Nothing can be done. That's a common issue with sprout, the EMMC gets damaged, and the phone doesn't boot. Then you SP Flash it, and that completely corrupts the EMMC. It happened to mine, too. Only way to fix it is to replace the EMMC and program it, but few places can do that. Get a new phone.
Thing is, if you hadn't SP Flash'd it, you could actually still boot it by writing the ROM to the SD Card. Performance would have been reduced, but it'd still work. Now, can't do anything.

Hello! New member here so please excuse me if I'm posting to the wrong forum or anything like that.
Not to take long of your time, I can't get my phone to boot. It shows the 2 LG logos and won't proceed beyond that. So I need to know if there's a way to flash a ROM and a Recovery with it like that.
Thanks for the help.

Can you access CWM? Try to pull out the battery, put it in, press power button + volume down at the same time. Wait til the LG logo appears and release it.

I guess you need to flash the stock ROM by using SmartFlashTool. Its easy to use. There's a thread that has simple instructions.

As weird as this is, I suddenly can start into recovery. Is SmartFlashTool still the way to go? I ask because I don't want to ruin things any further.
Thanks again for the help.

Really?! That's great to know.
Recovery is v5.0.2.7
ETA: I flashed the ROM I had on before all that mess started and now my phone is working again. I'm not sure if things went awry because AOKP's last build was screwed or because I removed the SDcard before flashing in an attempt to force the phone to use the 5GB of internal memory that has been sitting useless since I got the device.
can't I flash the last owaine version I used?

It is.
I wiped every thing before flashing the ROM and I have a complete copy of all the files I had on the SDcard saved on my PC. As soon as it finishes charging I'll move the TB files back to the SDcard and see if I can restore my apps. Unfortunately, I have to redo my system settings by hand. But I don't really mind.
Thanks a lot for your help. I really appreciate it.

Coping of files on to internal SD card take long time.

Boot into recovery, connect your phone to computer, mound sdcard. Its under mounts and storage in cwm.Now your computer will show your sdcard.Copy your rom.zip and flash it with recovery as usual.
Why dont you justtry to flash a stock rom? Then, once its running you can root it and flash anything you want trough cwm...

I am downloading stock rom now and as you said I will do . first boot in recovery and mount SD card, Copy Stock rom to SD Card. and then flash it.
at presently I am downloading the stock rom. it may take some time. will let you know what is the result. I am going to office now will update the post after 9 or 10 hours.
This becomes handy for others also.
Thanks for the advice.

This confused the sh1t outta me. Why is Samsung so damn complicated? So there are some ROMs you have to have a certain recovery to flash? My god, with HTC, once you have recovery, you flash whatever the hell you want. I got my mom a GNex for mothers day (even though I hate Samsung) and intended to root it and keep it up to date for her. But all this crazy talk about having to use certain modems (whatever the hell that is) with certain recoveries and certain ROMs, wow on a Dec device? So confused and disappointed. .
Jesus. With HTC, once you got recovery, you flash whatever radio, ROM, and kernel you want. None of the trick secret Sammy BS. Unbelievable since it's supposed to be a dev device.
Any help with Sammy always welcomed.

its rooted and i know i cant bring it to waranty store help please
1. try going into recovery and do a factory reset.
2. if that doesn't help, reflash and all your problems are solved.
do a clockwork mod backup before messing around next time

Use LG mobile support tool, also its "stuck" not "stock"
What are you on? He needs to reflash the rom as he changed the fonts and some may be missing, happens to loads of people, no need for a factory reset, just restore the fonts folder or reflash the rom, if you don't have an unlocked bootloader, bite the bullet, unlock ya bootloader and come over to AOSP in which i would recommend a 4.2.2 ROM.. or do the long winded way of flashing the stock Rom, your all giving some real extreme methods, it doesn't have to be this complicated..

asking for spoonfeeding isn't gonna help you in XDA forums.
instead of wasting your time here look for that guide to reflash in PLAIN SIGHT.

So , I have tried every version of TWRP I can find Including PHILZ , and none of them will open zips to flash everything fails,Also my nandroid backups fail to flash as well after i do a factory reset........ md5s are fine.. Ive also made sure they aren't ZIP.ZIP.. Ive done a fairly extensive search to no avail.Has anyone come across this problem? .. frustrating... Im on the hk firmware S-off rooted
In twrp settings did you make sure that Theme testing isn't on.. Even So on that screen press default settings tab and reset twrp flashing settings... Just in case you have a sticky setting..
ya tried that too .. unfortunately it didn't work..... i don't think its a TWRP only problem because PHILZ wont work either .. the recovery just wont open any zips

A while back on a different device i had the same issue. I relocked the bootloader, and then went through the whole process of unlocking again (at htc-dev) reflashed the recovery did fastboot erase cache and reinstalled SU. was kind of a hassle but it worked. Worth a shot maybe.

Or you can delete your TWRP folder from sdcard and reflash recovery...that has helped me before
Also what are you trying to flash somethings are not meant to be flashed in recovery some are fast boot/bootloader flash setups

Yeah that is because by default the m8 has external sdcard r/w protection I believe. So yeah moving it could work
