Hi,
I have am (still) running the vanilla 5.1.1 firmware, rooted, with a lollipop permissive kernel and TWRP 3.1.0. I am trying for some time now to install LineageOS 14.1 or other nougat ROMs, and I always run into a boot loop at the first "Samsung Galaxy Tab S2" screen. I tried installing different Nougat kernels with the Roms, but to no avail. Any help would be highly appreciated, because I still love this tablet but I'd really like to have a more up to date ROM...!
Nevermind, I got it figured out: I had to upgrade the stock firmware to 7.0 first. Now installing Nougat ROMs works.

CYANGANMOD 4.4 , 5.0, 5.1 WORKED PERFECTLY.
I have a SM-G800F that's been running 4.2.2 forever. Last night I attempted to upgrade to 5.1.1 using Odin, afterwards I'm caught in a bootloop (just the Samsung logo). I tried recommended steps of wiping cache / factory reset from the recovery menu but no dice. I then attempted to flash 6.0.1 stock onto it, same problem.
Any help would be appreciated. When it was on 4.2.2 it was rooted with stock samsung fw and TWRP installed.
Just to add an update here, I flashed TWRP on it and then a LineageOS 14.1 Custom Rom with little hassle. Still not sure why the stock upgrade failed, possibly due to it being rooted already. Runs Android 7.1 beautifully so far.
I have an old Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 SM-T217A (S3..?) I got from ATT 10 years ago maybe and it's still in perfect condition. I'd like to root it and update the OS from 4.2.2 to 4.4.2... I have the ODIN and Samsung drivers. Can anyone provide further instruction on where to find a stable OS. I only want to use for Tiny CAM Pro...
Your device is Tab 3 7.0",
There seems to be unofficial build or Resurrection Remix Oreo, so far seems there's no bugs.
Try it:

It's easy, 1st flash TWRP via Odin, then get into recovery, do a simple wipe, flash ROM ( & GApps if you want), then reboot.

Hello all! I recently flashed twrp on my samsung galaxy a30 and tried installing Pixel experience but the phone keeps going into a bootloop. I tried all the custom roms out there and it still won't boot into any of them. I unlocked the boot loader and can reflash the samsung with odin but I can't seem to get a custom rom on there. I tried reflashing twrp multiple times and with different versions (all work) but it would not help the situation. Any ideas?
