When the Mrs calls me from her vehicle via her Note 8 connected via Bluetooth to her 2016 Prius, the audio voice call I receive is loud but I can always hear some sort of artifacts in her voice.
Is there any settings on the phone that need to be changed ?

I'm interested in using my phone as a camcorder to record my video blogs. I haven't been able to find any information on

B. Wireless microphones that work with our phone's

I'm guessing that there's no solution for this.
I've considered using my blue tooth headset as the microphone receiver because this feature is available in Easy VoiceRecorder Pro but I don't see any setting adjustments in the video recording setup.

Απ: Suggestions for a wireless microphone for video recording
I have built this adapter http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=36038426 for using an external mic. Can't use it yet cause I lack the mic
Also you can look for fm wireless transmitters in evilBay. They sell really cheap and can record from very far.
Answered my own question
I was able to record sound from my Plantronics blue tooth headset. I'm not happy with the sound quality but I am happy that it works. Now I need look into purchasing a bluetooth microphone. Any suggestions??
Terribly sorry for wasting a thread. Hopefully this will answer someone else's questions about this feature.

Trying to record from my bt hands free with easy voice recorder the app informs me that the max audio quality that a bt device can record is limited to 8khz which explains your disappointment. So the bt solution is not an option.
My first question is whether the built in camera can use a bt external mic?
or is there an app that would?
also, Im using the samsung hs3000 for my external headset and the device has a built in mic which i thought would make it a great bt lapel mic...
i'll have to break it out and see if it works (or look for a camera app that enables the use of an external mic)
I was able to use my bluetooth headset with the camera app but not with my voice recorder app. The voice recorder app gives very poor sound quality when using the Bluetooth headset.

Im also looking for a solution to record videos on my SM-G900F (Samsung Galaxy S5) using the mic on bluetooth from Bose A20 headset. Hopefully some apps will make it possible for me.
Hi, my N6 have a weird call problem in my 2012 Prius. It calls out fine using bluetooth but when receiving a call it wouldn't go through the car bluetooth speaks/mic. I can take the call using the cars button on steering wheel but the audio to be still using the earpiece or phone speaker. There is no audio through the car speakers. the weird part is it only happens when receiving calls not dialing out. Latest 6.0.1 update and non-root stock rom. Thanks.

Did you join just to thread jack in a totally inappropriate section of XDA? Move to the HTC threads and ask there.
Do you have the option to switch between audio on the phones dialer screen? For example, when talking and connected to bluetooth I can cycle between earpiece (quite speaker), bluetooth audio(bluetooth device), and speaker (loud speaker).
Has anyone managed to get incoming through the watch speaker rather than the smartphone speaker?
Outgoing via the watch microphone works fine.
Shame it can't work untethered via LTE.
I have my Galaxy Note 8 hooked up to my Pioneer NEX4200 headunit in my car. When I'm streaming music/youtube, there's a sound kind of like the old mechanical noise from a cassette player that is quiet but audible. I do not get the sound when streaming music when the phone is hooked up via AndroidAuto. I also, occasionally, get a quiet high pitched tone (almost like slight tinnitus) when connected via normal BT. I have yet to test the phone with other bluetooth sources, but I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this.
Dunno , but when my wife calls me using BT from her car, I hear screeching type noises in her voice, almost like compression.

My phone calls are all good, it's just streaming music.
I have several bt devices, and I have observed that with two, the noise is somewhat choppy, with another, sounds crackling, I use bt since my sonyericsson k700i, around 12 years ago, but, I started to note issues with bt starting with my note 3 onwards, I think that the evolution of bt has somewhat screwed backwards compatibility
The headphones work fine when I am using for listening to music or audiobook. However, if the phone rings for receiving/making the call, there is no sound via headphones. Is there any setting which I am missing or the headphones are not compatible with phone calls?

Just to add to this. I also noticed this yesterday while using my Google Type C headphones. I wonder if it has to do with OTG? On my 1+6 I had to enable OTG every time I wanted to use the headphones.

I have found similar issue posted on samsung S9 phone forum. Seems it is an issue and there is no fix.
