W150 on screen at charging blinking bolt in battery icon - LG Watch Urbane

Hello.
Yesterday evening connected watch to charging and was around 70% of battery when started charging. Morning taken watch and it was blind. Connected to charger again and only bolt blink in battery icon. Before that was problem to get charging start and needed lot of time to find right how it started to charge. Are that watch contacts problem or charger terminal problem or something else? Cleaned contacts with cleaner. It boot up to Android Wear text and then power of or just black screen, then starts again in battery icon blinking bolt and after some time start booting again.
Best!
Sven

I had that problem, too... it became more and more difficult to charge the watch, initially I needed to reposition the charger, then some initial pressure on the charger, then constant pressure on the charger, but at the very end it was nearly impossible to charge. I also tried to clean the contacts on the watch with no success.
Luckily I bought the watch at Amazon and they exchanged the watch as the problem occured well within the first 6 months.
I assume that the internal connection to the charging contacts became broken (which would explain that initially some pressure on the charger helped) but the situation obviously got worse over time. With the replacement, I did not experience that problem anymore.

Sended to warranty, see what they say.

Kaiser not charging

Hiya,
about an hour ago I plugged my nearly dead Kaiser to the standart charger and connected it using bluetooth to my notebook. I was very surprised to hear the "Batter is very low" sound a few minutes later. I checked the screen and noticed that the display read "Charging" no more. Blink - and it's stone dead. I replugged the charger and started the device again. Batter was at 1% and began charging. As soon as it hit 15% of battery life, it stopped charging again, although "Recharging state: Charging" status remained. I switched to USB charger to see if it makes any difference - and it did. It started discharging the battery! Now it's plugged back in the standart charger again and it reads 14% for several minutes now. It looks more like it's "holding it there" than charging.
I tried two different USB cabels, the "wall" charger (English is really not my native language, I don't know the proper word - sorry) and no luck.
Three or four soft resets, pulling out and returning the battery, nothing running in the background - just Phone, Data Connection and Internet Sharing. I'm using unmodified radio and Sleuth 3.0 ROM.
P.S. It looks to me that the battery is discharging much more faster than I was used to. As soon as I pull the charger out, the battery drops two or three percent.
Any ideas? I'm afraid my Kaiser / battery is dead.
EDIT: The battery is warm and I can see the "charging" icon in the kaiser's taskbar

About the charging LED, usually yellow, turned to red? Just to clarify better your situation for all members here.
When the charger is disconnected, it flashes green, when I plug in the charger, it turns orange.
No RED led. That is a very good thing.
Do you don't have any spare battery already or maybe a friend will have one?
Looks like a fault battery - are you using it since when?
I bought this Kaiser about a month ago, but it's not new. The previous owner bought it in November, last year. The battery was healthy until today.
This sounds like a battery issue to me also. These are classic signs of a dying battery. The good news is that the phone is still trying to charge it.
Just as an experiment I took out my battery and put it on a multimeter. At 94% charged (when I took it out) it showed 4.09 volts and 1240mAh. I've had my tilt for 3.5 months now.
Try a hard reset could fix a program gliche if you have one..but it does sound like you have a "croaking battery"
ME TOO--
Was tempted to start a new thread, but figured someone might still read this one.
Last night my Tilt was fine,
and today I noticed that it was incredibly warm/hot to touch. After being plugged in and charging normally for a while, I looked back and noticed that the charging icon was not displaying anymore--just the normal battery icon.
This began last night as well, whenever my battery would hit 100% it would stop displaying the charging icon and return to the battery icon. I would then unplug it and plug it back in and it would go back to normal.
As of right now, it goes back and forth between refusing to show me the charging icon and showing me the charging icon. The light is yellow/orange.
Does this probably mean my battery is dying? Even when the charge icon refuses to show up, when I plug in the charger the backlight switches to the external power profile level of brightness.
It really came out of nowhere. I'm hoping it's some fluke that came out of nowhere, or that some strange registry key that decides it's going to jack up my hardware temperature, drain my battery, and not want to be plugged in anymore got changed.
It's about 2 months old, and I'd be really disappointed if the battery was already croaking.
O wise sages of xda-dev, please enlighten me. The thing charges really slowly now.

Battery does not charge

So friday I noticed that the time would lag. sometimes 20 minutes, sometimes 2 hours behind, a soft reset put it back in normal time. Weird. Today I went to grab it to go to work as it had been charging all night long with a steady green light. I open it up and there is a red icon for the battery...23%..... I hook it back up to the AC adapter and see what it does, it shows a plug to symbolize charging and I check it 30 minutes later, it has dropped to 20%. My bluetooth is off. I now have it hooked up to the AC adapter and removed the battery, i have the battery on a charging dock and the TyTn II has a faint red LED where the normal area for the charging LED is. I am gonna see whats happening in an hour with the battery...
Has this bricked?
Time lags and battery does load now. Its only been in use for 9 months, never been dropped.
Pete
I love how people never think the battery is going bad and always think it's the phone right off the bat.
Try another battery and see what happens. Hopefully you bought it new and still have the warranty on it.
Okaaaaaaaaaay....I do not lack in the technical department. The battery charges on the dock and I got it up to 100%. I loaded it back in the TyTn and let it sit for 3-4 hours and it dropped to 90%. I hooked up the AC Charger to it and I got the steady light up on top like it normally charged before all this. The battery continued to drain. I now have it powered completely off and using my old KRZR....(smartphone to cell phone....wonderful) I have a new battery on the way for a week now so it should arrive shortly.
Some wiring leading from the Mini-usb to the actual battery must be corroded or something. I cant explain it...I do live by the sea, and if the contacts are not gold plated in there...I can see some problems occurring. I doubt the warranty would still be intact as I have upgraded the ROM to Win 6.1

Thanks Garfield....I knew there had to be some sort of explanation....

SGS charging without charger plugged in

The other day I was in a hospital and my phone was next to the bed but the charger wire was tangled in the bed. So a nurse came up and rolled out the bed and the phone fell from quite high on the (hard) floor.
It still worked, screen wasn't cracked so I didn't think much of it.
But now, the phone can be charged with the charger. As soon as I unplug the charger there are 2 things that can happen:
1. The phone keeps saying it's charging. Other than that the phone is fully functional. Battery drain is much higher though, in 10 minutes I lose 7% battery.
2. The charging icon in the battery will flash on and off. When I switch off the screen, the lock-screen immediatly turns on and the text charging blinks, it's like someone is plugging in the charger and takes it out immediatly, battery drain is even higher when this occurs, I lose 50% within the hour, depending of what I'm doing.
Sometimes the problem is not there, the phone will function normally, but the problem will come back within 1 or 2 hours and usually when I plug in a charger and take it out later. Also, sometimes it seems the phone is not charging and the charge indicator will stay at a certain percentage but when I reboot the phone it it fully charged (according to the indicator).
First I thought it was an android problem. But when I switch off the phone the charging image appears as well and starts blinking, also the menu and back button flash on and off. It's also quite difficult to switch on the phone at this point and the battery image shows only the outline of the battery, not how much charge is in it.
So far I tried 2 other chargers, 2 other batteries (1 original Samsung and 1 after market). Rebooted the phone many times and left the battery out for an hour.
Anyone knows of what causes such a problem? Of course, the fall was the start of the problem. Could there be some pins bent in the usb socket of the phone?

I had a problem recently in which even though I kept my phone on charging (and it showed that it is charging), the battery percentage either remained same or it went down even though it was plugged in.. went to samsung and they said the usb port is damaged and they replaced it.. I think the same resolution will be for your problem
Mmm....makes sense. What does Samsung charge for that?

LG Urbane (gen1) not charging.

Hi I have my urbane for a few years now and yesterday, it decided to stop charging. I think that it run out of battery and no it doesn't charge.
When I place it on the charger, the screen turns on with a battery icon and a bolt for about a sec and then goes back to black screen, then it turns on again. I left it on a wall plug with a big charger for about a night, but without any luck. I have checked the pins both on the charger and on the watch, but they look ok.
Any ideas?
No one? Is the urbane forum as dead as my watch and the EOL product? =P

Hi, I had a similar problem, but my watch got the LG screen in reboot loop. I bought a BL-S3 battery and replaced myself (it´s very easy BTW, look for a Youtube video) and now it´s working like a charm.

Same problem happened with my urbane. Actually the battery is not dead, the chip that regulates the battery is dead, instead. I replaced that chip and its working flawless :good:
Had it been the battery, the battery would not have suddenly stopped working, instead it would have diminished its performance slowly.
Your battery is fine, just change the chip that regulates the battery charging. You'll find it inside the battery wrap.
Mine has been acting weird.. it seems to last fine throughout the day.. but when I put it on the charger at night. it will show charging.. but i'll walk up to it at 15 or 20 %... if I take it off and put back on.. it will charge to 100 and then be fine for the day... it has done this several nights... so not sure if something wakes it and drains it at night.. or if it is the chip...
I've come across a similar problem. I left my charger at home by accident while on vaca. Currently stuck on "Power Off" shutting down. Prior to that, it wouldn't charge. Very weird.
* Edit * - Fixed issue by taking off back, detaching from board then reattaching. Seems to be like normal.

What chip? My urbane is having issues
I had a similar problem today, flashing the battery symbol, obviously it had shut down but didn't seem to want to charge
messed about with it on the charging dock and then hit the power button and and it booted, although at 1% seems to have started charging again, not sure what is going on but during typing this message it is now at 9% and seems to be charging normally or well very fast since it is now at 14%
First problem I have had with this watch

Same question here, what chip is that? just a simple voltag regulator? do you have the PN for this?

Here is a link to a fix according to some users. Have tried on my watch but I wasn't able to boot it after the this (not yet).
EDIT: I open my watch again and did the soldering process one more time. I actually a terrible job but even than i was able to bring my phone back to live.
I just had this same problem.
The watch switched between battery symbol and logo when placed in the cradle. I tried entering fastboot by swiping from top left to bottom right when the logo showed. This worked!
From the recovery menu i simply chose to "Power Off" and the watch rebooted just fine while cradled, and started charging.

Do that battery resitor change process and it should get work again, for my Urbane it did the trick, for my G Watch R I wasn´t so lucky.
I really like this post
Mustafa
I strongly recommend you not touch the watch itself. All is about the charger pad. The 5 pins should stick with the watch while charging but after 1 year or more using it, the pins get stuck inside the charging pad, resulting in short circuit or something like this. Therefore it is not about the watch itself or the battery but the charging pad. Try to clean the pins with wd-40 in order to make the bows underneath the pins work properly or change the charging pad with a new one.

Slow charge, now no charge, but still responds.

One morning after being plugged in all night my battery was only 8%, I fired up Ampere and it was being charged but super slow and flattening, I tried a few previously working cables and chargers and same issue, then it went flat. Now no matter how long I charge it it won't power back on. I plug it in and the screen shows flat battery and notification light comes on, but then it turns off and stays off. Ive left it full days on chargers and PC to see if it could work it out.
Has anyone had this?
I see videos on USB replacement which I can try, although it was sudden not slow wear. I've cleaned the port to no avail.
I haven't found anyone in this country that can repair it as I had to grey import. The importer will work on the model but says they will definitely factory reset which I'd like to avoid
Brad.
Btw the usb port had corrosion that spread to the phone and it was not repairable. I've never had a phone that lasted such a short time, but that matched what everyone I talked to about Sony phones said, good but too fragile.
