Hi all!
Sadly verizon removed the device maintenance edge panel from the Verizon note 8. Anyone know how to get it back? And help would be appreciated.
What happens if you try to install Device Maintenance, does it let you?

On n preview 3 it appears that the enhanced LTE toggle for data while in call on Verizon is gone, can anyone confirm or is it just me??
its a "beta", that means that it WILL have issues. and, they dont take any reports of issues with it.

Neither is my n6 but the toggle has nothing to do with Verizon. Enjoy
Does *#*#4636#*#* work to get to the testing menu? If so, check to see that the VOLTE provisioning flag is on in the phone information menu. The button will say turn on or off telling you what will happen if you press it.

I can get into the menu and toggle the VOLTE provisioning control but it doesn't hold after backing out of the menu.
My switch works just fine on Verizon. Have you tried to reflash the preview?

Works fine on my device. Don't know your update process but I factory reset my device (been a while since I did), set up clean Marshmallow then applied the N6 beta 3 OTA. After the OTA updated my enhanced LTE was already toggled on.
Edit: Might want to check the Verizon website to see if the device is still recognized????
Hi everyone. Happy new year.
I have just bought Samsung Galaxy S6 (G920A) which is on 5.1.1 and having baseband G920AUCU3BOJ7.
[/B]The phone is not rooted but device status is custom.
[/B]Third the knox error "unauthorized actions have been detected"
And last screen mirroring shows hardware issue unable to connect.
Any help regarding these issues will be highly appreciated. I want to update to marshmallow but worry about phone network lock.

The first problem is that the IMEI on the back cover doesn't match the software imei.
The phone is not rooted but device status is custom.
Second problem is that it doesn't save wifi networks, have to re-enter password again after switching wifi on off.
Third the knox error "unauthorized actions have been detected"
And last screen mirroring shows hardware issue unable to connect.

Device imei not matching software imei sounds extremely sketchy.
Yes that's I know. But there are possibilities like back cover was broken then changed or maybe motherrboaed.. Just concerned about if the imei is changed via software that will be a problem. Anyways any solution for the problem.?
fix
I got same problem with ts. such as forgettable wifi password and annoying notification about security. Any possibilities to fix it??
Thanks in advance

Got a notification from Bixby today about setting up find my phone from Samsung. Went to do that and its not there. Verizon removed it because they offer a pay service that does the same. I know people have done system dumps, but i'm wondering has anyone added this feature back to phone that it was removed from?

just go to play store and download android device manager/ find my phone from google
I have that solution but from what I've researched the Samsung one can turn on the location if it's been turned off to facilitate finding the device.
I always use Cerberus and disable find my device. Have for yrs.

How does this even make sense? How would a device get a command to turn on if it's off? Also, no this isn't a feature for Samsung Find My Phone; it does have other neat features though
Does anyone know how to get rid of this annoying wifi icon on the left? I have tried and tried to get rid of it and it will not stay away?
I am also very intrigued by that icon, I hope someone here knows about it....

You have it too?
I can't get rid of it. It keeps coming back. It started after the recent update.
Do you use macrodroid?

No
I only get the icon on the left when I've connected to any open network that needs to open a web page to complete the connection.
Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk
I will swipe it away and it comes back
I am not sure if this helps but my 2 cents -
Own a 128gb N9500 from HK
Based in the US (friend brought it here)
I can add US based credit cards in the Samsung Pay app
Able to pay using Samsung Pay
Cannot change CSC to US so stuck with HK offers
I think as long as your bank supports Samsung Pay, you can add it regardless on where you got your device supporting Samsung Pay. Too bad that there's no dual sim option here in the US but if there were, I would have bought it in a heartbeat.
it happened to my phone as well after the update. what I did is just put the "auto-protect" in OFF.
Setting-> connection-> wi-fi -> advanced (on the top) -> secure wi-fi Auto protect -> OFF
hope this will help
When I switched to Samsung I always wonder where is the is mobile data toggle and i thought it was just a Samsung thing.
Just checked my friends s8 and it has a mobile toggle. My question is how do I get the mobile toggle on the note 9????
I got my note from Samsung retail Canadian store.
Is this a regional thing? Cause some people have it and some don't. If that's the case is there anyway I can enable it without flashing or rooting anything ?
Thank you.

I had the same issue. My wife has the S9 and I have the Note 9 and both got it from Samsung Canada too and the mobile data toggle is missing. So basically, I did the instructions from the YouTube video and it works on both of our and restores the mobile data toggle. You can try it yourself. No root needed either
Also, Everytime there's an update, the mobile data toggle disappears so you need to do it again. It's pretty easy, just a few commands and that's it.
Hope it works for you.
I forgot to attach the pic. You can see I have the mobile data toggle on my Note 9.

Thank you for the response. Seems easy to do but annoying to keep on doing after each update.
I hope Samsung can be more consistent with this ??*
