind as to notify us as soon as it arrives? I believe all of the websites are "preselling" it, but I may be wrong. Also could you tell me how the connectivity is for your mobile network? Thanks mate

Yeah I live chatted gear best, they actually get their stock on the 31st. And it'll take 1-2 days to process, and then 7-10 days to ship. They offered me a refund or an exchange instead but I said I'd just wait. So it'll probably be another week until I get it. But as soon as I do I'll post.

USA. So far, it's pretty good, but basically a Mi A1 with a better camera and 18:9 screen.
I have it since yesterday. Love it, I get a nexus feeling with stock android an such good overall speed.
i ordered one waiting for shipment , I read many negative reviews so kinda ruined my excitement for it =( How is the battery. I ordered the 6gb version, do you thinks it's worth over the 4GB?
Howdy All,
It's time to get the hype train rolling! I thought that I would make a pre-order threat in order to help others track our pre-orders and shipping dates.
The official LG V40 release date is Thursday, October 18. As I understand it TMO will be offering the pre-order on this Friday 10/12/2018.
So first up in the US: The LG V40 Thinq is now available for pre-order from B & H Photo. :highfive: UPDATE - The price has dropped to $749 on B&H website.
Link: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1436639-REG/lg_lmv405qa7_ausabk_v40_thinq_64gb_smartphone.html
Details: LG V40 ThinQ 64GB Smartphone (Unlocked, Aurora Black) MFR # LMV405QA7.AUSABK
I was able to place a pre-order for this phone today. I'm taking this route over pre-ordering from T Mobile because I want root ASAP and missed having root when I received the TMO LG V30. That along with the fact that I will get a square trade warranty for the phone makes it a better option. The wallet hurts for a bit but in the long run I'll be happier and less likely to give my phone to my daughter .
I'll be watching as TMO and others officially allow for pre-orders and I'll post the details here for an easy one-stop-shop for pre-orders.
*UPDATE 10/12/2018 - TMO website has LG V40 listed as IN STOCK! Details here: https://www.t-mobile.com/cell-phone/lg-v40-thinq
Also, the preorder website is now up. Great preorder goodies! https://lg-promotions.com/us/en/pages/lgv40preorder/home
Just a heads-up that T Mobile website has the LG V40 and is showing IN STOCK as of 2pm EST. I went for unlocked but TMO folks will bet the phone first!

EDIT: Got my e-mail at 6:05PM PST!
Shipping through UPS, scheduled for delivery on Friday. I had selected the free standard shipping when I ordered.
Got notification @831pm CST saying that it has shipped ??
Paid for expedited shipping because I'm hedonistic af.
Should be in hand by 330pm tomorrow. I'll be going into work late so I can get er up and running haha.

Damn, I should've done overnight shipping. I called Sprint yesterday trying to get the shipping speed changed, but the outsourced overseas support agents weren't any help.

In the past I've always had most success contacting my Sprint store directly OR by using the online chat method. YMMV.

I'm debating getting one due to that. Sine it's not being sold in Canada this makes it much more appealing because in order to import it i would be required to pay duty on it.
I'm hearing some chatter about the P30 Pro being delayed in the UK. Has anyone received confirmation of this? If so, any idea why? I have a VOG-L09 on pre-order from a UK retailer for shippment to the US and I was told the phone will be released to them on April 12th. Hoping that's still a go!? Also hoping the delay is because they are fixing the video recording ... But that's another thread...

Not seen anything like that being reported in the UK. Stores have stock in my town and it can be ordered online for next day delivery from the UK biggest retailers (L09 and L29 models). The 512gb Amber Sunrise model isn't available yet, that is still on pre-order and shipping near the end of the month.,
I have the VOG-L29 dual sim model, doesn't appear to have any red tint video issues.
I received mine on release day here in the UK

I'm guessing you've probably seen the delays that people that ordered direct from Vodafone are suffering from. Elsewhere stocks are fine on most colours, think the breathing crystal has been the most popular.

That could be true, I think it was a carrier model I saw people screaming about on Twitter. I ordered mine from a store called Technolec UK and they advised that their unlocked devices would be released to them by Huawei on the 12th. Sounds like mine will be shipping to me in the US soon after. Thanks!

Never heard of that store, guessing they are probably an importer waiting for stock to arrive from Europe rather than direct from Huawei. All of the big retailers in the UK were allowed to sell it for delivery on the 5th onwards. If you want a more well known store that has stock and ships worldwide check out "Clove".

They are supposedly a family owned brick and mortar that is an "authorized Huawei retailer." When I pre-ordered on April 2nd they were the only ones with 100% positive reviews on eBay with 17,000 transactions so I went with them. Can't do much now but wait because it's too late to cancel. Fingers crossed!

Hello all, I have a general question about Pixel phones.
I have wanted to own one for a long time, but sadly in Hong Kong, the last phones I could order directly from Play Store were Nexus phones. We can occasionally find them in grey markets, but this is such an unpopular device that it's always a second hand phone sold by some tourist passing by....
I would really like to get away from One Plus and Xiaomi and am not interested in Samsung and such. So I decided that this year, I'd get myself a Pixel 5 for Christmas
So my question, anybody had experience using some online store to get Pixel phones to countries where they are not officially sold?
I could ask friends or family back in France to help me to order it then send, but I'm always a little wary about using the "normal" post channels to ship something like this which is expensive and could be blocked at the customs.
Any experience and advice to share?
If the Google Store price and subsequent postage is within your budget, and you know you won't have any issues with customs, you could order it from the German Google Store and a mail forwarding service like mailbox.de to ship it from Germany to your country.
Google does not ship in other countries, only the ones they have a store, like Germany. You sign up at mailboxde and they give you an address within Germany. You order the phone through the Google Store, and put that address for delivery. When the phone arrives there, they will notify you and you can forward it to your own address.
Now, there are other forwarding services too but I've only used mailboxde, and that a few years ago when I got the first OnePlus device. Also I have no idea how much it would cost to ship the package from Germany to your country, for Greece it was around 20 euros extra and took two to three working days to arrive.

I have a Pixel 5 from Amazon UK due to be delivered by DHL to my home in Lai Chi Kok today... No problem ordering internationally, no VAT to pay, a few days for shipping (would be quicker if Amazon hadn't sent it around the country for a couple of days) - but it is out of stock right now. I've used a bunch of non-local phones in Hong Kong over the years - including an HTC Desire I bought from Fnac in Paris while transiting, which had been rooted in a cafe before I got on the plane to HK

I did not know that Amazon could do delivery like this to other countries for those devices... I usually see the message "not available to ship to HK so I just generally give up
I'll probably do like this later when the phone is more easily available.

Ah. sounds bad, and I see how it must be disappointing if you wanted to use it.
But really, 5G, I feel it's not something so essential in our lives
In any case, it is one of the risks of import like this indeed....
Pixel 5 in Hong Kong
I ordered mine from Amazon UK. I got a Pixel 5 UK version. Shipping direct to Hong Kong, so no VAT. Shipping is not expensive at amazon. However, it will only work in 4G. It will not work with the 5G network in Hong Kong. If you plan on using it in a different country, check. It is not a frequency issue. The frequency is supported, but it is other software issue. If anyone have answer to this, please let me know.
Thanks.
I ordered my phone through Amazon UK using a forward company to my country, had to pay VAT when it arrived which made me a bit sad
All my sadness disappeared when I sent a claim for Bose headphones and they validated my order. expecting them to ship it in two weeks.

actually, yeah they did but I never used them. Sold them for around $230 or something similar
Thanks a lot for info. Last one - what forwarding service have you used, please?
But I guess as there´s limit 2 order per adress, it would be already unusable anyway
